Willow would never go there with Buffy where iseverybody getting these assumptions from. Joss has staed that this was a one time thing that just happened as things sometimes do

Buffy's not gay. Joss said it himself. I think she just felt lonely and Satsu loves her, so it was like "ok, well, she loves me.. so why not?" if you know what I mean. I don't think their relationship will become anything more, and as for Buffy and Willow.... no way. Willow's with Kennedy.

There's no way that anything will happen with buffy and willow, but it will make even kennedy more insecure about bufy and willow's friendship, which should lead to some interesting conversations.
This arc is going to be very cool, because now that buffy and satsu have been discovered, there's going to be lots of funny moments and awkwardness between the scoobies when they get to Japan..

I can't understand why so many people are asking why didn't Buffy sleep with Willow. Just because someone is gay or lesbian doesn't mean they are promiscuous and would sleep with their friends just because they can. Especially when they are in commited relationships. It's the same as saying "Why didn't Buffy sleep with Xander when he was with Anya?" I also don't know why people expect Willow to be resentful/jealous/offended. I think and hope that Willow is supportive of Buffy. I could never imagine Willow trying to get with Buffy now that she knows Buffy could be that way inclined. Willow has never hinted at the fact that she's attracted to Buffy, even after she came out. Willow was always the level headed voice of reason within the Scoobies. Well except season six and that was the entire point of the season, she lost herself in addiction. From Willow's initial reaction she seems to not understand why Buffy would do it. I think that will be the road this part of the story takes for Buffy and Willow. Willow may think Buffy is taking advantage of her position in their situation, but I really doubt she will be jealous or resentful.
Other than that, this was a great issue. I actually think this will be the best arc so far. I'm a big Drew Goddard fan and I can already tell he is going to impress. On the art side I'm becoming increasingly impressed by Georges art. His Dracula is perfect. The only critique I had was he still draws Buffy kind of ugly sometimes, which is unfortunate. Can't wait for issue 13! And I'm still rooting for a return of Oz!

This event is causing so much discussion...it's great!Just a thought I know, Joss did say before the issue came out that we would all be talking about it for a long time. Iy's just funny when I watch season 7 and Dawn says "What re we going to do now"?....And I'm thinking you'll be a giant Willow will get kidnaped and have the power to fly, Buffy will sleep with a female slayer and she and Giles will fall out......again.

I felt the same thing when I watched Chosen today. Kinda bummed me out...kinda made me feel the "happy" ending isn't so much anymore. Furthermore, I'm mostly sad about the Buffy/Faith relationship...or lack thereof. Just finishing the last 6 episodes of Season 7, we see Faith & Buffy have come to find some common ground. And when we get to Season 8 that is gone again. Very disappointing to me!! In some ways I wanna just slap Buffy and tell her to "get over it". She keeps feeling alone and sorry for herself, but she's not alone.

She keeps feeling alone and sorry for herself, but she's not alone. I know but I think Joss had to ignore a few things that were done in S7 so that he could continue the story. If Faith and Buffy were always friends that would be boring. In Chosen Buffy shared her powera dn was mmenat to feel connected to everybody through her gifyt she had given everyone, Willow even said she could feel it, but hen in S8 it got brough back and needed a plot, hey have kind of went back to S6 Buffy-being alone and isolated away from her friends, I can guarnee to hat by Issue 35 they are all best friends again. I am 80% sure that the bif Joss new in July is a Faith and Giles spin off comic. The ending o issue 9 set that up completely....the other 20% of me is hoping for some real news on the Ripper TV Movie but I doubt it.

Scott Allie confirmed that Buffy is using Satsu like she used Spike in Season 6, so everyone's reassurances that "it's not going to be a retread of Season 6" are basically moot.
"It was about a year ago that I found out about this," said Allie. "It was like, 'wow', but by then the relationship with Satsu was growing a little bit. So when Joss said that this was going to happen, it was like, 'Yeah, This makes sense.' It makes sense in terms of the kind of patterns Buffy has always been in. She always tries to wash away her loneliness with someone who is available and is really interested, no matter how inappropriate the person might be. And despite what some people are going to say, I think Spike was a much less appropriate partner than Satsu is."
And no, I don't think this "makes sense" for Buffy, as Allie claims. Maybe for Season 6 Buffy, who was recently resurrected, inexperienced in this area (using people who love her), and hooked up with a soulless vampire instead of a young girl (to whom she's an authority figure, even). Not this Buffy:
"What? Using him...? What's okay about that? ...It isn't! It's wrong!" (Dead Things)
"I'm using you. I can't love you. I'm just being weak and selfish. ...And it's killing me." (As You Were)
(S) "Nothing else, not a spark... fine. Flesh, then. Solid through. Get it hard, service the girl." -- (B) "Stop it!" (Beneath You)
"The last guy I was with, it got really... I behaved like a monster, treated him like..." (Conversations with Dead People)

