i think sarah michelle gellar is a must, as just a one-shot guest star. she could play a client-and she'd have to be a bitch, like kathryn in cruel intentions. just to see her on the show would make me wet myself. and who else...anthony stewart head would be nice to see-connected to adelle perhaps?? David Boreanaz and James Marsters would be MORE than welcome by me as well.

yes i definitely like it. it could've been so much better if joss had more control but his script IS funny and it really is the beginning of buffy. There's a lot of lines that i still think are so funny (especially with buffy's valley girlfriends) and when buffy's dancing with pike at the prom and he says 'you're not like other girls buffy' and she says 'yes i am.' CLASSIC buffy.

ok, this kind of goes w/o saying but I LOVE buffy. I've held the desire for a new buffy movie for awhile so this is like my dream slowly coming true. I think a lot of fans are freaking out w/o even really thinking logically and considering it. #1-yes, SMG played buffy for a long time but she isn't the only actress to portray her and she isn't even the original. So who's to say that there isn't a SINGLE other actress out there who could be buffy wonderfully?? #2- They know they f*cked up the original buffy movie. They are saying it's going to be darker and action packed- the action packed buffy movie is what I want!! That was 1992, this is 2009. With the right director and cinematography, it could be an amazing looking movie. #3- They said that they do not plan to ignore the tv series. It wont involve the characters from the show, but as long as it doesn't destroy the story told over the shows seven seasons, why not? Think about all the new characters we could meet. And if it turns into a movie franchise, the potential for character growth is definitely there. So the first movie could just be a remake of the original, and the second and third movies could be stories linking the movies and the tv show- right before buffy moves to sunnydale. Or did they say it wont be a prequel?? That's the thing, the PLOT and the SCRIPT are what i'm most concerned about. If either of those are shitty, it's got nowhere to go but down and that would be beyond a shame. Joss NEEDS to be involved with the plot and script at least!!

ok, just the fact that a new buffy movie is actually being considered makes me SO freakin' happy right now!! My first reaction to no joss or no smg was hell no! But like other posters said, there are plenty of other writers who know the buffyverse who could write an awesome script-and joss could probably find the time to review it and put any necessary touches on it. No SMG is more concerning to me. If it's not going to involve Buffy, how can it be a buffy the vamire slayer movie? If they did have someone else play buffy, it would be fine if we didn't have the other scoobies. I think a movie taking place in between the original movie and season one could be cool. I don't know, I don't think the original movie was that bad. Yes, it was cheesy (it was made in '92!), but I think it was damn funny and it's buffy!!! I LOVE SMG and know she is super busy but I'm warming up to the thought of someone else playing buffy. Kristy Swanson was the original anyway. Someone else might breathe new and refreshing life into the character.

maybe it was a little cheesy, but it showed how close they are and how long they've been friends. and i don't think they hit any kind of branch by xander saving willow-he was her best friend!! who else could've saved her?? buffy and giles both failed. how is her best friend telling her he loves her and saving her a cliche?? if it is, it surely isn't a bad one.

i know no more lorne for us. Little dose of reality for us and hopefully joss and the actors- make a buffy movie before you die, b/c like buffy says in 'the harvest'-"tomorrow, you could be dead."

the fact that xander is a male and brings willow back to normal after taras death doesn't have to do with his sex so much as his relationship with willow. He is her BEST friend-since they were kids. When he was telling her he loved her, it was as her best friend!! Trust me, i'm the first one to call out sexism and even the slightest bit of homophobia, but xanders penis had nothing to do with it lol.

it would be amazing and i can only hope the stars align someday. I think it'd be awesome and fitting if it wasn't only a buffy movie, but included angel and his crew as well. I mean, it would make sense-they are all in the same universe. One big final blowout to end both buffy and angels stories.
& I don't buy the aging vampire thing-ive said it before. Makeup and lighting can make the angel and spike look younger-it's hollywood!

season 6 was cool to see the gang grow w/o giles (b/c they all screwed up royally), but the scooby gang is just not the scooby gang w/o giles in my opinion. I think I liked it best in seasons four and five. this is when i started watching so it's special to me and brings me back. the earlier seasons were awesome b/c thats where it all started and it's like the classic but angel doesn't excite like spike, cordelia and anya are alike in many ways- but anya is funnier, oz and tara are both quiet & I like willow with tara better anyway. riley's there but i don't really mind him- he was nice to have around b/c he could actually throw down and fight! unlike cordelia and oz who couldn't really do much.

how is the lesbian cliche meritable? ? please tell me. look at buffys relationships-angel, parker, riley, spike, satsu-NONE have ended well. Look at Xanders- Willow (to an extent), Cordelia, Faith, Anya, Lissa, Renee-NONE have ended well. Look at Giles- Jenny, Olivia, Joyce-NONE have ended well. And just because tara and willow are lesbians means that lesbians never get happy endings?? Watch queer as folk, melanie and lindsey have a happy ending on that show. If anything, tara and willow were treated just like every other couple on the show and that's the way it should be- in real life too! I'm glad joss didn't treat them differently in that way. And I don't understand how the bullet couldn't have gone through the bedroom window? It's on the backside of the house and warren was still shooting aimlessly like a psychopath as he ran away after shooting buffy. Tara being in the kitchen would've made is more sensible? It's really not of great importance-and it makes sense being in the bedroom anyway.

