Once again Mikey you read what you want to read and hear what you want to hear. I did not say anything about the Bible saying anything against "Homosexual Marriage", I said the Bible speaks against Homosexuality. However, you can make the connection there since the Bible speaks about Marriage being between man and woman and it speaks against man "laying" with man and woman "laying" with woman...therefor it is a very small leap to say that according to the Bible gay marriage is not OK.
I also need to re-point out that I am not personally against Homosexuality or gay marriage. I live my life with a "to each their own" attitude and I try not to make personal judgments toward people or the lifestyle they choose unless it is hurtful to others...which I do not consider Homosexuality to be when it is between consenting adults. The only thing I am saying is that when gay marriage becomes legal, which I am personally fine with, I would hate to see faith institutions forced to comply when it goes against their long standing teachings. If a Church chooses to permit gay marriage in their Church then that is awesome, but if a Church chooses not to, that is their right too. Forcing Churches to comply would be just as bad as Churches forcing the Government to adopt their teachings, which neither should be doing.

OMG! You looked something up and quoted it! You sure got me! There is nothing in the Bible that speaks against interracial marriage, but the Bible does speak against Homosexuality. Therefore I think it would be very wrong for any Church or faith institution to be forced to accept and perform gay marriage. Race and Sexuality are VERY different and I know a LOT of people of various races that get angry when they get lumped in the same group.

Jinxie, why would you hate to see churches forced to do something against their beliefs? It's been done before, and rightfully so. When interracial marriage was against the law and churches wanted nothing to do with it. When the laws changed churches were forced to comply. Now it's part of the norm. I'm sorry to say but Race and Sexuality are two different things, and the acts of Homosexuality, in a Marriage or not, goes against the doctrines and teachings of most Churches, whereas the acts of a Bi-racial, Heterosexual, Married couples do not. I would also say that probably not all Churches complied and I'm sure there are still some Churches out there that, unfortunately do not comply...which I think is their right to. Again, let me state that I, personally, am not against gay marriage, but I would hate to see Churches forced to condone something they do not agree with. I hope the separation of Church and State will hold up in the reverse and the States will not try to tell the Churches what they have to do under the guise of Political Correctness.

So...does Respecting someone's Opinion mean that you have to agree with it? I think those are two completely different concepts. I can hear someone's opinion, not agree with it but still respect that opinion as a valid opinion. I can even respect an opinion and not respect the person who stated it I will give my stance now. I am cautiously OK with gay marriage. I do not think it will be the downfall of families and I do not think it will cause God to destroy our nation or the world. I also do not say this sarcastically as I am a Christian who practices his faith. The reason I say "cautiously OK" with it is because I believe that a Marriage conducted through a Church and a state marriage are two different things, and many Churches and Faiths have varied beliefs as to what a marriage is, where as the state pretty much recognizes every Marriage as the same thing. My fear is that what will follow the legalization of Gay Marriage is individual's suing institutions of faith because they will not conduct or condone gay marriage in their establishment, then they will be forced to do so by the "law" against their faith beliefs. I think if a Church believes that it is OK and wants to conduct gay marriages it is fine, but I would hate to see churches forced too against their beliefs.

Not really dead and brought back:Warren was never dead and Joss made a mistake (we forget he is human sometimes). I thought Warren having never been dead was a retcon for the comics. I forget how Joss reconciled the inconsistency of the First using Warren's form and Warren being in the comics. I suspect he intended for Warren to be dead during Season 7 (hence the First showing up as him and TKIM having more emotional resonance). But when the comics came around it had been 5 years and he only thought he had to explain how Warren could've survived the flaying in order to bring him back. That Warren's death could be viewed ambiguously if he said that Amy saved him from dying with her magic, except that he forgot about the First next season making it clear that Warren was dead. Um...yeah...Joss said in an interview somewhere that he made a mistake and overlooked the fact that the first appeared as Warren. The explanation that fits best is that Warren flat lined, much like Buffy at the end of season 1, and then Amy saved his life with magic ...kind of like a magic CPR and skin graft. Thus Warren was never really dead but only momentarily dead then revived by Amy. In a sense his death was not set but he was in that state where he was retrievable...like a drown victim who can be revived by CPR. Much like that, if Willow can heal Renee before her soul leaves her body then she could save her life and it wouldn't be like she was brought back...only healed...like Buffy at the end of season 6.

