The scenario seems familiar, though. Could it have been in another episode?
I agree about it being hard to get into new shows because of all the other stuff out there. I never actually finished watching the british Office. It's not nearly as good.

It could have been. I was just thinking that maybe it was from Jim telling Michael to take it slow with Holly, whereas Pam was trying to usher him on. But Holly isn't the only lady Michael has pursued for one thing, and for another, Michael might not have been the person being advised at all. I'm just not sure.
I heard that the british office was pretty meh as well. I'm not a big Ricky Gervais fan either, so I just didn't feel the need to bother.

I remember in one episode, in the first part of the fifth season, Holly was leading a yoga group and afterwards Michael mentions how much he enjoys looking at Holly's ass to Jim's discouragement. Is that what you're thinking? But Pam was at art school, so I don't think she could've done any encouraging... I'm really a big fan of seeing, reading or whatevering source material before I see an adapting or remake, but that feeling went away after watching the first episode of the british Office. Maybe it was cultural or maybe the series has aged badly in the ten or so years since it premiered, but our version is far superior in my opinion, even the later seasons, which I previously mentioned I feel are just so-so. Coincidentally, as I was typing this up a commercial for this week's episode came on. Apparently, it involves Michael going on a date, I think. I only caught the latter half of the promo, but Michael referred to it as a "date night".

Yeah, I have no idea. That could have been it. Pam might not even have been involved. For some reason I feel like it could have been Oscar. But my mind may just be playing tricks on me.
I know what you mean. I usually try to read the book first (Or just follow the original), and then see the adaption, but sometimes it is much easier to watch the adaption first. (Like when I was reading Pride and Prejudice. Mr. Collins was freaking me out, so I had to watch the movie first.)
That sounds cool. I wonder who Michael is going to be going on a date with. There aren't really any ladies in the Office who he would get together with.

I don't remember anything about Oscar... Are you sure it's with Holly? I watched those episodes not that long, so I should remember... Maybe it is time for a rewatch, because the scenario still sounds familiar.
I absolutely hate my self when I read the book before the movie, because I can't ever read the book afterwards. I like to read, but it, unlike watching a movie, takes some amount of effort, so it's really hard for me to put that effort in when I already know everything that happens.
I'm hoping it's a double date, which would mean double the awkwardness!

That's a definite possibility. I remember the one episode where Jim and Pam were giving conflicting advice about whether or not to take a relationship slow (Can't remember if it was definitely Jim and Pam though, or the episode), and Jim was saying take it slow, whereas Pam was just saying to get on with it. So if Jim had just been a man and actually tried to make a move on Pam, they could have gotten together a lot sooner. I believe that was about Kevin. Right? Or am I mistaken?

Ooh, it was totally Kevin. Thanks executrix! And I think Wyndam posted recently. Right after the latest episode, I'm pretty sure.
A double date would be so funny. Who with, do you think? I feel like they would pick Jim and Pam, but they've got the new baby thing going on. Maybe it'll be their first night out since the baby was born, and Michael will find out and force them to go on a double date with him. Dinner Party part 2?

Maybe Michael crashes PB&J's date night. That would be funny. They finally have some time to themselves and are looking forward to the rest of their night when he appears, lol.
Or maybe it's speed dating, that way Michael could be rude and insulting to several women in one night!

Wow, I think you're the first person besides me and Elenasaur to post in this thread in several pages, lol. Believe me, I'm a huge Office fan. I have all the seasons and I believe the American version is far more superb. I'm someone who always will watch or read the original first and tend to admire it greatly. However, the British one I just am not a fan of. Oh and you're welcome Elenasaur! I recalled the episode and thought I would help.

Speed Dating would be hilarious. Michael would have so many ways to make an ass of himself. I could see combining both theories though. Jim and Pam going on date night to the bar where Michael's speed dating event is, Michael realizing it's a bust and then crashing their date. =P

Rofl @ 6 pages of Eric and elenasaur.
I've never watched The Office though. Except for the first 2 minutes of The Office UK. I don't really get Ricky Gervais at all.

Haha, yeah. Apparently Eric and I are the most dedicated Office fans on Slayalive.
You should definitely check out the Office. The American version. I am in agreement on the Ricky Gervais front. Not a fan of his. But the American version is awesome.

How'd you like last night's episode? I missed the first ten minutes, so I really missed a lot of it, since I think it was only a half hour episode.
Still, I thought it was pretty entertaining. I feel sorry for Angela, but I kind of like the She-Dwight. I will never understand how Mike continues to make women feel attracted to him. I mean, it wasn't 100% clear with the manager of the bar, but I think she was interested in him. And all this while he was wearing that hat. People who wear those hats make babies cry.

I dunno, Dwight seems pretty much over Angela by this point.

I dunno, Dwight seems pretty much over Angela by this point. I think he'll have a little soft spot for Angela yet Dwight's a logical person. He tends to go for his brain over his heart. Personally, I think Angela did a wicked move to both Dwight AND Andy. Andy has clearly moved on and Dwight's beginning to finally close that chapter with the new spark in his life.

Sorry I've been Mr. Not-Here, lately. On thursday, I totally forgot it was thursday! LMAO. I missed Parks and Rec., The Office and 30 Rock! Anyway, I just not watch this weeks episode and I loved it. These past two or three episodes since PB&J's baby have really gotten the series back on track in my opinion. I just hope they can keep it up. Brian Baumgartner (Kevin) was so on in this ep. in spite of only having a few gags. The part behind the window with Andy and Erin had me laughing harder than I have for a long time and his fake crying! I love Kevin. I also feel bad for Angela. It makes me rethink wanting her and Dwight to end up together if he's gonna be such a jerk. Also, that girl, Isabelle, right? Personally, I don't like her. Just my opinion. Maybe it's because she was the one who made Dwight act like an ass to Angela, but I just don't like her. And, yes, Michael's hat was horrible. Let's hope to never see it again.

You know Dwight, in my eyes at least, has been rather an ass since Season 5. Yes as fans we know he's methodical and particular in how he thinks or acts. However, throughout S5 and especially the later episodes, he is deliberating being spiteful towards Michael.
I'll still be a fan of his awkwardly hysterical quotes and I so enjoy Jim's pranks on Dwight, I just tend to imagine how I would think of the character if they happened to be real instead of a regular on a TV show. Definitely would be on Jim/Pam's side on trying to make his stay as "eventful" as possible.
