The Hellmouth Podcast needs your help!

We are finishing up our complete review of BTVS Season 1. For the Season 1 recap episode, I am going to give out the Dust-ies awards. A spin on the Dundies for you fans of "The Office".

Anyway, I am looking for serious and not-so-serious nominations. For example best dramatic performance in season 1 (provide scene and episode). OR Worst death scene given by a vampire.

Dusties sound like a fun idea. For best dramatic performance in season 1 I nominate Buffy in Prophecy Girl, the scene where she and Giles have their confrontation in the library, particularly when she says, "Giles, I'm sixteen years old, I don't wanna die." And then she proceeds to throw her necklace down on the ground as she exists the library. This scene between the two of them gets me every time. So sad to see two people who have come to care so much for each other be at odds with one another. Definitely big drama! I would argue that this is the most dramatic episode/scene of season 1 as a whole. And Sarah's performance is just amazing!

Gotta be a worst and best villain award - seems to be a few really competing for that first spot. Funniest and cheesiest one-liner could feature.

Worst Vamp Death:

Gotta go with Jesse on this one (if you look closely it looks more like Xander stakes him in the stomach rather than the heart. Xander is holding the stake too low for it to be at Jesse's heart. Joss even makes note of this on the commentary).

Best Villain Season 1:

The Master (AKA, fruit punch mouth. lol).

Worst Villain Season 1:

Andrew Borba (mantis -lady may have been cheesy, but this guy was the worst!).

Best 1-liner:

Buffy: “Clark Kent has a job, I just want to go on a date" - NKABOTFD (perfectly sums up Buffy's desires to balance slaying with a normal life).

Favorite one-hit-wonder character:

Dr. Gregory (Biology Teacher) - Teacher's Pet (loved him. And he was so nice to Buffy).