Tara in Season 7 might've been amazing. Imagine if Willow AND tara did the spell in "Chosen" to activate the potential slayers? They might both be goddesses now in season 8. I loved Tara and obviously would like it if she had never gotten killed, but there are other factors. Contrary to popular opinion, Kennedy IS interesting. She and Willow have a totally different dynamic and it's cool to see Willow with a slayer (kind of crazy to think how Willow had always been fascinated by buffy and her slayer-ness and eventually she ends up with a slayer!) But regarding taras death specifically, it's about a character arc. It's not like tara and willow are the only couple who've dealt with this situation-practically ever other couple on the show has. So the stupid 'lesbian death/evil unhappy ending' argument is baseless. Tara and Willow had been together for a good amount of time- and the way joss thinks is if everything is peaceful and happy, then it's boring. I don't agree 100%- I DO wish xander and anya got married, and the writers probably could've come up with more story for tara and willow for the rest of season six and seven. BUT this is part of their story! Willow was always supposed to go dark- even though it wasn't a complete disaster, it could've been done better- and i love the fact that she went dark. It was amazing to watch and after all those years-starting off so innocently doing spells- interesting and compelling. The bullet killing tara makes sense-because she was such an earthy character-it contrasts well. We're talking about storytelling devices here. Taras death was necessary for Willows character growth afterwards.

So I cannot be the only fan who wishes they were part of the scooby gang! There have been many members who've come & gone, so is there anyone you think never should've left-or perhaps never should've come in the first place? When do you think the scooby gang was at it's best and WHY?!

These names really are so cool. I think "Hotel" and "Uniform" could be very interesting b/c they sound like they work well with the dollhouse themes. A hotel is somewhere where many different people stay- obvious connection to the imprinting process. And just look at the definition for uniform--an identifying outfit or style of dress worn by the members of a given profession, organization, or rank. Hello dollhouse!!! I also hope we get to meet Papa, Oscar and Romeo just because I like the sound of those names.

1. I fell in love with Dollhouse when it was revealed Mellie/November was a Doll. That was the first awesome moment for me. 2. In "Man on the Street" when Eliza played Rebecca and kept saying "porn!"- that was one of the funniest moments. 3. Also in "Man on the Street", the fight between Echo and Paul was intense! 4. Sierra undercover & in heels in "Spy in the house of love" 5. When Echo said "At night when we go in the pods, sierra cries"- The way Eliza delivered this line made it that much more poignant. 6. The bit of dialogue at the end of "Haunted" Margaret: Will I see my life flash before my eyes? Adelle: Every single moment. I love poignant moments. 7. Sierra as Tophers friend for his birthday. I loved her in that role. 8. The Whiskey reveal-another moment of brilliance. 9. When Echo/Crystal smashed Alpha in the face with that bar thing in "Omega" 10. Seeing Adelle with Victor/Roger surprised me. While there are certain moments that I love, I really love the series as a whole. It really feels like every little thing is meaningful and that is what excites and engages me. It's one reason I love Buffy & Angel (Any of joss's work really)- thoughtfulness & poignancy- T.V. worth more than entertainment, but as something to be looked back on and studied as a work of art. The text of the scripts could easily compete with the best literature out there in terms of characterizations and storytelling. K now I'm rambling. I'm just so happy Dollhouse exists! I can't wait for the DVD!

I think she's done great. She seems to have definitely improved since the earlier episodes. In "Stage Fright" I think is when she was most reminiscent of Faith, but in "Haunted" she was great portraying Margaret the older woman. She also was great in the final episode when she was dealing with Alpha. She was somehow hotter with that southern accent too.

My friend just showed me an article on season 8 in wizard magazine. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and thought some of you would as well. They name their top 10 favorite moments of the season so far! Go look for it.

I really love every one of the first four arcs- The Long Way Home is totally underrated. It flows really nicely, it looks great, has great action and character moments & served perfectly as the introductory arc. No Future for You is wonderful. The story between Faith and Gigi was done perfectly and yes, Faith in a ball gown gives this arc some extra points. Wolves at the gate was epic. The epic-ness continues with Time of Your Life. I love both of these arcs equally.
Predators and Prey is definitely my least favorite. I thought I would like having a new story every month, but the format is not as rewarding or fulfilling as a 4/5-issue-long arc. Swell is definitely my favorite individual issue of the arc-it seemed the most balanced. Harmonic Divergence & Safe didn't excite me. Predators and Prey was pretty good-even though I don't really like Andrew. Living Doll seemed like an awfully fast and easy wrap up for the dawn/kenny storyline I've been following for the past two years. I was expecting more from that story-something bigger or more meaningful. I mean, is that really the end of dawns transformation storyline? I certainly hope not!!

Another great title! "Living Doll", I just love the sound of it. I've been waiting for Doug Petrie's contribution to this series since the beginning. I'm interested to see which way this story goes, considering it focuses on Xander & Dawn, is it going to be in the same vein as "Potential" which is similar to the scenes Dawn & Xander shared in "Anywhere But Here", or will it be more action and adventure, like their story in the "Time of Your Life" arc. It's also intriguing as to how Twilight will be involved in this story. I still have a feeling he could have a connection to Dawn, considering the similarities in their respective names, it's obvious yes, but it will still make for a very interesting story. The idea that this could be another of Dawn's transformations is also very fascinating. This could be Dawn's final transformation. Speaking of that, does anyone have an opinion on the significance of Dawn becoming a centuar? Dawn as a giant I get. It's hilarious, the subtext was so obvious that it was TEXT, which fueled the humour of the situation. But Dawn as a centuar, funny, but I can't seem to "get" any other meaning from this. Is there any allegorical or metaphorical aspects to this transformation that I'm just missing? well we don't even know what the deal is yet with the thricewise spell but my guess is that her turning into a centaur relates to her desire to be different or special. (even though she is pretty damn unique-not too many former balls of energy walking around outside)-but considering the people dawns surrounded by, her desire to be something more is understandable. I don't know, that's just my guess as of right now.
