Blegh ratings didn't improve: The season finale of Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was unchanged from recent weeks, pulling a 1.3 preliminary rating among adults 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers.Start saying your goodbyes. It would be great if they could do a TV-movie or something like Battlestar always did. Maybe time it with the release of the Terminator Salvation DVD, in order to get more people to buy it? Ugh.

A couple of new things to muse about. The disappearance of Miles Dyson's son. Could he be the one resurrecting Skynet? It was his father's legacy, or would have been, until they shut it down. Why would Cameron hand over her chip to John Henry? So that he would have access to everything she's lived through the last couple of years with the Connors? To what end then? I would call it a final betrayal, except that John Henry is one of the good guys. Or supposed to be. It's interesting how the Turk turned out not to be the precursor to Skynet, but rather a means of fighting it. I guess it kinda makes sense, since it displayed "human" characteristics; i.e. moods. But how crazy was it when John stood before Derek and his father? And that they had never heard of John Connor. Possibly because he just time jumped again, bypassing JD, and therefore never becoming the messiah he was supposed to become. And then seeing Allison... those final minutes were intense. I'm still reeling... At this point, I'll take a continuation in just about any format. This is what makes me mad about the finale. The final 10 minutes was some of the best stuff I've ever seen on television and it left us with something that could make a whole season of epicness, something Season 1 didn't do at all. And with the lack of improvement Wyn just sadly posted, it'll probably never happen on screen. This show needs two more seasons to bring us to April 2011: Judgment Day. But 100% agree that I will take a continuation in any format. It just can't end here. Also 100% agreed here. I really love the first two movies, and there is a hell of a lot of heart in the second one, but you just summed about exactly how I feel about the show. The action is nice and necessary, but the characters, their stories, their interactions and their purpose is what makes this show so beyond special.

Can't we fight this? Can't we do some kind of protest to prevent the cancellation of the show? Yeah, I would take a canon continuation in any format.
Wenxina really pointed out some interesting theories. Such as Weaver being the T-1001 in the sub and the disappearance of Miles Dyson's son.

Not the official word, but according to this, consider T: SCC terminated.

Not surprising, but still very upsetting. Writer Ashley Edward Miller twittered this though:
Time for Ausiello's semi-annual SCC termination report. False again. (Remember "sets were destroyed" report? Now you know context, people).
While it's not much, and still likely FOX will cancel it, I'll wait for something official. I did some deep thinking earlier, and while it might sound like betrayal, I'd choose Terminator to continue over Dollhouse.

Someone did point that out in the comments section on Whedonesque. I will wait for the official word too, but it's none too encouraging right now.

I haven't seen this series at all, even though I love the Terminator series, and while it sounds pretty good, so I'm just wondering if it is worthwhile getting it on DVD?

Yeah, if you're a fan of the franchise and really love Sarah Connor as a character, I think you'd enjoy the show. Just don't expect non-stop action and explosions, there are a hell of a lot of character explorations, which I think is the strength of the show. So if you like deep character development, complicated stories/plots and action, you should give it a try.

Well, it sounds interesting and I see it in the stores, so maybe I will buy S1. Currently don't have S2 on DVD at the stores. Heck, we didn't even have S2 on TV

Bah... I'm double posting, but this little bit of news that covers both Dollhouse and T: SCC was too good to pass up. There are some spoilerish details regarding both shows, more so for T: SCC than Dollhouse. Click here to be directed to the source. EDIT: Click for the original interview from which Brian Austin Green was quoted.

I know it shouldn't be surprising, but every show FOX is renewing or picking up has basically been 100% confirmed, and now Ausiello is saying Terminator is officially cancelled.Click here. Ughhhhhh. A lot of low-rated shows are getting renewed, and it's very annoying that Terminator isn't one of them. This stings badly. Favorite show gone. I guess I'll hold until some hope that NBC will pick it up and air on Sci-Fi, but damn this sucks.

Another show can pick up th show? Really? I hope this happens. How could it have been canceled after the season finale. It was epic! This is so stupid. This news is really depressing. Grr...

Well there was a rumor awhile back that Warner Brothers was trying to find it a new home, but TVbytheNumbers just posted this: "Sources confirm that not only has FOX officially passed on renewing Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, it’s even dead as far as Warner Brothers is concerned and they are no longer shopping it to other networks."

Blegh. I am ecstatic Dollhouse and Chuck are continuing, but this one really hurts. I will still buy the first two seasons on Blu-Ray, but I really wish this show could have found a way to continue.
