I am really interested in how Oz's return will be handled (whenever it DOES occur). It has been quite a while since Buffy Inc. has seen him (around 5 years in the Buffyverse), so I wonder what he has been up to and what will be the cause of his reappearance? I'd like to see him stick around, only because Xander was basically the only male Scoobie from Season 6 on (Giles kept coming and going, Spike was all over the place, and Andrew wasn't really a Scoobie until Season 8), and I thought they had a really hilarious relationship. I'd imagine there would be some intense Willow/Oz conversations as well.

Funny preview, I'd read Antique (when it was posted) but had forgotten about Dracula's appearance change at the end... Clearly this is set a few months after Antique which gives us a bit of perspective as apparently Xander was with Dracula quite some time in Antique, so that lends more to the "it's been a bit longer then a year since Season Seven" theory.
I like comic book Dracula, he's much more interesting when I don't have to hear the campy accent. And it's cool that we finally have an answer to the "Why doesn't Dracula look as old as other vamps" question... he changes his appearance. Clearly Dracula really cared about Xander, that's pretty adorable....or it's possible he's just preparing to use him all over again.
Also, clearly no Oz in this arc, there's enough going on, I doubt they'd be able to fit him in.
Edited for absolutely horrendous grammar

The timeline isn't explicit. We shall have to wait and see whether Antique comes before WATG or not. EDIT: On second thought, because my inkling is telling me it takes place after WATG, I fear that Xander may disappear from S.8 for a year right after this arc. NOOOOOOO!!! I sincerely hope not.

Antique clearly comes before, Dracula is in the same depressed state that he was in when Buffy took Xander away. His new servant states that he's been like this for months and het gets excited knowing that Xander is approaching, he didn't really have all that much affection for Xander on the series so it'd have to be after Antique's thrall. Also Xander already knows were Dracula lives. If you think Whedon would dump Xander from the series for an entire year just so he can be Dracula's manservant, well...that's just not going to happen.

I sincerely hope not. My only wonderment is the whole motorbike thing. In Antique, it was mentioned that Dracula was appreciative of Xander's teaching him how to ride a motorbike, and we clearly see a picture of Dracula and Xander riding one on Jeanty's variant. I guess I am not quick to label one or the other, I will just wait and see.

we know that oz is definetly coming back? At last years San Diego Comic Con, someone asked Joss if Oz was coming back, and he replied, "The question is not if, the question is when...."

Do you think it's possible for him to be in a later issue of Wolve's at the Gate?

Anything is possible, but Twilight seems rather tall.

Oz will be back, but they'll probably save his appearance for when it actually counts, there's already way too much going on in this arc (and it's only been 1 issue) to throw another significant character into the mix. And just throwing this out here but: Oz as Twilight? Hell no.

To be honest i clearly think that Antique takes place before S8 for the look that Buffy gives Xander in issue 12 and most important Xander's facial expression indiacate that they knew that Dracula could actually help them and lemme tell ya they couldnt have figured htat out by their brief encounter in S5. Moreover they couldnt count on Drac for help if their only interferance was that one time back in Sunnydale.

I was unsure of it's timining but since reading part one and the preview of part two I think "Antique" takes place before "Wolves". It would be good to get some flashbacks before "Antique" took place, like how that exactly happened. How did Xander fall under Dracula's thrall and why did it take Buffy what seems like a lengthy time to rescue him.

I wonder how the gang is going to get to Japan? Will they go on a plane? Willow? One thing I hope they don't do is teleport, that's getting old. But I'm excited!

It will probably have to be magical considering Dawn gets her giant ass over there.

Dawn will take the "U.S.S. I cry All the Time" and get there. Always worked for her before anytime she wanted something.

Which really reminds me when the hell are they going to make Dawn normal sized? I know Whedon thinks it's hilarious and all but it really hasn't caused many chuckles yet and is actually kind of holding Dawn back from actually being a character in the series.
