Oddly, the main thing I'm looking forward to in Season 2 (If they do it) is Andrea getting her scar/ear cut. Morbid, I know, but I think it makes her more unique, which I love.

I love me some Pixar. I've seen and enjoyed every movie except Cars (not that I didn't enjoy it, just never saw it, seems skewed a bit younger than normal Pixar fare). I always enjoy ranking my favorites so: 1. The Incredibles 2. Toy Story 3 3. Toy Story 2 4. Finding Nemo 5. Monsters, Inc. 6. Toy Story 7. Ratatouille 8. WALL•E 9. A Bug's Life N/A: 1. Cars You forgot Up! D: Haha. I just watched Up for the first time last night, and LOVED it. It had be laughing super hard at some parts; But it was also pretty sad! I wanted to burst into tears at a few scenes. I think that's what is so great about Pixar movies. They can change the tone in a matter of seconds, and it definitely works. My favorites would be: 1. The Incredibles 2. Toy Story 3 3. Monsters, Inc. 4. Finding Nemo 5. Up I've yet to see WALL•E or Ratatouille.

Don't forget all of the shorts! They do amazing short films to run before the feature presentation. <3 Aah! Right! I'll add them to the first post. And speaking of their shorts, I loved the newest one, Day & Night!

^^ Great review, Wyndam! Will you still be updating the blog with interviews and news over the break? I've been reading the comics all night, and am on issue 25! ;D Woowoo! Now that we've seen the show's format and all, what do you guys expect/want Season 2 to cover? Personally, I'd like to see issues 7-24 included, mostly. I think 13 episodes could cover 18 issues, yes? I mean, a good portion of those issues deal with Alan and his personal struggles, and he hasn't been included in to show. Take out the Alan-ness, and some of the other unneeded subplots, and I think it'd make a pretty decent Second Season. Thoughts?

If Illyria is in it: Definitely.
But either way, I'm curious as to what he's going to do next. I may not like him... At all... At the moment, but I still want to see what's next.

Here's my final prediction before the issue comes out on Wednesday: Faith, acting under instructions from Giles, and possibly helped by Xander, fights Buffy and uses the Scythe to break the Seed... all four believe they are doing the right thing. However, magic continues to operate because Willow had absorbed the power of the Seed into herself, as Aluwyn taught her. Using this power, Willow is able to reverse the Apocalypse and send all the demon hordes back where they came from, as well as cutting Twilight off from this world permanently (and freeing a very unhappy Angel from being possessed by it). But Willow can't contain the power of the Seed... it burns away her soul and replaces it. Buffy is forced to push Willow through the last portal out of our reality as it closes, in a scene very much like what she did to Angel at the end of season 2. Magic is banished from our world. The Slayers keep their powers for the rest of their lives, but no new ones are called. Each demon and vampire native to this world lives on until it is destroyed, but no new vampires can be created and no new demons can enter. Decades from now, Willow finds her way back to our world, still soulless and partly insane. When she does the vampires and demons start to be allowed back in, and a new Slayer (Mel) is called. Buffy arrives in the Frayverse, and FDW manipulates her into killing her. When everything is in place, FDW gives herself a sexual climax ("So close...") and contacts Aluwyn, asking her to give 21st Century Willow the information that leads to Buffy being brought to the Frayverse in the first place. In so doing she deceives Aluwyn, who did not want Willow to sacrifice herself. Willow then forces Buffy to kill her with the Scythe, destroying the Seed once and for all. With that, magic is permanently banished from our world. Mel and Erin didn't see any difference there on the rooftop, because Mel will continue to be a Slayer until she dies... but she will be the last of the line. The "lurks" and demons will continue until Mel and others destroy them, at which time they will be gone forever. But the fact that it was Buffy, the Chosen One, who destroyed the Seed, may provide some kind of cosmic loophole that allows her to get Willow back somehow (although their appointment in the Frayverse will still have to be kept). On to season 9. This would have been epic... I'm forwarding this to Scott.

