Ugh, why do they have to have stupid packaging like that? It looks so fiddly just to get to a disk and it'll look out of place on my shelf. All the other stuff is nifty though.

You mean the Complete Series? It's built to be like a puzzle, as you can see in the video Wyndam posted. The regular S6 DVD will look like all the others.

That little epilogue was nice, very happy it was made. I do wonder though, if so many answers could be given in just 12 minutes, why couldn't space be found in season 6?

That little epilogue was nice, very happy it was made. I do wonder though, if so many answers could be given in just 12 minutes, why couldn't space be found in season 6? Because most if not all of those "answers" could have been easily reasoned out by any half-intelligent person watching the show. More importantly, the fact that the thing seems to SCREAM "I was made for people who can't think for themselves" just infuriates me. I'm pretending this never existed.

Meh, call me half intelligent if you will but I liked that the writers made an effort to tie so many of their pointless mysteries together (like Chang's aliases, the hurley bird and Room 23) lol. Plus it was nice to give Walt one last chance for some screen time.
Hurley and Ben are awesome. Almost makes me want a 7th season.

While I feel like they touched on areas that we could already come to more or less natural conclusions about (Dharma food drops, polar bears), I did enjoy it. It was well worth it to give Walt some closure.

The appearance of Walt wasn't even fully utilized.
The big problem I have is that the whole thing just feels fake. Like it was arbitrarily made, without any real heart. It's just the one big checklist of "answers" that "some fans" wanted. Pop in a video and magically everything's okay. It adds nothing to the experience of the show for me. Wasted opportunity.
I'm sorry, but I can't find any good side to this thing. This is the only forum I've been to where anyone has said anything positive about the epilogue - everywhere else, people are disappointed. The mythology viewers are disappointed that none of the answers were new; the character viewers are disappointed because there is no heart behind anything any of the characters are saying.

I liked what I've scene of the epilogue so far even the stuff with Walt even though I don't think it was necessary. I do agree that it was probably stuck in there just cause so many fans were wondering about him. I kind of don't get a lot of the questions that pop up about Michael or Walt just cause you can kind of figure out more or less the rest of their story or why they weren't in the church or whatever. I just read some spoilers on youtube about the rest of the epilogue and I don't think there's going to be too much of a reveal. So I understand why some fans are upset.

I'm starting to miss Lost very much already. It didn't always succeed, but it was the most ambitious show I've ever encountered; with it's epic story, expansive cast of characters, production values and scoring. It really raised the bar in the field I think, and while I don't think season 6 is the strongest it had been, I can't wait to have it on my shelf (stupid uk release schedule)

Wow! How hard is it going to be to look at him in that movie and not see Sawyer? Or hear a nickname?

Pop in a video and magically everything's okay. It adds nothing to the experience of the show for me. Wasted opportunity. This. All the answers were "duh" and im pissed that they bothered answering Hurley bird because I always thought it was one of many things an over analytical audience blew out of proportion. The Hurley/Sawyer scene in Live Together Die Alone was enough: Hurley (the audience): Did that bird just say my name? (oh look, an intriguing new mystery!) Sawyer (the writers): Sure it did. Right after it crapped gold. (You guys are real dumb sometimes)

I'm still pondering exactly what the hell was going on in the Cabin, lol. Wish that mystery was wrapped up. It sticks out like a sore thumb now, as well as Walt's bizarre appearances.

^That was weird, but maybe it's just like the reasn Hurley can talk to dead people. "Their special." Kind of a lame excuse or explaination but whatever.
