Hey guys

I was just thinking today about how Buffy is a Capricorn on the cusp of Aquarius.
Now I'm wondering about everyone else's Joss didn't mention anyone else I don't think. But if there is anyone out there who knows or if you guys wanna have a guessing game feel free!

I would guess Giles to be a Virgo, all that book learning and great memory and the general shyness and up-tightness.

Willow definitely a Scorpio - which would explain why she is so powerful and can tap into all those magical energies.

Xander would be a good solid Taurus, practical, down to earth, loyal, stubborn.

I don't think Willow is a Scorpio...

I'd wager that Faith is a Scorpio. Scorpios stubbornly cling to emotional attachments. They rarely forget or forgive emotional rejection. They have to learn that jealousy and possessiveness are self-defeating. Re-channeling negative feelings and experiences into constructive activity benefits others, as well as themselves. No other sign has the emotional strength of Scorpio.

I think Willow is a Pisces on the cusp of Aries....LIKE ME!! Pisceans adapt emotionally to their environment. Often painfully shy, they are adept at imitating the mannerisms of other people in order to hide their own personalities. A Piscean can too easily become a victim by identifying with the personality and problems of other people, because this severely restricts the development of their own personality and talent.
Also, Aries people need to keep physically busy. They accomplish many things simply because of their restless energy. They need to learn how to make constructive use of their energetic efforts. The typical Aries urge is to take on more than can be done reasonably well. Though others may find it difficult to keep pace with an Aries, they are attracted to their animation and spirited personality.

Willow is the perfect blend of Pisces/Aries IMO.

I'm convinced that Anya is a Gemini. Using their communicative skills, Geminis adapt to any situation they encounter. However, they must learn to speak with candor instead of simply repeating what others want to hear. Geminis have clever tongues and develop an amazing ability to obscure the facts with stimulating and imaginative chatter.

And to finish my rant I think Angel is a Cancer. Cancerians get things done through the power of their emotional commitment. Not only do they aggressively work to accomplish the goals inspired by their own feelings, they also know how to appeal to the emotions of others. By making other people feel like family members, Cancerians effectively motivate others to get things done. They have to learn how to reach an emotional balance since they tend to be overly sensitive and moody.

Pisces would have been my second choice for Willow, so I'm not going to disagree with you too strongly there. Not picking up much Aries though for Willow.

In astrology, there's no such thing as being on the cusp. You are either one sun sign or another. It's the biggest myth that you can be 'on the cusp'.

You're right on Angel, he's the poster child for Cancer! Works well with Buffy being a Capricorn as well. Cap and Cancer are opposite signs and there's often a fatal attraction between people in opposite signs.

I have to agree with airgirl on the 'cusp' thing. I know a bit about astrology, however I've learned more about Wicca, Crystals, Tarot, Esoterica, Different Gods etc.

As far as I have always known, 'being on the cusp' is just a bit of a made-up thing that these 'psychic's' in magazines and newspapers have made popular.

Like I said, Astrology isn't my strong point, so I'll post about this on a few of the Wiccan forum's that I visit.

I'm an astrologer, so the temptation is to get into a long astrological rant, but I will try and restrain myself a bit

Basically, the Sun doesn't enter a sign on the exact same date every year. The Sun spends 30 days in each sign +/- a few hours, so is not in synch with our calendar. In newspaper horoscope columns, therefore, the start and end dates for each sign are not strictly accurate, which led to the columnist astrologers suggesting that people born near the cusp read both signs to see which fits best, which led to the idea, as Aaron says, that if you are 'on the cusp' you have a bit of both signs.

If you are a cusp baby, it's very easy to find out exactly which sign your sun is in once and for all by getting a quick free chart done on the internet. Try www.alabe.com or www.astro.com

For those of you who insist that you have some traits of the other sign, so being on the cusp must exist, you need to know that is very common to have personal planets in the sign before and after your sun sign, such as Mercury, Venus and Mars. Therefore, you will have some traits of that sign, but the energies will be different from your Sun sign. It's well worth finding out about your chart

You guys are so helpful, CowboyGuy your so eliquent with the words of each sign, I'm inclined to agree with everything that you said. You too airgirl, your an astrologer, thats SOO cool.

Faith is a Sagittarius.

Her official biography's stated her birthday; I can't remember the exact date off the top of my head but I know she's a Sag and that her bday is in December.

I think her personality matches that of a Sagittarius pretty well too: free-spirited, blunt, philosophical, careless, tactless...

And I think Faith has a Scorpio moon. While her general interior is that of a Sagittarius, she has Scorpio emotions, which would explain why she attacks or becomes resentful when she gets hurt. And other times, she just becomes an emotional mess (like in "Five By Five")

I never really thought Buffy being written as a "Capricorn on the cusp of Aquarius" seemed very accurate. Capricorns are said to be disciplined, ambitious, practical, and patient. However, I think she could be an Aquarius: friendly, detached ("manic depressive chick" rofl), headstrong, and independent. She does get pretty emotional under pressure, which leads me to believe she might have a Cancer moon, since she just shuts down when things become "too much", until somebody breaks her down and gets her to open up...total Cancer thing. I like to think her rising sign is probably Aries. A rising sign, or Ascendant, is how a person presents their self to the world, or how people see them on the outside. Buffy's always appeared, to me anyway, to be very brave, a daredevil of course, witty, confident, and impulsive, except for when she's around her close friends or family.

I like to think about these things, lol, so I'm glad someone finally made a thread about it!

Hi maverickmadge, welcome to the cool Aquarius Moon club (like me) and I see that xmadxscientistx also has Aquarius Moon....

Needs freedom and independence, friendly yet detached, sociable yet sometimes aloof, genuinely cares about other people yet knows how to maintain the emotional boundaries, rarely loses perspective, genuinely believes all people are equal, has lots of friends from all different walks of life, able to have relationships/friendships across any age, culture, gender, race lines.
Cares more about the common person than about 'important' people and celebrities. Hates others to feel left out and goes to great lengths to ensure everyone is included. Sometiimes feels left out themselves, or 'different' from others.
Give their kids space to be themselves, need their own space and need to express themselves emotionally in an authentic, honest way. Hates jealousy, posessiveness and obsessiveness and feel incrediby stifled if others behave that way towards them.
Cares about environmental issues and humanitarian issues. Are generally 'cool' types and often eccentric and maybe a bit odd. May have strange or unconventional hobbies. Need spacious, light homes.
