The fact that Spike and Darla never really had scenes together will never be forgiven. I know there were a couple that they shared, but it was mostly to do with Angel and Dru. I just would have like to have see them one on one. I think Darla treated Spike and Dru as her annoying little siblings (or children?). Either way, she probably just thought of Spike as a silly little boy. I think one of the non-canon novels ( Spark and Burn?) adressed their relationship a little; it said that Spike respected Darla but didn't trust her, and eventually left with Dru because he was afraid she would turn on them. I think Spike and Cordelia are more of a missed opportunity. Spike kept showing up after Cordelia left ( Buffy season 4 and Angel season 5) so they never got much interaction. Imagine the bitch fests those two could have enjoyed. It's also sad Spike and Lorne never got more onscreen interaction; their friendship in Shadow Puppets was brilliant.

I just would have like to have see them one on one. I imagine it would be similar to how Angel and Spike look down at each other in present day, just with less hate in their history. It seems as if Darla would look down at Spike's childishness like Angel(us) did, and that Spike might find Darla a bit uptight, like Angel. That's how I imagine it anyway. I can't recall the flashbacks they shared that well. Spike also never seemed to "click" with Darla as he did with Angelus & Dru. I think she was the one in the group he felt the least for. He hated/liked Angelus, loved Dru, but was never seen showing what he thought of Darla, did he?

Yes didn't the four of them spend a hundred years together or something like that? You'd think after a hundred years Spike and Darla would have some sort of relationship.
What really bothers me is when they use an actor from Buffy in Angel, but as a completely different character. For example Kal Penn, Jonathon Woodward, and Carlos Jacott all portayed one character on Buffy (I think all of them died on Buffy) and then reappeared on Angel as a different character. It isn;t so bad with Andy Umberger, as he was heavily made up in Buffy (D'hoffryn) and thus not recognisable as the same character as his appearance in Angel. I think it;s nice Joss using the same actors in different series, but not when they exist in the same 'verse.

Definitely should have had more Spike and Cordelia scenes. The couple scenes they did have together was such a tease. I'm watching the 1st episode of Angel right now and the vampire make-up really is awful.

I really dislike the vampire make up they used in the beginning of Ats, glad it got more Buffy-like eventually. I get that they tried to experiment of whatever, but those tiny smooth wrinkle-things Angel had in the beginning were just silly in comparison to what he used to have.
Still think the vamp make up was generally better over at Btvs, but I haven't compared all the vamp faces we see on both shows.

I think I would've liked to see Angel do laundry. We see Harmony pick up his dry cleaning in S5, but how did he do the laundry before? Does he frequent the 24 hr laundromat? How does he get demon blood out of the leather? Does he buy his clothes online to stay out of the sun? Yeah, these are the questions that run through my head. Except we do see Angel do laundry. In season 2, the episode "The Trial" shows Wesley and Cordelia listening to a machine they can hear downstairs, and then Angel comes up with some clothes fresh from the dryer, which we really enjoys..except for the need to iron everything because they're wrinkled. He said there was an old washer and dryer in the cellar. Angel's specific vamp face changed from big and bulky - puffed eyebrow ridges in the pilot, shown here: www.buffyworld.com/angel/screencaps/A001/1x01CO1374.jpgto a fantastic, smooth, refined look from the remainder of season 1 (think those great vampface morphs in "The Bachelor Party" (where my avatar image is from), "She" and "War Zone") shown here: my Angel Avatar imagewww.buffyworld.com/angel/screencaps/A013/1x13SHE2324.jpg]until part way through season 2, where by the time "The Shroud of Rahmon" came on, it was changed again and that change stayed for the remainder of the series, shown here: farm3.static.flickr.com/2739/4255230124_65684ec9fa.jpg What really bothers me is when they use an actor from Buffy in Angel, but as a completely different character. I think it;s nice Joss using the same actors in different series, but not when they exist in the same 'verse. You would really hate the CSI: franchise, because they not only re-use actors by having them appear on each show, but if enough years pass by, they'll have one actor appear years later on the same series as a different person, and there's no prosthetics, no 'he's a demon' or 'he's an alien' excuses there!

^^ Reminds me of Lily's Dad in How I Met Your Mother we're introduced to in season 5. He was a mental person on a bus in season 2!
-EDIT
I checked IMDB, and he's only on there as Mickey's dad. Maybe it was some other bald dude in season 2.

^ I just tried to investigate that and read what happens in the end of season five, I didn't want to know! I hate accidentally finding things out before I watch the episodes... no more investigating for me.