We've been pondering in the Issue 40 thread, and I'd like to ask if your cover (For issue 40) has been altered for the public viewing, until the issue is released in January? For example: has a character been removed, altered, or not included in the version we've seen?
If you don't want to answer this, feel free, also. xD

No more Hellmouths, unfortunately. So, I've kinda been wondering about destroying the Seed vs. removing it. In both instances, it's essentially gone. However, removing it causes the world to die, whereas destroying it merely cuts off all magic. Anyone care to give this some thoughtful fanwank, or even textual explanation? I'm guessing that our world needs the Seed here to survive. (Durr. Obviously.) If the Seed is removed, our world dies. If it's destroyed, the pieces are still there, but the overall Seed isn't intact. Same as our world; Still kicking, but not fully as it was. Fanwank-y enough? xD

I know Angel didn't actually do this himself, but...
If Buffy ever forgives Angel for ANY of this... I may actually throw all of my respect for her down the Hellmouth.

Wrote this just now... Needed to reflect. xD Spoilers, for sure. Long Live Rupert Giles.
People will definitely think this is lame. Nerdy. And just plain stupid of me... I don't care. I feel the rightful need to do this. A couple days ago, the beloved character of Rupert 'Ripper' Giles was killed. Giles died trying to protect those he loved dearest, trying to do the right thing. The hard thing. I always respected and admired his ability to do those things others couldn't. It was his greatest asset, and also his downfall. I was introduced to Giles at age six. I've grown up knowing him for just about nine years now. He was always someone I had a liking for; I just couldn't help it. And it's safe to say I never appreciated him when he was still around; Something the guy definitely deserved from me. Giles was the father figure for many... And it's hard not to think the same thing. I've lost someone dear to me, and it's always proper to mourn, right? A friend is gone. A father figure. A man who occasionally wears--wore-- a wizard outfit. (Haha.)

Great finale too. *runs off to write review* -Waits- I love your reviews, Wyndam! You do a great job at remembering all of the great moments while writing; And I usually always agree with you. I'm gonna guess this now, and say the final Dale/Andrea scene is picked at your best scene? Am I right?; Huh, huh, huh?! The thing I'm most interested about: Harth kissing Mel after the battle. Was this just to throw her off guard? I was thinking, maybe to pass on a certain vision?; Like Doyle kissing Cordy, and Cordy kissing Angel? -shrugs- This part always kinda had me wondering.

Great episode.
The final minutes were the best. Andrea and Dale's interactions were so powerful. And I loved when The Doc said stuff to Carl; It was so cute! xD
Set up S2 perfectly. And I can't wait. I'mma have to read all the comics during this break...

So, what did the vampires being famous and everyone thinking Slayers were terrorists and people having Twiight's mark have anything to do with anything? I'm hoping this'll be the main plot in Season 9.

I LOVE this theory. ;D The idea of Willow going from almighty Wiccan to just plain broken, useless, is great. (Going from #1 to the broken Doll, if you will.) It would be such an interesting arc for her character. Obviously, Willow would go on the journey of gaining her abilities back, and I'd love to see Amy team up with her. Maybe Amy's influence is what turns her back to a darker path, the one we see in ToYL? So many possibilities for Willow. Her ongoing series is the one I'm looking forward to. Unfortunately there is one problem with the Willow arc. It's already been told. Buffy killed her. If Willow's future is already set...there's no reason to suspect anything that happens between now and the Fray future will be any different. So unless something happens to ensure the future is different for Willow...it's over before it even starts. So I'm not looking forward to this. In fact I think the Buffyverse is finished. By committing the cardinal sin in fiction by telling us what *will* happen makes it less appealing to see what goes on between now and then. Well, I don't think the future is ever set in stone. But I'd love for the one we've seen to come true. And there's 200 years worth of Willow stories to tell, so i think there's definitely some worth reading. We've no idea how Willow ended up how she did, how is there no story?
