I doubt it would happen in canon...but never say never. LOL. There could be major foreshadowing with Xander's season 1 line "well, willow's not looking to date you. or if she is, she's playing it pretty close to the chest."
I have complete faith in Joss (maybe too much...lol) but a girl can dream...
This is just a peg that will open up another can of worms in their friendship. Things will be said, Buffy may even explain why she initially panicked when Willow told her, and we all know this will be discussed between them in season 8 (the Buffy/Satsu thing). I don't doubt that they've (both now) thought about the other naked...but they don't like have to make a deal out of it. I think Willow will be more hurt that she just burst into the scene (of after lesbian sex) unaware that Buffy was even harboring those ideas, ideas that she frequents and would assume Buffy would trust her with at least. Remember when Willow was afraid that Tara thought SHE was just experimenting (see 'Tough Love')? But with Buffy...it really is just experimentation, or not so much experimentation as emotional/physical connection to ANYthing at that point. Buffy started out with the "one-night stand" physical relationships, with people she believed would be more longer lasting (which goes back to Angel(us) and Parker). She didn't exactly have a good starting point sexually, and that tends to scar a person emotionally, whether they admit it or not. After those two experiences, she fell into Riley (who she thought she loved but did she really), and then into a twisted sexual relationship with Spike (which later turned into admiration, though did she really love him)? It's logical that she would fall into bed with Satsu, even if she is a woman. It is a Buffy pattern sexually...keeping HER emotions out of it, and not thinking completely about what happens with the other person involved. Satsu is going to get hurt. As much as we probably don't want her to, it's true...and I think she knows that already...but she just couldn't resist the hottness that is Buffy. I'd like to see how the entire tryst was initiated...that's what has me curious, especially because of #11 and the whole conversation in the cemetary.
I even want to see how Buffy handles the other slayers knowing, Twilight knowing (especially if it turns out to be Riley or somebody in Buffy's past), and even the reactions of Faith, Giles, and the conversation with Xander (as they converse a lot).

It's depressing how big of a deal people are making out of this... :/ Amen brother. Can we have a little more of what this means to the story now? - rather than if it's good writing or not. All this talk of Season Eight being a sell-out is getting me down. Can we appreciate for a minute that we even have a season 8? Just a thought.

The whole reason for this thread is so we can talk about the issue and our issues with it. It doesn't mean we don't appreciate there is a season 8 and it doesn't mean we have to like everything about it.

i must say that after reading a few pages, can you actually say that buffy was happy with her decison? maybe it was a dream? look at the expression on her face up above.... not one sense of a smile! by the looks of things i think this may have been a BIG one off.... im wondering now what Joss has planned?!

In my alternate universe dream world, Xander and Dracula get to be "open minded" too.
My biggest regret with this is that it isn't Faith. Not my OTP, but it'd seem more in character for Buffy to me.
I hope Willow and Buffy can find more common ground over this instead of using it as another thing to fight over.
I may have to write some fanfic about Tara and Anya's reactions to this.
BTW, if you don't hear much from me, it's because my internet only works in short spurts right now.

On a totally different tangent - " big question marks above my head" - did anyone notice that the issue starts off with Xander saying to Renee that what he sees may be wolves -or panthers....or given that he has no depth-perception that what he is looking at could be bees. Yes, she confirms wolves, but then when they get inside the castle we find that there are wolves...and panthers... and Dawn reports bees! Isn't that a little odd? Everything Xander mentioned turns out to be seen?

Or he saw all 3 of them through the binoculars?

Does only having one eye make binoculars monoculars? Maybe there's something to this "one who sees" thing.

I just read the issue today and I absolutely loved it. I think it's one of the best issues so far. I have no problem what so ever with Buffy and Satsu hooking up and I believe it isn't out of character for Buffy because she's kinda impulsive with sexual hookups e.g. Spike. I love that she's experimenting and I believe you are never to old to do so. I also agree with almost all of the things that Mikey said about Buffy's possible 10% bi-sexual orientation, I don't think she is using Satsu because if she was she would have just let her walk out and not told her to stay till morning. I don't think it would turn into a romantic relationship but maybe a close friendship. Anyways I can't wait to see what more Willow thinks of the situation.

I read the issue yesterday. I love how something sort of serious just happened, but it was done extremely humourously. I just could not stop laughing while reading this issue. Everybody catching Buffy and anything involving Andrew was just hilarious.
I hope the stuff with Dracula plays out ok. I hated the whole "not-really-dead" thing from the show.

Well Xander did say something about it being a dream nd he was going to site in the corner and wait for Willow then Willow came falling through the floor and all.... Does only having one eye make binoculars monoculars? Maybe there's something to this "one who sees" thing. In order to have depth perception, you need to have binocular vision and both eyes must be functioning. if you only have one eye working - or you have monocular vision (my husband does), then you do not see the same. People in this situation cannot see "3-D" - for example depending on which eye my husband uses (yes he can switch dominants) he would see eith only green or red if wearing 3D glasses so he doesn't see the stuff shooting out of the movie screen. The same would apply to Xander. Xander will learn to compennsate over time using other visual cues (which is why my husband can drive - otherwise he would not know when to brake) - he relies on his knowledge of perspective to help him. Now, with respect to Xander and the wolves, panthers and bees - Renee confirmed it was wolves. Xander would not be able to tell how far away or how big the creatures were with only the one eye. He was probably joiking though as he would use his knowledge of the location of the trees and hills and other landmarks to help him determine the distance and size of the creatures. What I found interesting is that after "saying" it could be wolves, panthers or bees - that is exactly what eventually turned up. I think the whole Buffy / Satsu thing is a smokescreen to get everyone worked up and missing out on what may actually be going on. Let's have more discussion about what else is going on in the issue than only focusing on the bedroom scene. (cluck, cluck)

I just thought it all came together so well and subtle like, which just goes to show how great Drew Goddard is.

the whole point of gettin dracula involved is that he has the power to turn into all these things read antique read antique read antique to fully understand this arc read antique and you will see that dracula turns into wolves, panthers, bees, fog, and can probably turn into anything else, i think this is whats going on, i dont think it has anything to do with xander
