Got my copy today. Good story, if a bit goofy (but that was the point anyway so no harm done). I really like the hintings of Spike's character in this arc - gets me all giddy for the Spike series. Good job Brian - can't wait for Spike Begins!

What fun this issue was. Seeing deeper into Spike's perception of Angel was really fun. It was interesting to see how he has mixed feeling about Angel, and while some of his negative feeling about Angel shined through it really seems that deep down Spike respects and admires Angel.
Some of my favorite moments: Angel and Spike overall Kung Fu Jeremy Groo taking the hoverboard from Back to the Future II

This was another really enjoyable issue (what's that, 5 in a row now?). All of the interactions with the various costumed convention attendees were probably the highlight for me, as was seeing first hand what Spike's exaggerated perception of Angel is. Jeremy and Groo continued to be great sidekicks, and Groo's bit at the end while he faced the Bounty Hunter demons was hysterical.
I was actually surprised that Angel and "Spangel" (that killed me), didn't interact too much in this issue overall. Angel went off with Jeremy, while Spike went with Groo. Their interaction was great though, and the separation allowed Angel to learn more about Spike when he isn't putting on his usual show.
I also liked how this issue set up some possible future stories in SPIKE, such as finding out who wanted to kill him and then Jeremy's wedding (which we already knew would be covered).
Angel's solution was pretty clever and it was great to see Mooney's poster for Last Angel In Hell there at the end. I'm really looking forward to that.
Overall I really enjoyed this two parter. It was hilarious from start to finish, provided us with some great Angel and Spike interaction, and allowed Groo and Jeremy to have more time in the spotlight.
Oh and Mooney's cover was a must buy for me. It just looks stunning! Brilliant likenesses and the bold red just makes the entire thing look like a work of art. Great day for good Buffyverse covers.

Thanks for the kind words, you guys. It made me really happy to go out on a story that gets such a positive reaction.

What a great issue....such fun. It was great to have two comic issues, that continued the tradition of having lots of undertone to it as well as the laughs. Lots of good setup for the Spike series, and a nice bonding story for the two lads - even though in this issue they werent together very much. Of course from a personal thing I am looking forward to Angel appearing on the Spike series, I am glad we will have more Lynch issues, even if its not on the Angel title.

I really wish to see this on screen. Maybe some of the attendants at the Paley reunion will mention these comics to Joss and David at their Angel Panel. When will be out the TPB? Say what? Have you heard that there will be an Angel Reunion at Paley Fest 2010?

There isn't going to be any new Buffyverse panels at Paley this year, they will just be talking with "informed fans" about the recent vampire craze, along with screening past Buffy and Angel panels.

Just came out in NY yesterday! I thought it was great. Cool character moments, fun action, and some laughs. All in all, a cool two-parter from the Lynch/Mooney team.

Got it today. Very good. Quite enjoyable actually, with some great lines and small cameos. I can't wait for the new series of Angel and Spike *bounces around with glee*

Very funny issue. Spike's lines when he thinks when he thinks he's Angel are made of win.

It was hilarious! I loved that they brought Groo back, he and Jeremy are both really great characters and they balanced the humour just right so that it didn't cloud the more serious underlying messages.
Can't wait to see Jeremy's wedding covered in SPIKE :-) that'll be such an enjoyable issue!

Unused cover: Just FYI, Mooney says on his blog that that was never meant to be a cover, and he's not sure how the red converted into blue. Someone said on his blog that it might have been covnverted when it was sent or something.
