HQ images from TFAW. I won't be able to read it until I get it from BCC, and the fact that the spoiler woman looks a whole lot like Darla will be driving me nuts. She could also be Kate 'cause from the looks of it, definitely blond. And they have similar features.

That does look a WHOLE lot like Darla. I always thought it would be her instead of Cordelia because it makes more sense. Only a couple more hours! Can't wait to find out who it is for sure!

god i'm so hoping it's actually Cordy! She was just ok in Buffy (tho REALLY annoying after her breakup with Xander), but in Angel, man, she was awesome. I really loved her, especially in season 3, i hardly recall another buffyverse character whose presence was so positive, calming and adorable - she brighted up my tv screen.
And she was awkwardly put aside in season 4 (yes, she sort of was the villain in that one, but her character was completely obliviated), and let's not even mention s.5 (she's in a coma and all we get is Angel brooding when her name is mentioned in the season opener?? WTF??). You're welcome was cute, tho once again Cordelia's death is forgotten and she didn't really make an impact on the fang gang. Plus, that episode was meant for Buffy, but SMG couldn't make it for scheduling conflicts, so they scrapped the buffy storyline and just used Cordelia as a cover-up! LAME
Joss better pay homage to one of the greatest B-verse character in this issue. and if not in this one, in the next one.
P.S.: why darla? she wouldn't b part of connor storyline.
P.P.S.: SPOILER
is it true that wesley's story involves lilah?
edit: just seen the hi-res #7 cover. DAYUM. that girl IS darla.
oh well.
i gotta say they were pretty tricky, since the dark figure looked a lot like one of cordy's promo shoots for ATF.

So... it's actually funny, that the mystery girl is not any of the previously mentioned candidates. In fact, I'm amazed that she completely slipped everyone's mind, mine included. But dear ol' Kate's back kids... and she's a bad-arse gun-totting Tomb Raider meets Terminator chick. Kinda funny how she infantilized Connor though. Major gripe... and I can't seem to get over it quite yet... TYPO!!! TWICE!!! On the same page! "Ringing" someone's neck? I think you meant "wringing"... But minor gripe. The issue was a great quick read... but the last page is what really got me excited. There has been some talk about Slayers in Hell-A... and I think you may just have gotten your wish.

I like to think of them more as gladiators on crack... Point is... it's an interesting spin on what they're doing in LA. Rather than a straight rescue mission that is. Also possible avenues for storylines crossing (not crossovers per se). We'll see...

Wouldn't it be funny if it was Darla, though? ;D
Mere Smith: I think Darla's dead. I think she's really, really, really dead. We've killed her, like, three times. One of them's gotta take!
Buuuuut, despite being a firm believer that you can't resurrect Darla enough times, I actually prefer what we got. Missed that girl.

Ok so Kate's back. Hm can't really wait to get my hands on #7 (which will arrive at some point in 2012, since i live in the middle of nowhere of italy), cos i really want to see how they managed to re-introduce the character after almost 4 years of absence. cos the weirdest thing about kate's character is, she disappeared without nobody mentioning her / wondering whatever happened to her. and don't tell me her character had gotten some kind of closure, cos she is part of the buffyverse, ergo she has always lots of potential, storytelling-wise.
i'm afraid i didn't get the TYPO thing in somebody's reply - help, anybody?

"Ring" is the act of say, ringing a bell. To "wring" someone's neck, is to well... twist/strangle/cut off blood/oxygen supply/etc. Possibly even breaking the neck...
EDIT: You may also wring laundry... you know, when you twist it so that you squeeze the water out. If you're hand-washing that is.

ok thanks! i looked up typo and finally all made sense, thanks a lot
seems like ATF is bringing together all the characters from the past 5 seasons. the only missing in action at this point are: - doyle (weird, since joss said he wanted to bring him back as a villain. hmm) - cordy (grrr) - harmony - eve - lindsey
who else?

Drusilla, Lilah.
Speaking of returning characters: Brian said on Whedonesque that he just "saw [Franco's] designs for the big villain of SPIKE:ATF", so it miiiiiight be a take on an established character, if it's not an original character or a mislead.

Won't get my copy 'til tomorrow, but (unlike the new "Buffy"), couldn't stay spoiler-free, and had to find out who the "mystery woman" was. Kate, huh? So I won't have anything to say about the issue until tomorrow, when I actually read it. I'm only posting now to mention that I've noticed a couple of other typos in previous issues, and since we know Brian reads (at least some of) these posts, maybe he can do something about getting 'em fixed for the trade paperbacks/hardcovers. In the very first issue, Wes's name is spelled "Wyndham", when it's actually "Wyndam"--not only do the DVD subtitles and imdb.com back this spelling up, but at one point in the show ("Carpe Noctem", I think) you actually get to see his name printed on a business card, and it's "Wesley Wyndam-Pryce". The other typo was, I think in issue #4, when the colorful-haired babes from Silverlake show up to fetch Angel so Lorne can talk to him, one of them calls Wes "non-corporal man", instead of "non-corpor Eal man". I only noticed these 'cause I'm kind of a**l about spelling. And I'm not pointing them out to be critical, because they don't really "bother" me, but I just figured if there was even a chance to get them fixed, why not mention 'em?

no i like my real copy better, but thanks for the tip richie ! see it's one of the problems that come after embracing your geekines - all of a sudden, everything that can be considered as part of your interests MUST BE COLLECTED at any cost. but i don't mind paying for my comics, it's a good way to support the people behind them (not to mention god almighty joss), and besides, the cost is pretty much the same as the american issues. And sometimes people's kindness helps you out - i ordered the first five issues of ATF on eBay, and a GREAT seller (who i think owns a comic book shop) sent me the sixth issue as well, for free! my two cents - sometimes by doing the right thing you get something back god i just realised i turned this post into some kind of cheeky tale. well nvm

Online downloads of comics don't really meet this or any other forum's approval -- better drop that subject.
Not sure if this counts as an error, but it's always kind of bugged me that the word bolded in this speech bubble is "that":
"Everything is under control." "Is it, though, Wesley? Let's examine." "What is --?" "It was where we wanted Angel. It is a megaton or proof that everything is very far from under control."
Wouldn't it make more sense for "very" or "from" to be bolded? (English is not my first language, though, so I may be wrong.)

No, Enisy, you're right to with the 'that' thing. English isn't your first language? Wow, I couldn't tell at all. What is?