Satsu is technically more appropriate than Season 6 Spike, but that only makes the situation worse. Using a soulless vampire is not so morally reprehensible in the 'verse as using a young girl, who also happens to be your subordinate, and if Buffy felt guilty about the former, she should not have even entertained the thought of the latter. The writers would have us believe she acknowledged and learned from her mistakes in Dead Things, As You Were and Conversations with Dead People (see quotes in the previous page), but apparently not.
People's Parker-Buffy comparisons are turning out to be rather apt right about now:
Parker: Just for one night can't two people who feel an attraction come together and create something wonderful? And then go back to their lives the next day better for it but never overanalyzing it or wanting it to be more than it was? I have. She should too.

Buffy was upfront with Spike here, too --
Buffy: I'm using you. I can't love you. I'm just being weak and selfish. Spike: Really not complaining here.
-- yet I doubt anyone would have applauded her, if she had chosen to continue the affair after that upfront statement. Seems to be the same mistake all over again, and we're not even going to get a serious relationship or epic soul-searching out of it.

Just read this issue and I loved it! It's good to see Buffy fighting vampires again. Nice to see Andrew, maybe with this arc he will get some more panel time. I really liked the Buffy and Satsu hookup! Not only was it a surprise and a good new plot move for Buffy but it was hot and sexy! I must admit that I was not a big fan of Dracula on the show but now the way this arcs story is I think he will be a great addition to the story. Hell, he might even grow on me!

Gotta say i feel this is the worse issue yet! I was just really ticked that Buffy and Satsu hooked up. I feel it was really out of Buffy's character and not true to her. I did like that everyone started coming in and seeing her that was funny but i just didn't like the whole thing that had gone on. I don't agree with it.
However i did like the vampire things stealing the Scythe then Xander and Renee going to see Drac that was nice.
I think this could push a wedge between Buffy and Willow even more now that Buffy did it with another girl and wasn't planing on telling Willow or anything.

'Lesbian chic' hype aside, I really enjoyed this issue. I think playing the encounter as a joke was a bold move, but Goddard got it right. Nice to see Andrew back in the Scoobie fold - particularly when he's making Superman jokes, and saying things like 'Hi, nude Asian girl' - and I hope we get to see more of him in this arc (veering off topic, though, how about we make our characters that are actually ascribed as gay sympathetic - rather than playing male homsexuality for laughs - before our heterosexual heroine starts jumping into bed with underaged girls?).
I like the Gothic Lolita vampires, too. Blue-haired vamp in a hat is my favourite.
I was glad to see they left the 'Antique'-is-canon-whut?! issue ambiguous, too.

I'm glad that the whole gang found out straight away, because it would be frustrating for it to drag on as a secret for issues and issues and would have seemed like a repeat to season 6. Also, it was so funny.

Buffy isnt using Satsu , it was an impulisve moment that led them both in bed , she wouldnt do that to someone whom she cares about nevertheless someone she considers to be her friend .Spike was never buffy's true friend, he was just someone who used to be around alot , just like a friendly parasite.
I dont think that it will cause that much of a strain into B and Will's already much troubled relationship for it was something that has happened only once . To be honest i think that it will have quite an opposite effect, it will cause their relationship to warm up a bit .

Of course Buffy isn't going to sleep with Willow. But I bet the big question coming up in the comic will be WHY she didn't. That's exactly what I meant...lol. And who is to say that Willow NEVER had any sexual interest in Buffy? Being that close, living in a dorm room together when she was questioning her own sexuality, she had to at least think about it, if only briefly, or to wonder why she did or didn't. I agree that I don't think they'd sleep together...but it's an issue of why not...
