Bucket List

I really like the idea of putting it all in a notebook and keeping track of things you have done. That way it's less of a list of things to do and forget about afterwards (I have awful memory for events)

New stuff because I'm bored.

1) Go to Japan and/or France and/or Venice, Italy
2) Own (or rent, it doesn't matter) a super fancy condo with a seaside view in (a nice part of) San Francisco
3) To love love (I've always hated it and it's stupid...ness)
4) Publish a children's book
5) To look back on my life and think, "That was worth it," instead of "What a waste of time."
6) Have a sleazy affair with Mario Maurer, causing him to dump his girlfriend for me
7) Have a certain someone I know find out about this sleazy affair and fight for my affection
8) For me to "choose" the certain someone I know over Mario Maurer only to change my mind the next day (so they know how it feels! )
9) To kidnap every racist troller on youtube that has stalked me, put them in KKK outfits, and drop them off in the middle of East LA
10) To be in maxim while fully clothed

My list is now officially rediculous and impossible.

1) Living happily ever after with my girlfriend and get married soon.
2) Build a house (I'm in the planning phase).
3) Finish "the book" so I can finally become a realler professor than I now am (thought not totally real).
4) Keep on working out and gaining a little more strength and speed.
5) Doing more things for others (charity work, political stuff), since I realize I have rather withdrawn into private life after being politically very active in the nineties. But I am still involved in politicizing due to what I do (teaching gender and queer studies) at the law faculty.

BTW, dusk, what is the field you want to write your phd in?

I started a little book for my list. So far it is as follows:

-Get Married
-Have Kids
-Have an effect on who a child grows up to be
-Go to a concert (Muse 2006, Within Temptation, Nightwish 2008 and 2009)
-Break a bone
-Go abroad (France 2007, USA 2010)
-Have amazing friends (Katie 2005, Amber 2010, Charlotte 2010)
-Meet someone famous
-Learn to cook
-Write a book
-Keep in contact with someone for 10+ years
-Go to a posh dance (yr11 prom 2008, yr13 prom 2010)
-Be on TV

The emphasis of my research is on the representations of women in television and film, focusing primarily on the Female Action Hero.

My BA is in English with a minor in Womens Studies and Film Studies.

As much as I would love to focus just on Buffy, it has been done so many times I'm afraid it wouldn't go very far. BUT I do talk about her quite a bit in my research. Her, Faith, Kendra, and soon I hope to incorporate Season 8 and all the new slayers as well.

But I am bouncing around an idea for a Buffy paper that hasn't been done before. . .but its hush hush. The only person who knows about my idea is Dr. David Lavery who I consulted about it. He said it hadn't been done and said I should do it.

I'll tell you about it later, Darth. (runs to a small room where no one can hear the conversation.

In my research though, I also look at The Resident Evil Series, The Terminator Films, Terminator: SCC, Dark Angel, Xena, Bionic Woman, and a few others I can't recall at the moment.

If we lived closer to one another, I'd say we should do a book together, DR

If you write the paper, be sure to show us. I always tell myself that I want to read (and I do) a serious paper/essay on Buffy, but I'm too lazy. It would be a extra incentive if I knew the author.

When I just saw this list, my brain first registrered the parts in bold.

Could be because I read about some famous person who had had a romantic relationship with a dolphin. He claimed they had had sex, and that she came onto him.

I can't think about dolphins without that creep popping into my head. Blurgh.
