Bloody Spike or "Spike - No longer a puppet" Spike: Give 'til it hurts? Spike: Efulgent Champion Of Something Loud Proud and Hellbound? Better than Billy Idol and with half the calories i have a feeling i drifted a lil there. I havent watched any spike in too long. *Cracks open the Angel series 5 dvds*

The only thing I could come up with is: Spike:Soul Quests But it sounds a bit familiar. I still love THE ADVENTURES OF SPIKE. It sounds really...adventurous. That title works for me !

Got a couple suggestions: Crimson Sky or Wicked Prayer. I'd just be happy with just SPIKE as the main title. Leave the subtitles for the arcs. And just like diabeticdude, I can't wait for this either!!

“You know the kind of guy that does nothing but bad things and then wonders why his life sucks? Well, that was me. Every time something good happened to me, something bad was always waiting around the corner. Karma. That’s when I realized I had to change. So I made a list of everything bad I’ve ever done, and – one by one – I’m gonna make up for all my mistakes. I’m just trying to be a better person. My name is Spike.”

I still love THE ADVENTURES OF SPIKE. It sounds really...adventurous. Yeah, works for me too. I'm assuming that the series will have highs and lows for Spike so if he's at a low point perhaps the upbeat The ADVENTURES OF SPIKE might not fit as well, hmm who cares. My name is Spike.” No offense but i don't really think your summary fits Spike or the buffyverse in general actually. I mean the idea of karma is good but so far we've seen really bad things happen to undeserving people and on occasion good things to bad people.

um...Kratos...have you ever watched or heard of My Name is Earl? Ah, it's a pop-culture reference? Yeah sorry, do's fly right over my head, i don't watch a lot of tv. To answer your question, yes i've seen an episode or two. I'm guessing it's from that show then?

I'd kinda like the title to not be a pop culture reference, personally. I'd like it to be a reference to Spike himself and to become it's own message that could be referenced. Original rather than echoed. I think the title should stand on its own merits, be all about Spike and not in reference to anything else.
I think that's why "The Adventures of..." and "My Name is..." are both leaving me cold. They're, well sorry, but they're a bit too derivative and unoriginal.
But the tone of the comics is really what should be reflected in the title, imo. "Adventures of Spike" makes me think camp. "My Name is..." also makes me think campy and ridiculous humor. Where's the angst of Spike, the romantic drama of his character? Because Spike, more than being funny, is also epic.
- Devotedly loved the same woman for over 100 years - Probably the only vamp to go looking for the Slayer while the others ran away - Fought for his soul - Died to save the world
He goes for the big finish and he doesn't always succeed. But he always tries and every now and then, yes he is supremely epic. Epic in that no holds barred, fists and fangs, balls to the wall way.
But I'm looking forward to seeing what Lynch pulls out of the bag. Names and titles have always been important in the 'verse. I'd try venturing a guess at a good name, but when you don't know the story...

I kinda liked "My Name is Spike" cause I think he said it somewhen in Buffy and it made me laugh. While I typed it I just kept thinking "...I'm just trying to be a better person" which made it funnier lol

And Spike will have many, many adventures, so that's what I'm leaning towards. Though it may just be SPIKE, who knows.

I like how Adventures of Spike hearkens back to old serials. Titles like Flash Gordan's Trip to Mars, The Adventures of Captain Marvel, Tom Swift and the Visitor From Planet X, or even Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor, for a recent example.
Each arc name could even be "Spike and the blahdy mc blah blah," whatever the threat is.

Well, Buffy did a lot more than slay vampires. And Spike will have many, many adventures, so that's what I'm leaning towards. Though it may just be SPIKE, who knows. Yeah, there's a simplistic beauty to that. Not to say that the title can't be funny. I mean, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", hello right? But if it goes in that direction, I think it'd be cool to have it be a new take. A new turn of phrase. That it stands on its own rather than referencing older tropes. Originality. Reimagining the trope. Heck, make it "The Misadventures of Spike".

Oh I don't want a funny title at all. I don't think THE ADVENTURES OF SPIKE is the least bit funny, it just kinda spotlights the fact that he's the headliner now. It's HIS adventures. If that makes sense.
I also kinda dig THEY CALL ME SPIKE but I don't think we'd ever use it.

The only way I would like The Adventures of Spike is if I thought it was ironic, the same way Buffy the Vampire Slayer is ironic. It's just too cheesy and wholesome for me to take seriously, especially since it's about a punky rebel vampire.

For some reason, "The Adventures of..." makes me think old school comics and a little cheesy. Maybe that's a personal bias though. It also makes me think of the kids Nickelodeon shows "The Adventures of Pete and Pete" and Cartoons like "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron". It just feels a bit childish/cartoonish for Spike. And right, not funny "haha", but funny in a quirky and meaningful way. Buffy the Vampire Slayer - ironic, subverts expectations. The light valley girl name offsetting the oh, so serious Vampire Slayer title. Angel (the series) - simple, bold. Almost deceptively simplistic because Angel is such a complex character himself. It's interesting how Angel didn't go for much of a tagline and they could have. Angel the Vampire with a Soul is just clunky. But then he doesn't really have an official title the way Buffy's character does - the Slayer. The only way I would like The Adventures of Spike is if I thought it was ironic, the same way Buffy the Vampire Slayer is ironic. It's just too cheesy and wholesome for me to take seriously, especially since it's about a punky rebel vampire. Yes, exactly. It's too cheesy and wholesome without the intended irony. And I was playing with the word "rebel" in my head when trying to think about Spike. "Rebel With a Cause" - that sort of thing.

Heck, make it "The Misadventures of Spike". Oh, oh, "The michiefs of Spike". Of course, that might be a bit too silly-sounding, but it really makes me think of a certain less-than-champion-and-more-funny-and-maybe-naughty-side of Spike.
