Yeah, I think I agree with that but if we went by what we were told, which turns out to be not so true now, which was that Fred's soul was destroyed, it did appear that Illyria developed feelings for Wes all on her own. Now we know that fred is still in there. At least it's looking pretty likely, imo.

Ik hope Spike: after the fall will be continued...
I won't mind if they give all characters their own spin-off...more Buffyverse fun:)

I really enjoyed this issue. It had a couple of laugh out loud moments. I especially liked Spike's dream in the beginning. I guess we are supposed to assume that the guy working at "Big Bad Bath and Beyond" (hilarious by the way) was Angel? His nametag read "my name is the reason we're stuck here" so I assume it was supposed to be Angel. And the girl that Spike was with in the dream, was that supposed to be Fred/Illyria? And are we to assume that Spike and Illyria are involved now? That's sure what it looks like to me, unless I completely misread the whole thing. If that is the case then t's kinda funny, but not really surprising if you think about. Back in ATS S5 it seemed like Spike and Fred really had a connection, and they even flirted a little. Spike sort of did entertain the idea of getting with Fred (probably just to make Angel crazy, but it did seem like there was an attraction there nonetheless, like if he had the chance to get with Fred he wouldn't exactly say no). So, assuming that part of Fred's soul was left in Illyria, I suppose it makes sense that the two would hook up. I mean, they are both bad ass and work incredibly well as a team. They can relate to each other on that level, so it makes sense that there would be an attraction there. I also love that Spike referenced Xander. Shows that he hasn't forgot his time living with the Xan-man, lol. Always great to have the scoobies mentioned.

Nah, they're not involved. Brian said his fantasy featured Fred because they're in the same situation and he's worried about her, so she's in his head.

I'd love Spike: ATF to run straight into Conner:ATF where we can see how he meets up with Gwen and Nina. I know it's probably not needed to develope the story (or move it along in any fashion) but I'd just love to see it and more Gwen/Nina time would be great as Brian has made me love both characters this series. Gwen has had quite a bit of development in ATF already and I'd love to see Nina adjusting and growing as a person. Brian's idea for Nina's first night about her wolfing out intrigued me, maybe she could have done some damage and even killed a few people along the way?

Spikes been haveing "intercorse" with Spider (secretly). Non speends some time fighting and killing some slayers in befor she talks to Gunn to make some sort of exchange using Spike and Illyria, but Gunn doesn't care and stabes her. So she gos back and decides to kill them including Spider and one of spikes followers (Jerry). She forces Illyra to kneel and takes an ax to her head, but it the ax breaks. Illyria punches Non and tells her that she didn't care about the other stuff, but she made her kneel. Spike fights some of the ladies off, makes his way to Illyria, and she kisses him. Meanwhile Non is about to drain Jerry when suddenly Conner staps her in the back with a spear and sword. (which he got from Kate in ATF #7)