I haven't even read the issue yet, but i'm pretty sure she's dead. Joss can't bring back any more characters. That would just be silly. no more i say. This is starting to look lika a bad daytime soap opera One thing, Renee is not dead yet. She was still alive on the last page. This combined with the fact that the one person who would have the magic to heal her BEFORE she dies is in the room. It is completely plausible that Willow could heal her IF she acts fast enough...thus she would not be "brought back" I also don't understand why so many people condemn Joss for bringing people back, when he really doesn't do it very often. How many people have Joss actually brought back from death in 12 seasons of TV and 21 issues of comic. Dead and brought back:Buffy. Darla. Kennedy, apparently. Not really dead and brought back:Angel was never dead...just in a Hell dimension. Spike was sucked into the Amulet when his body dusted...so I don't know if that would be considered a death as his soul and a non-corporal form of his body remained. Wesley technically is still dead. Warren was never dead and Joss made a mistake (we forget he is human sometimes). Dead and staying that way...as of yet:Jenny Joyce Tara Anya Doyle Cordelia Fred (although this might change) Countless Victims Countless Potentials My point: More people stay dead in the Buffyverse than come back and those who do come back do so for a reason. If Renee doesn't die her near death will play a part in Xander's characterization and the formation of their relationship.

I've been working on this set this weekend. I've been wanting to get to them for quite some time but that is something I never seem to have...so I made some Hermione is made using a MAC White Witch Willow Pre-production figure which is slightly bigger than the produced Willows so she is a perfect height for Hermione. I used Hermione's head and hands and sculpted the neck, bottom and cuffs of her sweater. I still need to finish the detail on shoes. Ron is made completely from a Ron figure and I removed the collar and tie with a razor, glued his head in and sculpted the bottom of his neck and the neck of his sweater. I also cut the shirt off the bottom of the sweater. I can understand why NECA didn't produce these variants...the detailing on their shirts was tedious...Ron's was one of the most difficult paint aps I've ever done. When I sell them I will include Crookshanks and Pigwidgen. I plan on putting them on eBay but if anyone is interested you can make me an offer so I can avoid eBay.

I think it started in season 2. I think Jasmine took advantage of Angel and Darla sleeping together to create conner and the used the fact that Cordelia had the visions to her advantage by giving her the "gift" of becoming part demon. Then...my memory is a little fuzzy...did skip have any part that we know of in bring Holtz to the future...I know it was Sashan (or whatever his name was) that did it, but do we see Skip in there at all...probably not because then we would know he was bad, but I think it is plausible that he could have had a hand in it. Of course if you are asking when the writers started plotting this all out I think it was probably started in season 3 when they took advantage of Angel and Darla sleeping together...but I doubt they had it completely mapped out at that time.

Ok, I think this idea is really disrespectful to Juliet. She was offering this figure as her own exclusive, sure the price was high but it needed to be to justify the costs and meet her target. By doing this petition you are stealing the figure off her hands, just so you can get it cheaper. I think the petitioned figure should be changed to TL Willow, at least then you'll get more sigs and won't be stepping on any toes. \ Um...maybe he wants to get it produced because he wants the figure, not because he wants a lower price (although that is nice as well). I don't think he is "stealing the figure off her hands" its more like she threw it in the trash and he picked it out, brushed it off and is now presenting another possibility so that collectors may have a chance to get one last figure. If you want a TL Willow than maybe you should start a petition for that figure. I would sign it as well.

Willow has had the ability to heal in a second since the end of season 6...she healed Buffy in the hospital. I think in season 7 after her encounter with Knarl she didn't want to tap into that power to heal herself so she was using a more Gia friendly form of magic then what she did with Buffy. I think now that Willow has mastered her magic far better than she had in season 7 and is not as afraid of it any more she was able to tap into that same kind of magic she used previously to heal herself, and since she had gone to that "refuge" place she was able to heal herself as if she were a bystander rather than the victim and heal even her damaged brain because her conciseness was kept safe in her "refuge."

