I was always touched by the ending of 'I Was Made to Love You', when April dies. I know she's a robot, and all her feelings don't actually exist, but it was so sad. I mean, all she was programmed to do was meet Warren's every wish, but he still didn't want her. That kind of rejection must feel awful, even for a robot.

That's why I was touched when the Buffy bot dies. Especially when Dawn has to see it all over it again. It's not as hard for me when Buffy dies (sob like a baby everytime) but it still hurts nonetheless. Alright I enjoy Season 5 Ep. Intervention for a number of priceless reasons. The Scoobies all think Buffy is sleeping with Spike, Buffybot's quotes to the Scoobies, Giles' dance out in the desert when Buffy has to speak to the first slayer, and when they first discover Spike/Buffybot having sex in the cemetery. There's quite a few! Lets not forget how Buffybot pronounces Giles' name. I die laughing everytime. One of my all time favorites is this fantastic scene right here: Buffy: If Spike did give us up, Dawn and I need to get out of town. I mean, Glory could be on her way now. Giles: But, uh, not to worry, you know, I'm sure we'll all be perfectly safe. Dawn:-skeptical- We're safe. Right. And, uh, Spike built a robot Buffy to play checkers with. -Buffy stares at Tara, frowning.-Tara: sheepish I-it sounded convincing when I thought it. Awh. I love Tara. &hearts

In Prophecy Giri, there is this exchange between Xander and Willow. Xander is throwing a tennisball against the wall and catching it, trying to come to terms with Buffy refusing to go to the spring dance with him. He then asks Willow. Willows says "no", delivering the following line: Xander: (exhales) Willow, come on!
Willow: You think I wanna go to the dance with you and watch you wish you were at the dance with her? You think that's my idea of hijinks? You should know better.
Just try saying this:"You think I wanna go to the dance with you and watch you wish you were at the dance with her?" Alyson not only does so fluently, but also in a way that simply breaks your heart. This is perfect, must be one of my favourite scenes ever. And till today I hadn't even realized it. I guess you really have to watch every episode 4 times and more!

^^^^ I agree, Glory kick ass. I like how Spike give Buffy courage and strength to confront Caleb, she was like doing matrix moves to avoid him until she could discover the scythe.Brilliant and actioned packed.

While it is bittersweet, it would have been far more sad to watch Willow agree to go with him. And given the way Xander had been treating her lately -- the scene at the beginning of the episode, where he makes her listen as he rehearses asking Buffy out, is a monument to insensitivity -- her "You should know better" is a much-needed smackdown, delivered in that gentle way that Willow (or maybe it's Aly) does so well.

Ok. Hi everybody. De-lurking a bit 'cause I love this thread so much! Here's some of my favourites: The Pack:The pack looks at Buffy briefly, then focuses on Lance. He falls to the floor and cowers as they each throw their ball at him hard. Buffy runs over and helps Lance up. She stares at Xander. He stares back. She watches as he and the others leave. Coach Harrold: God, this game is brutal. I love it! Faith, Hope and Trick:Willow: (notices a boy) Ooo, Scott Hope at eleven o'clock. (Buffy looks) (to Buffy) He likes you. He wanted to ask you out last year, but you weren't ready then. But I think you're ready now, or at least in the state of pre-readiness to make conversation, or-or to do that thing with your mouth that boys like. Buffy snaps her head around at Willow and gives her a shocked look. ;D When She Was Bad:Buffy: Xander? Did I ever thank you... for saving my life? Xander: No. Buffy: Don't you wish I would? Gingerbread:Buffy: My mom said some things to me about being the Slayer. That it's fruitless. No fruit for Buffy. Angel: She's wrong. Buffy: Is she? Is Sunnydale any better than when I first came here? Okay, so I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck. Angel: Dike. It's another word for dam. Buffy: Oh. Okay, that story makes a lot more sense now. The Freshman:Xander: You up for a little reconnaissance? Buffy: You mean where we all paint and sculpt and stuff like that? Xander: No, that was the renaissance. I just love it when Buffy is being a complete dope. It makes it so much cooler when she's doing this:

Absolutely. It would have been a complete letdown if Willow had agreed to go to the dance with him. I watched her and thought: no, no, no, don't! And I was so glad she refused. The scene is tribute to the complexity of the characters - and to Xanders insensitivity. I am angry at him for that but I am glad that all the characters are shown as imperfect in an all too humane way. (Sorry for babbling.)

Xander: Hey, Cordy! Nice outfit. Cordelia: (stops to look at him) Oh, very funny. Xander: Not really. Cordelia: What are you saying? Xander: Nice outfit? Cordelia: Well, why don't you just keep your mouth shut! (walks off)
lollolol. I love Cordy.

Being a Spuffy shipper I like the Spuffy moments, however I find I take a lot of pleasure in some of their smaller moments. I really like Checkpoint when Buffy asks Spike to watch Dawn and her Mother, I like that he's playful with her and takes care of them for her and Buffy is actually a little softer than usual with him.
I also like when he comforts her in Blood Ties when they're looking for Dawn. I like small sweet moments like that.

