The fade to black scene every single time I watch it in this episode still ticks me off. In the commentary Joss said that us as the fans can decide how Buffy and Spike spent their last night together, but honestly I'm still bitter. I don't even know what to think about what really happened between them that night. I just wished I had Joss's vision on what happen. What did everybody else think about it?

Yeah, In a way it kind of bothers me too. I would have liked to have seen what happened between them on screen. On the other hand, I kind of like that Joss left it up to the imagination of the viewer (such a Joss thing to do ). But I can definitely see how it would be annoying as well not having that definitive answer.

It really is such a Joss thing and I love him for that. I think the only reason it bothers me is cause I seriously can't come up with anything in my head on how they spent their last night. There are things I probably wish, but it never seems to fit with how things were at the time. I thought I read a fanfic on it once, but I can't even remember that.

I hope they cuddled again. Maybe talked. Not that I would blame them, getting rid of tension and having sex before a dangerous battle, but it would cheapen it a bit for me. I never liked the sexual side of their relationship. It was mainly about taking and using (Buffy used Spike to feel better, and even tough Spike loved Buffy he did sleep with her when she was depressed and vulnerable).
So I kinda don't want them to have had desperate sex on that night. Sure, they might be making love, eye-contact, cuddling afterwards, but could it still be all about them or would it just be another way to use each other because of the up coming fight?
In case they're going to use each other for comfort, I'd prefer cuddling. But hey, it's Spike and Buffy we're talking about here. I wouldn't be surprised if they did it. A lot.

This is what Chabon talks about in his essay on Fanfiction (pick up his essay collection Maps & Legends - he's an amazing writer all-around and this essay in particular fundamentally changed my view on fanfiction as a whole). He uses Sherlock Holmes's multiple continuity errors (for instance, Watson's marital status) as an example of something that fanfiction can contribute to a universe. Same principle can easily be applied here. I think it was a master stroke to do the fade-to-black; it really DOES become your decision. I'm willing to bet the first outburst of new fanfics from the aftermath of "Chosen" was about that FTB moment. That's what it's there for.

I'm leaning more towards passionate end-of-the-world sex. I mean, why not?

For me even if it was a end of the world type thing I don't think they would have necessarily been using each other. It just would have been nice as far as love making goes for Spike to want Buffy and for Buffy to actually want Spike back.

That's true, but I would want to make sure that if they ever had sex, there would be no doubt in their (or the fans') mind that they did it because they were ready to, not because "We'd better do it now or never, because soon the world might end!".
I would want it to be pure and true. I'm not asking for candle lights and a fire place, I just... well, I'm repeating myself soon.

I think that fic Emmie wrote, "His girls" and the sequel got to me more than I thought. Okay, a part of me wants to vomit thinking of commitment, but I figure that's my youth talking, but another part wants to see a both Spike and Buffy happy and snuggly, whether it be with each other or someone else.
Okay, I'd settle for any relationship in the Buffyverse being snuggly and cuddly and happy. The closest we got now is Willow & Kennedy and that relationship could end very soon.

I liked the fade to black, however I never really noticed the gap until I watched the Joss commentary. It never struck me as something I needed to know.

You know, I always imagined that they cuddled. I mean her shirt was still on!
Anyways, since it's up to my imagination, I think they cuddled. This is right after the "cookie" speech, which really is an anti-commitment-for-now speech *cough*sky*cough*. Why would she ruin it by leading Spike on, if they were to live to see the next sunset? Then again, we now have Satsu, showing Buffy's view on non-committal sex again. *sigh* I'd really rather think they cuddled and comforted each other and didn't spoil their platonic love thing they'd been having all season.

Oh they are! Just not new ones lol. Here's a thread on Buffy returning to TV, and I believe TNT plays Angel every morning.

I mean her shirt was still on! Bec, half the time they all have sex with half their clothes still on *going lalala* .... Wait, was her her ruffled? Or any part of their clothing? Okay, Sarah always has perfect hair (unless it's a plot thing) but it could be a clue.

Or maybe they had sex, got dressed afterwards, then fell asleep in each other arms. Now there's a possibility

It would actually make it a lot more meaningful if they didn't sleep together. When they were having sex, their relationship was awful. Just terrible. Buffy used him and Spike treat her like crap. Plus after the whole 'Seeing Red' thing, I don't think it would have been anything sexual so soon.
