I just have to say that I think what separates Caleb/Warren from Willow/Anya is the fact that both Willow and Anya eventually showed remorse for their wrong doings. We never saw any remorse from Caleb or Warren. So I think the real argument here is not gender based, but whether or not the person showed remorse and a desire for redemption. Yes, Willow and Warren both did some pretty horrible things, no argument there, but imo, the fact that Willow felt guilt about her transgressions means she is nothing like Warren. Warren, by my estimation, was nothing but a sociopathic character with no sense of right and wrong, and no moral compass whatsoever. Warren was always using people for the betterment of himself. And my dislike of Warren has nothing to do with his male gender, that makes little difference to me in my dislike of him. Had there been a female character with the same personality traits of Warren, I can honestly say I would dislike her just as much.

I dunno if this game has been started already (if it has please feel free to delete), but we used to play this on another board and it was a lot of fun, so I thought I'd bring it here as well. The premise of the game is as follows: one person posts a screencap from a Buffy episode, another person guesses the ep the screencap is from, and they post a screencap of their own, and so on. Sounds fun, right? ;D (or, hopefully you think so. ). This is a good site for Buffy screen captures: buffy.fan-sites.org/gallery/index.php?cat=3 and if you go to the bottom of the page you will find random caps from different Buffy episodes. Just hit refresh to get a new set of random caps each time. I would also recommend Screencap Paradise, but their site seems to be having issues lately. I can't get it to load for me. Ok, now that I've explained the game, I will start. Now, someone guesses which ep the cap is from, and then posts on of their own. Let's have some fun.

Given my attachment to the Buffyverse, the world I have come to know, love, and associate myself with over several years, I am, of course going to say that the world in which Buffy is the slayer is indeed the real one. Do I think asylum Buffy could be real? Absolutely. Do I think she is? No. Of course, I am aware that I am more than a little biased here, but I much happier believing in the world I know as the real one for Buffy and Co. I think "Normal Again" was simply a very clever exercise on the part of Joss and Co to throw the audience a curve ball. It certainly gives us fans a lot to discuss and debate! One argument I can come up with against asylum Buffy being real is this: no way, no how, would Buffy create an alternate reality in which her mother is dead. It just doesn't make sense. If this delusion was supposed to represent for Buffy the perfect world in which she gains comfort and acceptance, than Joyce would still be alive. I can think of no reason why Buffy would do away with her mother in her own fantasy version of life. The doc says she created Dawn to accommodate a need for a familial bond. If a familial bond was needed, while kill of her mom? Have her parents be divorced, etc? Not to mention all the other horrible things that happened in the Sunnydale world over the years. Certainly doesn't sound like an alternate reality someone would make for themselves! So, in a nutshell, given that things are so miserable and such horrible things had happened over time, the Sunnydale world has to be the real reality! They are and asylum Buffy enjoys them greatly after she regains her sanity at the end of Chosen, get's out of the hospital, goes back to her real life and starts writing the Buffy comics. Then she moves to Europe, marries Christian Slater and starts churning out grandkids for a delighted Hank and Joyce. She calls the first one Dawn, then Faith, Willow, Rupert and Alexander....

I think the biggest WTF moment was in "All The Way" with Willow and Tara's fight. I remember the first time I saw that and I was like, "WHAT THE HECK WILL? That is SOOOO not like you!" That was the start of me getting rid of Willow as my favorite character. UGH! It was just so mean! Agreed. Definitely an OOC moment for Willow. Every time I watch this scene I get so angry at Willow and feel so bad for Tara. It just makes me want to yell obscenities at the TV.

Aww, so great to see all of them hanging out together (and I have to say, Adam is perfectly nice in person, but frankly he still creeps me out just a little bit. lol. Even weirder that Adam and Amber are a couple, but they are soooooooo cute together)! Seeing this has made my day. Thanks for sharing with us.

Interesting topic. Can't wait to hear your take on Willow and Anya. That's one of the things I love about Joss. With his characters, be they white hats or villains, there is always moral gray area. Nothing in Joss' world is completely black and white, or cleanly split down the middle with clearly defined sides of good versus evil. Almost every character has been both good and bad at some point, and despite bad behavior, most of them have the ability to be good as well (well, Warren is one of the few characters in the verse whom, I would argue, is intrinsically evil. We never saw any good in him, any redeeming qualities, etc. At least I certainly didn't). I would argue that Spike and Angel are equally good and equally evil. One doesn't trump over the other in my view. Nobody in Buffy or Angel is always good. But that is what makes the show so realistic, so appealing to me, and the most touching. When the characters are good or they are hurt, it means more to me because they aren't always good. They don't have to be. We couldn't learn much from them if they were. 100% agree! ;D

A little confusing, but great as always. Didn't really care for Adelle's attitude though. Was anyone else bothered by this? She slapped Topher, and I just wanted to slap her!

Oh wow, was the scene Bones undressing Booth amazingly awkward and hot at the same time!!! They are really stroking the sexual tension between the two this season. I also was surprised that Zooey's character was weirder than Bones ("Who is this, your sister?" LMAO.) Agreed! The Undressing of Booth was awesomeness. And I loved the whole "is this your sister?" inside Joke throughout the ep. Though, I'm sure most fans watching realized that they actually are sisters. And who would've thought that there's someone out there weirder than Bones! I also love the compassion that they all showed at the end by attending the lady's son's funeral so that she wouldn't have to be alone on Christmas. Overall, a great ep! ;D

My reaction of satisfaction is a very primitive feeling of righteous revenge, which is, of course, wrong. Guilty pleasures indeed. Same here. Let me ask the harder question, would we rather have Willow not kill Warren even if it meant he got away with it? Well, to answer your question, on the most basic level, yes, I would rather have Willow off Warren than to have him go around continuing to terrorize people. It's not like that did any good, though, because he is still doing exactly that . That being said, I still don't think it was Willow's right to take matters into her own hands, and certainly not something Tara would have wanted for her.

But you just know Joss is sitting somewhere, rubbing his hands and saying "I'm gonna have Twilight be Joyce! That'll make the little bastards cry." **Cara karma** Teehee You're right, it's false hope that Joss would let an opportunity to wrench the hearts out of the audience just go by. Agreed Rebecca. Though, I don't think it would be Joyce, Andrew, because I'm pretty sure that Twilight's identity has been confirmed as masculine (that chin and jaw line just doesn't look like it would belong to our Joyce). Of course, when it comes to Joss, you never know!