Definitely Buffy's expression after she sends Angel to hell in S2. It's like it didn't even hit her that she was killing Angel until he was gone When she is leaving on the bus I always cry. Spike's "Someone's in the ceiling" in School Hard is so funny! I like Spike the best in S2 and S4 And you cant forget Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered! That episode is hilarious! Especially when Dru stops Angel from doing anything to hurt Xander because she is under the love spell! I have so much more appreciation for season two ever since I watched it for the second time; I always thought that S3 was better, but there are SO many good episodes in S2. Seriously.

Everyone's mentioned a lot of great scenes, both funny and sad.
One of my favourite scenes is Xander and Cordy's little bit of closure in The Prom.
Xander: Wesley, Cordelia! My God in Heaven it's good to see you! How are you both? And details please! Wesley: Fine, Xander, thankyou. Cordy: (meaningfully) Yes, thankyou. Xander: (looking at her affectionately) It looks good on you. Cordy: Well, duh!
I think it's such a beautiful, understated and graceful moment between the two of them.
I also love Buffy and Spike's exchange at Xander and Anya not-a-wedding (which is kind of surprising, given that I don't like Spuffy), where Buffy lets Spike know that she is jealous that he brought a date. Again, another graceful and understated moment.

One of my favorite scenes occurs between Willow and Giles in the premiere episode of season 7, Lessons. Willow and Giles are outside having a conversation. WILLOW When you brought me here, I thought it was to kill me or to lock me in some mystical dungeon for all eternity or—with the torture. Instead, you go all Dumbledore on me. I'm learning about magic. All about energy and Gaia and root systems. GILES Do you want to be punished? WILLOW I wanna be Willow. GILES You are. In the end, we all are who we are, no matter how much we may appear to have changed.Probably one of the more subtle scenes that tend to go by the wayside, but I really like it. And that quote from Giles is one of my favorites.

I never really thought about that scene Buffyfan21 but now that I think of it, it is really good.
I really like Xander's speech to Anya at the end of Into The Woods, people probably talk about it occationally but I find it's not mentioned often and I thought it was absolutely beautiful and really made me believe in them more.
I also really like the moment between Spike and Dawn in Tough Love when she's sad and he goes to touch her head to comfort her but she looks at him before he can and he pulls away. It's adorably funny and just a really sweet moment that he wanted to comfort her.

It's adorably funny and just a really sweet moment that he wanted to comfort her. Yes, I agree those are two great moments. I love Xander's speech to Anya in "Into the Woods" (makes it all the more heartbreaking in retrospect that they didn't last) and I adore the relationship between Dawn and Spike. He has always been like a big brother to her, protecting her, etc. And speaking of speeches, Spike's speech to Buffy in Touched is a great one. You listen to me. I’ve been alive a bit longer than you and dead a lot longer than that. I’ve seen things you couldn’t imagine and done things I’d prefer you didn’t. I don’t exactly have a reputation for being a thinker. I follow my blood which doesn’t exactly rush in the direction of my brain so I make a lot of mistakes. A lot of wrong bloody calls. A hundred plus years and there’s only one thing I’ve ever been sure of. You.Hey, look at me. I’m not asking you for anything. When I say I love you, it’s not because I want you, or because I can’t have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I’ve seen your kindness and your strength. I’ve seen the best and the worst of you and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You are a hell of a woman. You’re the one, Buffy. I have always loved this scene. I think it speaks a lot to the kind of person Buffy is that she would take the time to sit with a robot and comfort her as she "dies." To warren she was nothing but a toy, a play thing; Buffy wanted to make sure that April went out being treated with dignity and respect, and knowing that someone cared for her. And this is why we love Buffy so much.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I have always loved the exchange between Buffy and Xander at the very end of "I Was Made To Love You", Before she finds Joyce :
XANDER: See, you construct the wood jamb and frame the glass into it, and that's what you set into the opening.
BUFFY: Yeah?
XANDER: One of the cool things about that, you see is, uh, the jamb can be shimmed to be square, even if the opening isn't.
BUFFY: Shimmed? Is that even a real word? Do you have any idea what you're talking about?
XANDER: Yeah, I do. Scary, isn't it? I think I've actually turned into someone you want around after a crazed robot attack.
BUFFY: And if you ever start your own business, you have your slogan right there. (pauses, looks thoughtful) And she wasn't crazed.
XANDER: (skeptical) Yeah?
BUFFY: She devoted everything to making this one person happy. And then it was like, with him gone, there was just ... no reason for her to exist any more.
XANDER: Robots are the strangest people.
BUFFY: No ... people are the strangest people. I mean, look at me obsessing about being with someone. It's like ... I don't need a guy right now. I need me. I need to get comfortable being alone with Buffy.
XANDER: Well, I'll say this, she's a pretty cool person to be alone with.
BUFFY: (smiles) Thank you.
I personally think this could be the best Buffy/Xander moment in the whole show!

I like when Cordelia confronts Harmony about being herself and following her inner feelings not following the rules of harmony but confront being herself.
CORDELIA Harmony, shut up.
CORDELIA You know what you are, Harmony? You're a sheep.
HARMONY I'm not a sheep.
CORDELIA You're a sheep. Sweaters are made from your wooly coat.
CORDELIA All you ever do is what everyone else does, so you can say you did it first. And here I am scrambling for your approval, when I'm way cooler than you are because I'm not a sheep! I do what I want, I wear what I want, and you know what? I'll date whoever I want to date, no matter how lame he is!
