;D OMFG! I'M SO EXCITED! ;D But is it just me or does Illyria look like Magneto? lol. I have a feeling Fred will die. I think the only reason she is still alive is because of the hell dimension thing, her insides are still probably liquefied and when Illyria escapes, Fred will no longer be able to live and die. Think that might happen? I was thinking the same thing.... Fred is dead... physically. Basically what this means is that her soul is still in tact and she can "move on" or whatever. I don't see how she could physically live though the whole Illyria taking over her body thing. But who knows? I wouldn't be opposed to her being alive again if it is done realistically and not just "oh, Illyria is out of Fred's body, she's alive now. Yippee".

wow Illyria coming out... can't wait. And she doesn't seem to like Angel. I never saw why Fred had to come back in the first place ( her death was so powerful, so beautiful). And kid Angel on the other cover is so cute lol

Really, has Lynch announced that there will be a nr 17? Yes, in the newest Q&A thread. I'm very happy we are getting five more than what was planned, I don't want to see this story end.

I completely forgot that it was originally supposed to end with #12. So incredible that we are getting up to #17 now. Plus with the announcement of "Aftermath", I am just ecstatic that Angel is getting so much love.

I'm going to read it regardless, but it would be nice to know that it really is canon. Although, I don't think it really matters because I don't think Joss is going to do anything else personally with the Angel franchise....

IDW has "Angel the Gold Mine" on their hands, and they know it. As good as "AtF" has been going, I am sure they got Joss' blessing. I mean in order for there to be an "Aftermath", "AtF" has to end a certain way, right? Joss planned the ending, so I say that he wanted stuff to happen after "After the Fall." I consider "Asylum" and "Shadow Puppets" canon now, I mean Betta George said something about Spike in the last issue, plus we have seen the "Asylum" alumni in past issues.

As Kelley Armstrong said:
"Is it going to be canon?
Ah, there’s the question and the answer is...it depends. It will follow from the events of Angel: After the Fall, it will continue that storyline and subsequent storylines will follow from it. So, yes, it’s considered canon. That said, though, I know to many readers, if it didn’t come from Joss Whedon himself, it’s not canon, and I’m fine with that. If readers don’t like my contribution to this amazing universe, they’re free to dismiss it as some kind of alternate reality blip in the series. Just pretend it never happened. :lol
IDW Publishing announced that you are going to join Brian Lynch in writing the sequel to their official continuation of the Angel TV Series.
I should clarify this. Brian is writing a separate story arc. Both will continue the series from the TV show (and After the Fall), but they are separate stories, so if readers do decide my contribution is a "best-forgotten alternate reality blip", the blame will fall solely on me, unfortunately..."
Not sure if that means that Brian Lynch's story will contradicte Aftermath or not, but I'll read both. I hardly see even after the fall as canon so aftermath and Brian's stuff will be a stretch, but enjoyable because I can say "Joss didn't make it, if I don't like it, I'll ignore it's existence."

Best bet they will deal with different areas of the verse, Angel with Kelley and Spike with Brian maybe? That way they can exist alone and one can be ignored as they won't be essential to read together? If it is different realities I will cry... Kelley is an amazing writer, I started reading Bitten a while ago and it is very interesting, I think she is going to do an amazing job and I, personally, can't wait.

I'm guessing that in the end, Illyria will be sent to another dimension along with the Senior Partners. Where she will give them a whoopin' of a lifetime. You guys think this might happen? Everything will work out because Illyria will be able to "rule" once again and the Senior Partners will get what's coming to them.

I wrote my version af an Angel season six back in Oct 2007 and it is incredibly scary how close I was to After The Fall. Illyria didn't go back to her true form but she was given back her powers that was taken from her in season five. I read a few of the things that were cut out of After The Fall and one of them was Cordelia asking the Powers that be to send her back to help Angel in the fight. Obvioulsy in After The Fall it didn't happen but in my fan fic this is how they won the battle. Connor went back to help after the fight with Hamilton, Gunn was dragged away but we did'nt learn that he was a vampire until a few chapters later. Wesley does come back but not until the finale of seaosn six after they are banished from our realm. Take a loom if any of it interests you. The links are at the bottom of my banner.

I would like to see Fred get the 'shell', and Illyria come out as her 'true self.' Then Illyria saves the day,or turns on the team. And have Illyria be able to go all demon, and blue Fred looking. I think there could be some funny lines with Fred and Illyria talking to each other.

Very much looking forward to this issue. Illyria has become one of the top characters of "Angel" IMO.
