There's not too much that I can say that other's haven't already said about this episode. It was just fantastic. In my opinion, the best of the series, barring perhaps Epitaph One. I'll have to watch it again. I love the Topher development. We're starting to see him as more of a person. I don't think the progression is unnatural at all.
There are going to be some serious consequences from the death of Nolan eventually...
Oh, and the new Jed and Maurissa song (called "Drones") was so nice. They need to make an album.

I. Am. In. Love.
Wow. This episode... WOW. I have never been so impressed by this show, with the exception of Epitaph One. It can only get better from here, which is just hard for me to believe.
That is one of my top favorite shots of any Whedon show in existence. Frakes did an outstanding job directing this episode, and Jed & Maurissa cranked out another wonderfully written story for the show. Just... wow. Wow wow wow.

^^ I agree! This ranks up there with the best. I'm just completely blown away. Priya emerging from the fight, her shadow next to her painting of the bird... this is art. I'm so glad to see Dichen having more of a role on the show as well. Echo's bookmark, Boyd, Topher, Adelle. Everyone did such a fantastic job. This episode should be nominated for an Emmy.

It appears Boyd must have an interesting history. I wonder who Goose is and how he know him/her...

At first I didnt like the idea of Victor and Sierra but after seeing this episode I think they're such a cute couple. I was like "awe" when Victor said he'd wait for Sierra after her treatment. For some reason the whole Indian Chief scene made me think of Willow and Xander like that's something the would have done know idea why. This is by far my second favorite Dollhouse episode.

This was great. I wasn't all that eager for a Sierra episode beforehand but I was very impressed. Fooking dark and nasty, and yet Priya describing her love for someone she can't remember is one of the most beautiful things in Jossverse for me. I like how quickly the Dollhouse is turning to shit as well, with the dolls misbehaving and this important guy killed; it keeps picking up speed.
Where was Ballard though?

My heart broke during the little moment when you figure out they were giving Sierra to Nolan and you saw Victor waiting there. I was happy when it was Priya because I would've died if someone told Victor she wasn't coming back.

I'm late to the party (as usual), but this is by far the most moving episode of the entire series so far. My heart broke a few times. I would have never guessed that was the origin of Sierra, the way she was forced into the Dollhouse was cold, cruel, and downright evil!! The way Priya explained loving someone she couldn't remember was beautiful, and the killing of Nolan was shocking and violent in my opinion! Bloody! And Victor is the cutest thing on this planet. In short, I really loved this episode and the quality of the series improves with each passing episode. I don't want this off the air.

Clearly NOT attending to his Active, since Echo was bouncing (pardon the pun) all over the Dollhouse this episode.

Some of the things written on echo's bed/pod: attic is bad where is Caroline shoulder to the wheel ghosts victor loves sierra baby isn't mine blue skies my son killed me There was also something about Topher and a some other phrases I couldn't make out. Here's someone who figured out more: community.livejournal.com/blank_dolls/346018.html

Clearly NOT attending to his Active, since Echo was bouncing (pardon the pun) all over the Dollhouse this episode. Handlers don't usually "handle" their Actives inside the House. The ones that do usually have questionable motives (e.g. Hearn).

I'm pretty sure under where it says "Where is caroline" where you see the "I am no" it says "I am not nobody" from the original pilot

Taffy, the #1 bank robber Echo gets imprinted as in 1x04 "Grey Hour". It was her phrase to refer to "smooth sailing" or (since this is Eliza we're talking about) "five by five".

Very well written episode. I can only hope it plateaus from here. Why? I hope this isn't the peak yet, and that we go to even more challenging places. This is the second season, and from all current accounts, it's unlikely that we're getting a third season, or even the back 9 eps. At this point, I'd much rather the writers pull out all the stops and go all out. Might as well finish with a bang. I wrote plateau to demonstrate how much I loved the episode. I can't see it getting any better, thus "I can only hope" it will plateau, as opposed to going down hill. Jellymoff: thanks for the link. Those screencaps make the carvings out much better

i loved this episode. i think it finally gave all of the actives personalitys, i mean, i know the all had one before they became actives but now the "dolls" have a certain personality. And the fact it went into alot of detail with Sierra's past.

io9.com/5389631/Found that on Whedonesque. Really interesting read for such a great episode. Also, Maurissa Tancharoen says herself it was Boyd that gave Echo the card, incase anyone had doubts.

Wait... they excised a shirtless Topher scene?! WTF! We already got de-pantsed Topher (twice!)... I want my shirtless Topher! The Paul explanation was what I figured anyway, considering that Echo was in the House the entire time.