I'm reading alot of this on the board, that the slayer line ends after the demons and magicks are banished from the "earthly dimension." Quoted from Fray issue 3: Urkon: They were gone. All demons, all magicks, banished from this earthly dimension. Fray: And the Slayer? Did she... Urkon: I do not know if she lived. But, the demons being gone, she was the last to be called. The line continued...there were girls with the power, but they were never called, never trained. Which may be why you have no memories of your heritage. The council of watchers fell to ruin, held together only by fanatics and fools. Those that believed the demons would return. As you can see it is stated that the Slayer power continues...it's just that the watcher council "falls to ruin" and no other girls are called to train...because there is no need. Also, there is no reason to believe that Willow is gone, only that she no long has magic. Now you can speculate on what Season 9 would be if what was said in Fray comes to past at the end of Season 8. What if at the end of Season 8 Buffy and Willow are banished along with the demons and magics, because of their place in the battle and proximity to whatever it is that banishes the demons and magics, maybe a portal that sucks them all into another dimension...or something. Anyway, if Buffy and Willow are in the dimension where the Demons and magics are banished to then Willow would still be able to preform magic and maybe she is able to get her and Buffy back to earth...maybe loosing her magic when she returns or perhaps she is the only one who can continue to tap into magic since she was in the dimension where the magic went to. Perhaps even some demons and magic piggyback to earth with them and season 9 is spent tracking them down and eliminating them before they can undo what was done. I doubt it'll happen in S8 if there will be a S9 Well, OK then, I'll stop with the speculating...Thank you for your "contribution" to my ideas.

How do you guys think they'll end the story for good?? I always thougt that the end meant buffy dies. No. I don't think that will be the end. In Fray, I believe it was said that there was a battle, where all kinds of magic - demons, vampires, slayers, and witches - were forced out of our demension. I believe in a way off to the future issue that is where Buffy will end. Besides, her death won't call a new Slayer. And when I say slayer, I dont think the person, I think the essence of a slayer. So i guess that means willow goes I'm reading alot of this on the board, that the slayer line ends after the demons and magicks are banished from the "earthly dimension." Wow! That list was in some kind of random order... I chose OMWF, not just for story, but technically what he accomplished is amazing. I would then say the Body, Hush, and Restless. Restless would be higher because of the way it is written, but personally I don't find it to be very entertaining so it gets knocked down a few...but only a few. I would round off my top five with A Hole in the World...gotta give Angel some love

But when she claimed that the actors cannot act she lost her right to opinion only because she had already proclaimed that she does not watch the shows...How can she make a judgement on the acting abilities of someone like Nicholas Brendon when she doesn't even know who Xander is? I read it as if she'd seen several seasons and then decided that she didn't like it (she only liked OMWF) Read it again, she makes several statements to the contrary: "When you talk about Xander, I don’t really know who you’re talking about" and "I get that you see inherent genius in a show about high school vampires" If she had seen several seasons she would know who Xander is and that the show is not about high school vampires...even if she did not enjoy the show...heck she should know who Xander is if she has only seen one episode...unless that episode was Conversations with Dead People All she is saying is that she has no clue as to what Joss Whedon's shows are about and she is judging it all on her friends who are fans of his work.

Yeah, Her stereotyping and generalization about everyone who is a fan of Joss Whedon's work is just...wrong!
As someone said on Whedonesque (and I am grossly paraphrasing because I read it a couple of hours ago) it sounds like the fans she knows are just annoying people, don't judge every fan of Whedon's work because you have annoying, know-it-all friends who happen to be Buffy fans.

Ok, she had the right to express her opinion and state that she just doesn't like the show, not because she hasn't watched it but because she just isn't interested, that is fine! But when she claimed that the actors cannot act she lost her right to opinion only because she had already proclaimed that she does not watch the shows...How can she make a judgement on the acting abilities of someone like Nicholas Brendon when she doesn't even know who Xander is?
And since when has Buffy been about High school vampires?

All the figures they had planned to release plus two final waves
Buffy: Passions Jenny Demon Jenny (I love the demon variants) The Wish Buffy A regular Riley (don't care about the outfit) Soldier Riley Season 5 Harmony (interchangeable vampire head from "Harm's Way" figure below) Build a Figure: Adam
Angel: Street Gunn (T-shirt & Zip up Hoodie) Season 5 Gunn (New sculpt, not crappy Wesley sculpt) Magic Bullet Fred Slave Fred Harm's Way Vampire Harmony (Interchangeable regular head from Buffy Season 5 Figure) Evil Pregnant Cordy in the Black Dress Build a figure: The Beast
I would also love a Box Set from OMWF including Willow and Tara from the Park, Xander, Spike and Giles from the end and Buffy from the opening number. Adding them to Dawn and Anya would give a great representation of the episode.
