Just reviewing Triangle on Buffytube as part of our rewatch.
Ok, if you were Xander and you had to choose between Willow and Anya who would you pick?
Willow, lifelong friend and soulmate?
Anya, first romantic love and first sexual partner who didn't later try to strangle you?
Of course you could always just have an open relationship where you share both?

Oh wow, that's a tough one. I don't think I'd be able to choose!
But probably Willow. I mean, she and Xander have know each other a lot longer and they are the best of friends. On the other hand, I really love Anya too so I dunno. Gah!

Depends. By "choose" are you talking about the choice Olaf offers, where one of them lives and the other dies? In that case, the answer Xander gave was the only right one -- refuse to accept the choice and try to get the crazy troll to kill you instead.
Or do you mean romantically? That choice would be kind of skewed by the fact that Willow isn't even remotely interested anymore ("Hello -- gay now!"). But if she were interested ... she'd be hard to resist.

i think it should be a open marriage, Xander/Willow/Tara/Anya. They could become mormons and I'm sure Tara could come to appreciate the timber

No but seriously, Willow had strong romantic feelings for Xander for the majority of her life. I don't see why, lesbian or not, that could never happen again. Especially if sexuality is as fluid as the Buffyverse implies. |
