Well, if you think about it, both Angel and Spike hooking up with their sires was kinda like a twist on the Oedipus' Complex.

Yes, you can ask more questions. And yes, questions are open to the TV series as well, as they always have been.
As a general note to all, I'd rather not have any more shipperesque questions. I let a couple of them in, but what I've learned is that there will always be an offended party with those, so no more of those please. I think Jeanty has spoken enough about the shipping issues.
@vampslayer: Your latest question has already been asked by leyki. I just haven't updated the questions on deck bit to reflect it, but if you scroll down the first page, you'll see her question there.

Remember when Fray visits Gunther, walking on top of his fish tank, and he expresses the wish that she would wear a skirt? I'm betting he's human. I think that just proves he's a heterosexual male.

Gods bless the person who invented online shopping. Amen to that.

Thanks, AC and VampSlayer. I was thinking along those lines too, and Spike's/Aluwyn's cork analogy is the best explanation there is... but it just seemed like a logical conundrum of sorts.

Sending off the next batch. AC, I'll be sending both sets of yours since I forgot the first batch. Georges has told me that he's done with #40, and has plenty of time to answer these, so go nuts. I wanna get them to him by this Wednesday, so go nuts, ask all the questions you have. But please be mindful that this is a professional who's been exceedingly generous with his time with us, and therefore, be civil and courteous in your questions. Constructive critique is fine, but aggressive and accusatory tones will result in your questions not being used, and a stern warning. Thanks all... some great stuff here, and I'd like to see more.

No more Hellmouths, unfortunately. So, I've kinda been wondering about destroying the Seed vs. removing it. In both instances, it's essentially gone. However, removing it causes the world to die, whereas destroying it merely cuts off all magic. Anyone care to give this some thoughtful fanwank, or even textual explanation?

I kinda like going to the movies by myself. No need to coordinate with others, no need to share snacks, no need to feel judged if I like it even though it's lousy. No talking when you're trying to pay attention. It's great really.

Don't think I'm gonna get any work done tonight since I have Vh1 Divas and Walking Dead to watch tonight. That's the most random combination I've ever heard of.

Tyler, I already answered this for you HERE. Also, this is a question better suited for Scott, not Jeanty.

So, what did the vampires being famous and everyone thinking Slayers were terrorists and people having Twiight's mark have anything to do with anything? That's been explained in chunks over the season. Angel assuming the mantel of Twilight was to rally all the factions that opposed Buffy under one banner. Basically, give her one big enemy to fight, rather than have people coming at her from all angles. It was basically Angel's idea of damage control; of keeping the body count minimal. The ethics of it are sketchy, and I'd rather we not rehash it all over again. All this was supposed to focus Buffy's anger, which apparently was a prerequisite for her ascension.

I think he did use the shelves to fit some of his books. But libraries also contain regular books; classic, encyclopedias, dictionaries, reference books, textbooks, etc. Those would have taken up the bulk of the library inventory.

Incidentally, Giles didn't have to be a librarian. In fact, if the Council had known Buffy better, stationing a Watcher in a place that she'd be more likely to show up than a library would probably have been a better idea. The library only became the unofficial meeting place because it was convenient, and would rouse the least amount of suspicion. I mean kids visiting the library... normal, right? However, the job did have to be something with a cover Giles would be fairly good at maintaining. (Imagine if they'd tried to make him, say, a computer science teacher.) And as a librarian at a school where apparently nobody ever goes to the library, he'd have more free time for his Watcher duties than a teacher with a full course load. Imagine if any time Buffy needed his help, she had to barge into a classroom while he was teaching. I agree. All I was saying was that Giles didn't need to be a librarian to be Buffy's Watcher. Somnambulist's point was "As Giles only came to Sunnydale High to keep an eye on Buffy and train her, he had to LOOK like a librarian and have a lot of books there". I also disagreed with his point that Giles needed to have a lot of books there as librarians don't stock their libraries with their private collections. He may have stocked the library with a higher than usual amount of books about the occult and the like during his tenure there.

The IDW books are supposed to kinda lead to that point. IIRC, I don't think they'll lead directly to the Twilight deal, but we should see some context.

This is not the Angel I know and love. No, because this is probably a radical new direction for the character. Something which has been lacking for a long time now. I'm not saying I like it (yet), but I'm interested in seeing where this is going.

I think I'll wait and see where Joss decides to take Angel before I decide that he isn't "interested" or doesn't "understand" his own character.
