Questions and observations;
According to Dawn Joyce used to say 'Wash your neck or plant potatoes'. Not sure if it's deliberate but Kristine Sutherland is from Idaho 'The Potato State' so maybe this is something she really did say?
Spike claims to have clawed his way out of a coffin but we see no evidence of this in 'Fool for Love' or 'Lies my parents told me'.

I disagree here. After "Bargaining", I think that this episode gave me a little more faith in the series. For one thing: it's freakin' terrifying! The scene at the foot of Willow & Tara's bed is too much for me to take, not to mention Anya cutting her face up later (which also leads to one of the funniest moments of the ep later, when Anya is amused by how scared Xander was - "He's all traumatised").
The treatment of Buffy by the different members of the gang is very telling of their moods at the moment. Dawn and Spike are very sensitive to her needs, while the rest of the gang are too busy trying to alleviate their own doubt and guilt to pay attention to her.
Interesting point about Spike and a coffin - it seems pretty unlikely from what we've seen that Spike would need to go in the ground. However, we learn in Angel S2 that Drusilla likes the tradition of rising from the grave, so even if it's unnecessary , she may want Spike to rise that way.

Anya cutting herself Evil Dead style is truly scary, thankfully her wounds are mystical and heal completely

This episode was just so sad. I have to agree the Anya cutting herself was scary. The look on Buffy face just staring seemingly right through Spike in his crypt is so sad. Poor Buffy. 7/10

[Tea - Total]

The Good; Spikes ANGRY confrotation with xander. Buffy wacthing as the faces of her friends on photographs become decated skeletal corpses, the shocking moment when Anya is taken over by the demon.Dawns anguish that the other are considerinng undoing the spell abd sending Buffy back.


8/10 i like this ep.
