Think this deserved its own thread. FOX has decided not to air Dollhouse during November sweeps, replacing their Friday nights with repeats of House and Bones instead. Dollhouse will be back December 4, 11, and 18, airing two new episodes back-to-back for those three Fridays. Source: The Futon CriticSucks that we'll be going over a month without Dollhouse after this Friday, but two new episodes in a row will be cool when it comes back. Seems like hope for any more after the 13 is hopeless.

Oh man, Fox really just doesn't like Dollhouse. I really want this show to work!!! It makes me so sad.

He always sounds so chipper when responding to bad news. Shout out to the WhyIWatch guy Perhaps he thinks he can make a Dollhouse comeback in December? He'll be "leaning on" FOX to "get the word out" (i.e., advertisement??? shock!) for the 'house... perhaps we could see a late break in the game and a 3rd season if we're lucky.

Hate to be a pessimist, but pretty sure Dollhouse is a done deal when they plan on airing the last remaining episodes back to back in like three days.
"Dollhouse will return in December, and will actually air back-to-back episodes on three consecutive Fridays, starting on Friday, December 4th - airing brand new episodes at both 8:00 and 9:00pm ET/PT. " from IGN.
Sorry, but it's exactly like Arrested Devlopment, except at least they made it so Dollhouse isn't opposite the freaking Olympics.

Wonder if Joss will do biz with FOX again. *Fingers crossed*

December will take us through episode 10. I assume the final 3 episodes will be shown in January or February. (There's no February sweeps next year, but there are the Winter Olympics.) The real pain in the ass is that we'll see part one of a two-parter tomorrow night, then have to wait six weeks for part two.

Tomorrow night's ep is "Belonging", the Sierra-centric, kinda origins tale ep.

Better start wheelin and dealin with the CW to pick Dollhouse up since they will most likely be dropping 2, maybe even 3, "hour long" shows by January. Throw Dollhouse and Vampire Diaries on the same night? Should make for the best rated night they have had in a long time.

FOX, you cannot keep doing this to Dollhouse and expect more viewers! WTH?!?! If FOX had a face, I'd punch it Seriously, what are these guys on?

Two good things came out of this, though.
The first: Brothers is permanently moving to Sundays. Good. Let it be not funny elsewhere. The second: 'Till Death is off the air for an undetermined period of time. Good. I hope it disappears into the void forever.
We're rid of the terrible lead-ins, I think that's a good sign.

Aren't we getting 2 episodes before the month break? After today we still have one more Friday for this month. Plus the promo for Belonging said the week after Summer would be guest starring.

No, Fox changed it. Tonight is the last episode until December. I'm kind of glad they did, so we don't have to wait a month to get the conclusion of the two-parter.

Who knows - if they cleaned out that lead-in hour maybe they want to put Dollhouse on 8/7c after the winter break! (OK, I'm stretching a little bit. But hey, POSITIVE!)

It is going to be on at 8 (and 9) during December. For a show that starts at 8, lead-in is pretty irrelevant.
The good thing about this is that the show's audience is more likely to be home at 8 on Friday as opposed to 9, so the show is more likely to catch their eye... people might be willing to watch at least the first episode before going out to party (as beer commercials assure us we all do on Friday nights.)
The bad thing is that if people aren't willing to devote one hour of their Friday evening to Dollhouse, they're certainly not going to be willing to spring for 2 hours.

They pushed back episode 6 too?! Wtf, seriously. I wouldn't mind waiting a month to see part two, actually. It's very dumb to air a promo for something, and then change it... Why are they doing this exactly?
