Hey Guys! I am in desperate need of some new music...mine is just all repeaty and I need something new to throw in my car's CD player. I like alternative music, indie, classical, and some older pop. Would anyone like to list some recommendations for me? I'd super duper appreciate it!!

Linkin Park, Within Temptation, Skillet, The Cure...If any of these bands help  As for classical, do you mean like Mozart or like AC/DC? I'd go with AC/DC lol or Bon Jovi or Billy Idol. If any of these don't tickle your fancy, then I'm lost lol

Lesse- Nightwish, Dresden Dolls, Apocalyptica, Vendetta Red, Boys Like Girls, We the Kings, and classically, I'm fond of Karl Jenkins' Palladios and Holst's Planets. And Copeland.
And, well, anything John Williams ever did.

Panic at the Disco, if you're into emo music, i suggest A Fever You Can't Sweat Out and if not, Pretty. Odd. is always a good choice because instead of emo men, just slightley whiney men.
if you're in for funny, The Lonely Island is the way to go...
Kanye's always a good choice.
The new Fray album's okay...
oh and The Cab, Bounce has been in my head for weeks it's soo good! and Candle (Sick and Tired) by.... i'm blanking right now, but it's good.

I have the new Fray album, there are like 2 shining songs on it and the rest suck...the first was much better. But I'm gonna check out all the others....
Classical, I mean instrumental, but AC/DC is good too...
I wanted to check out the rest of The Lonely Island...All I have heard is "I'm on a boat!" and I.LOVE.IT.
Thanks guys, keep it coming!

oh my god, Greer The Lonely Island is hilarious!!!!! Incredibad is amazing my personal favorites: Jizz in my pants, I'm on a Boat, Incredibad, Natalie's Rap, Lazy Sunday, D*in a Box, Shrooms, and Like a Boss... though it's not for people who don't like profanity.

haha I gathered that by the names of the songs! As soon as I can get my downloading software working again, I'm downloading the Lonely Island. I've got some of the Cure's music so far and I LOVE it!

and Candle (Sick and Tired) by.... i'm blanking right now, but it's good. it's by The White Tie Affair. i LOVE them. their whole cd is really good. i saw them in concert in October & they were amazing <3 if u like them i would also recommend Cash Cash. they're a little bit more pop than alt, but i love them the same. Just Left is pretty good too. All Time Low is greater than words can describe IMO . and if u haven't listened to Muse, u are truly missing out. 2 other must-hear bands: Jack's Mannequin & Something Corporate.

I'm in the middle of downloading some Muse, Death Cab is one of my favorite bands ever. I've been listening to them non-stop to get ready for my trip to Seattle, which is the area they're from! Weeeee!

Radiohead. Muse. Death Cab for Cutie. A friend was trying to sell me on Death Cab for Cutie for so long. I thought it was too "cutesy", but I've been going through their catalogue recently and have been taken with them, especially "Transatlanticism" and "Narrow Stairs". If you like indie music, Metric and Tegan & Sara are two of my favourites. Metric have a new record out in April called "Fantasies" which you can listen to on their website. www.ilovemetric.com/Listen to 'Gimme Sympathy' and 'Help, I'm Alive' for a taste of their style.

IMO, Transatlanticism is the only good Death Cab album.

Explosions In The Sky. Mogwai. since you like classical, you might like some post-rock what are some of your favourite bands atm?
just for the Death Cab record, i love Plans easily my favourite album of theirs
what about The Shins, The Dodos?

I've heard a couple of The Shins's songs, like 'em. Explosions in the Sky, I've only heard one song, "Your Hand in Mine" and I adore it.
My favorite bands/singers are Death Cab, HIM, Nine Inch Nails, THC, The Police(hehe), The Fray(though the 2nd album is ehhh...), Sia, Imogen Heap/Frou Frou, Keane, Jimmy Eat World, Sarah McLachlan, Led Zeppelin, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Anthony Stewart Head(his voice is just..amazing and his album's good), Trespassers William, and Underoath. I like a mix:)
Btw...I think that Transatlanticism is the BEST Death Cab CD...I haven't listened to any of the ones that were released prior to that, but Narrow Stairs & Plans don't even compare...there are a couple of good songs but the quality isn't as....magical?There's just not as much bang for your buck, I believe. Nonetheless, I still adore them. I can just get lost in Death Cab songs:)

Always Awesome: Queen, Something For Kate (good cartrip music),
Goth-ish HIM, Evanescence, Negative
Easy-listening: Michael Buble

Yay, you like HIM!!! I have a heartagram tattoo, I love them so much Btw, I've downloaded a lot of Explosions in the Sky-I love them! They're fantastic and realllly good thinking music! I also downloaded some of The Shins--great stuff! They remade "We Will Become Silhouettes" by The Postal Service, which is cool, because like I've said, I love me some Death Cab. I'm so glad we're talking about all this new music--it's really helping me get new songs!
