I used to do this all the time at work. My average is anywhere from 50 - 60, but I find it hard to improve farther, probably because I make so many mistakes and it takes more time to fix them while you're typing.

My average was 63.5
So that's pretty cool. I guess playing all that Typer Shark back in middle school technology class came in handy.

I dunno, my brother-in-law is a seriously slow typer and so is my sister. I'm thinking SlayAlive is filled with big computer nerds.

i think i average about 30 wpm. not the fastest. i ignored all of my home row training from grade school. guess i can kiss my dreams of being a court room recorder good bye!

In 8th grade i used to average 65 wpm. and 61 wpm with my eyes closed. (seriously she made us do that). Now I averaged at only 46wpm. i think need some more practice.  |

Well I didn't fair as well as some others here. I got an average of 40wpm with no errors. Not bad but obviously others spend more time typing than me.
I wish I could type like my mother. She used to be a secretary for the government and she could type upwards of 160 wpm in her younger days. She got carpel tunnel and it slowed her down to about 90 wpm.

I must be improving, because I just got 46 WPM with no mistakes! This pleases me.  I got 119 WPM (adjusted for my redonkulous errors) but truthfully I've always been a fast typer. On a better keyboard I've hit ceiling at 140 WPM. I'm a maniac.  |
