I love the idea of a small army of slayers turning up, that is how I've imagined it...but I think Joss said somewhere that that is not what happened. I'm very interested to see where it goes. And Newt, I too hope that Joss incorporates his previous ideas for season 6.

If they did a movie I would agree with smartjoe299. I would like to see it continue straight from the end of Chosen...or a few months later. I would love to see a smaller story with the core characters with a glimpse of the larger pictures happening like Giles setting up the new watchers counsel and slayer squads being set up around the world...but still focusing on a threat centered around Buffy and the scoobies.
If a Buffy movie didn't happen I would love to see a movie about a different slayer. I mean there have been thousands of slayers through the years. Joss could tell the story of any one of those slayers...actually I think that would make a really fun TV series...Tales of the Slayer: the series. Each episode could be a new Slayer and her story, some of the stories could be two, three, or even four or more episodes depending how big that Slayers story is. It could jump around in time and give us different slayers from different eras each week....or some of them could even go in sequence...There are so many potentials with a series like that.

Glory seemed A LOT tougher than Jasmine.

The way I see it, is Jasmine was a deity in the guise of love to cover up her own selfishness. This to me is highlighted in Peace Out, when she asks the people in the Hyperion to build her a great monument even larger than the pyramid of Giza. The only reason I bring this up is because I never understood why Jasmine needed to blot out he sun to come forth. It never made any sense to me. Then it occured to me that it wasn't necessary at all. Jasmine merely wanted the world to be in great peril so she could save it, and in turn become the savior of humanity. This is why she makes the beast forge a weapon out of his own bone. So she can sacrifice him and bring back the sun, saving everyone. She just wants to be worshipped and adored no matter what the cost. ANyway, i don't know if that answers any of your questions but it's the way I see it, and it's a viewpoint I've never heard brought up in discussion of the Jasmine arc. I agree, that is a great way to look at this. I've always felt that this season is the blackest hole in the entire buffyverse! Mainly because it crapped all over Cordelia and destroyed the awesomeness they had set up for her in season 3. One of the most exciting moment for me was when Cordy became half demon and she had powers, I loved it! Then they destroyed her. They say that there was nowhere else to go with her character but they barely explored her demon powers. The direction they took Cordy in this season was the worst plot choice Joss and company had ever created...IMO. Although I do have to give them credit for using this season to lead into what I consider to be one of the best seasons of Angel...Season 5. The only thing S5 is missing is Cordy. I always thought a cool way they could have redeemed their crapfest on Cordy would have been to have her wake up from her coma during the flashes of Potentials getting their Slayer Power in Chosen. Then have Cordy be a Slayer in Season 5 of Angel. She could be in the show but not work for Wolfram and Hart.

Hmm, there are some good stuff in it, but its just FAR too camp The two lead vampires are just awful, and the final showdown between Buffy and Lothos is laughably bad. He's got to be the worst vampire fighter in the world! lol, I think I could have taken him, never mind a Slayer Maybe they should do a George Lucas style directors cut, and CGI all the vamps turning to dust when staked. If I ever watch it I can't help doing the dusting sound effect whenever Buffy kills one That would be awesome if Joss Whedon could re-edit it, adding in Vampire dusting, a new score, and a new cuts. If he pulled the original footage (provided it was still around) and did a new cut of the film being able to use new angles and unused footage he might be able to make it truer to his original idea. Have they ever had a "Writer's Cut" of a movie before.

Out of your options I had to say that I hate it...it has its moments but every time I watch it, knowing the series so well and having read Joss's original script I can't help but think what it should have been or could have been if it had been realized as Joss had envisioned it. On the other had that could have bad for the Saga of Buffy because if it had been as good as it could have been we might have, what...a few sequels...each worse than the one before it. Now we have Seven seasons of a great TV show and comic to continue it...I think it was better for the world that the movie was the horror it was...and not horror in a good way.

I never thought about Riley not mentioning it. Faith could have been filled in by Willow on the way to Sunnydale and not had the nerve to mention anything to Buffy...but Riley? It should have been a shock to him.
I always wished that Buffy had mentioned something about Joyces presense being with her when she talked about being in heaven to Spike in Afterlife.
And that grave scene would have been great. I really think there were a lot of missed opportunities in season 7 to throw back to the earlier seasons. They could have made season 7 an awesome cap to the series by bringing back so many characters and really messing with the gang. What if they had brought Oz back and then Willow goes to hug him and goes right through him...that would have messed her up to find out that Oz had died from the first.
I also would have liked to have seen the First take on more one-off people from earlier seasons. That would have been great if the three spirits in the first episode had been actual deaths from seasons 1-3, bring back some one-off actors who got killed on screen. That would have really thrown Buffy off, to see people that she knew and didn't save instead of three victims that she never met.

Love them! They are great! And they are getting better! The Faith arc is, IMO, much better than the first arc...which I thought was great.
And I'm loving the start of Angel, I can't wait for #2!

Maybe embalming does stop a Vampire from turning. The length from Death to Raising seems to vary for some reason (probably for plot purposes and inconsistency's) but because it happens in the Buffyverse we can assume that there are variables that make the change faster for some and longer for others. I think that it is shown that typically they die one night and raise on the next. If that is the case then someone wouldn't be embalmed, we can assume that the family wanted them buried quickly for some reason and that they were buried before embalming. As far as I know, a body is only embalmed if the burial service is longer than, I think, three days after death and a family can choose to bury quickly if they want to avoid embalming. I know this because I use to work at a Catholic Church and sometimes we had to rush funeral services because the family did not want embalment.
But on the other hand because there is obviously something supernatural going on with the raising of a demon in the dead body then I think we can assume that the turning returns the body back to its original state. When a vampire raises it's neck wound is healed...it's feasible that the whole body would heal itself.

We also have to remember that Willow didn't go to England with Giles because she killed Warren, it was because of the Dark magic that she used at the end of season 6. She didn't just use dark magic she absorbed it into herself, there is no way to get it out as we see through flashes throughout season 7. She needed to learn how to live with this darkness in her so that it didn't consume her and make her completely evil. She was like an addict and she had to learn how be in her new state so that she didn't destroy the world...that is a little different than anyone else on the show who killed someone else, accidental or on purpose.
Besides, we don't even know if anyone else knew that Giles killed Ben. He did it quietly while everyone else was fighting elsewhere. They could have all thought Ben died as a result of what Buffy did to Glory.

Season 4! Like everyone else it has to do with evil Cordy. It was just really disappointing the way they set her up to have untold powers in season 3 and then destroy all her character development and potential in season 4 and then kill her.
I love season 5 though, it is my favorite season. The only thing that is missing is Cordelia! "You're Welcome" really shows how strong the season could have been with Cordy...although her absence, her presence, then death are really what give Angel his direction through the season...it would have been a different show with Cordelia in it.

Are you talking about season 8 or all the TPBs? If you want to get ALL the issues you should get the Omnibuses. They give every issue in chronological order. Season 8 will have each arc and the stand alones in them in order.

They don't look very "battle ready" to me. They are all standing in fairly nutral stancese with mild experessions on their faces. Xander even looks to have a bit of smile on his face.

Oh...I like Renee LOL! I just want her to go away hehe. I'm starting to gun for a full-fledged Bander ship. Renee is a wretch in my dream haha. Other than her loving the Xan-man, I have no beef with her. Maybe Satsu and Renee can console each other... Now That I would watch! I would also like a Bander ship to sail!