She was a random valley girl on Buffy (in the very first episode she discovered Darla's victim's corpse) and then she was some kind of psychic friend of Lorne's on Angel season 2 (completely unrelated, but I love Persia White ).

^I'm going to give you karma if you're a Girlfriends fan and if you're not I still give it to you for liking Persia White. The only time one actor on both shows as a different character bothered me was Knox. CWDP people was such a great episode and then Conviction comes on and there Holden Webster. WTH?

It took me forever to finally decide that they weren't the same character. I assumed Holden had been brought back to life somehow, and was spying on Angel for some evil reason, or something. I didn't think they'd be that lazy, and didn't bother to get someone else. Don't get me wrong, the actor fit the role, but still, lazy.
Like the cutting-of-hair-girl in season 4 of Buffy who ended up as Wesley's girlfriend. I was confused about her too.

^^That was the same girl? o.0 Didn't notice. It really is confusing when they reuse actors to play different minor characters, when they reuse actors to play the same minor characters all the time (ex: Anne is on Angel, and appeared on a couple of episodes of Buffy as Chanterelle/Lily, but was the same character. We see this kind of thing happen all the time, so when the same actor plays two different roles -both of which are characters we don't see often- it's hard to tell that it's actually supposed to be two different characters). And Moon Eyes, I am a Girlfriends fan and I will karma you for also liking the show

^^ Ditto. I was so confused when we saw "Anne" in the beginning of season 3. I ended up thinking that it was the same girl, even tough Buffy didn't recognize her. Then I was very suprised that Angel didn't remember her, so I started to have my doubts until she mentioned that she had been a vamp groupie or whatever and then stopped when she met a real vampire. I then gathered that yes, she's the same girl, but she easy to forget, at least to Buffy & Angel.
I've always wanted her and Spike to meet up again.
"Hey, don't I recognize you, luv?" "NO! I mean, no, I don't think so." "Your scent reminds me of something..." "I have to go."

I then gathered that yes, she's the same girl, but she easy to forget, at least to Buffy & Angel. This was addressed years ago in the "Angel: The Casefiles" book. The consensus among the writers was that it would not make much sense for either Angel or 'Anne' to remember each other, based on the simple fact that they met for all of 15 seconds, and spoke hardly more than a sentence to each other three years before. Not to mention that 'Anne' was going by a different name and completely different look. Common sense won over what would have been a bit of silly television continuity for viewer's sake and it was the logical choice. Spike would have been the same - she would be more likely to remember him on account of it being a traumatic event, but Spike did nothing more than growl and grab her, again for not even 15 seconds, this time six years before since it would be ANGEL season 5 as opposed to season 2 when "Blood Money" aired. He wouldn't have remembered her at all.

^^ I agree, it makes sense that they don't remember. But it confused me a lot until I came to that conclusion. They had a golden opportunity to make it a awkward hilarious scene when they finally do remember, yet they don't? Didn't Spike bite her? I was sure of it. He might recognize people he bit but who got away. But that might be a stretch. That he was humiliated in front of her and the other vamp-wanna bes might actually make him want to forget her. When looking at the screencaps, I actually think I prefer the second look. The last one remind me too much of the Buffy look, in a "That's a lame copycat-attempt"-way. The first and second look is more reptile like, which I dig. I'm very Hagrid-like(Harry Potter) when it comes to dragons, so that make up looks good in a way.

Didn't Spike bite her? I was sure of it. Sorry, yes he did. He was on her neck when Buffy surprised him by holding Drusilla hostage with a stake and Spike told everyone to stop. 'Chantarelle' then sort of stumbled out of the way.

I always assumed it was Anne in Angel, it would make sense for her to go on to help homeless kids in LA. And also she wasn't surprised when she saw vampires.
Angel drinks pigs blood, and when he starts drinking human blood he starts wanting to eat peope again. So why is it in Buffy he's always drinking human blood from the hospital? Maybe I just need to rewatch the bit in Angel where he talks about not drinking human blood...

I was always hoping Anne would mention something about knowing a slayer or whatever and Angel would react and then they'd have an 'ohhh' moment

Maybe I just need to rewatch the bit in Angel where he talks about not drinking human blood... It's one of those things they didn't really establish in the beginning. Angel had packets of blood in his refridgerator in his Buffy season 1 episode, and was trusted to return some other packets that Buffy prevented from being stolen from a hospital in 'The Dark Age' from season 2, but in 'The Prom' in season 3, he was paying a butcher for bags of pigs blood, and this was only after Buffy started feeding him some of the same when she was nursing him back to health. Then of course, there was a bit of a callback to that scene with packets in his fridge, since he had some of them in his fridge in season 1 of his series.
