AndrewCrossett posted this link in the Buffy #40 thread, which included exciting news for Dollhouse fans: The article hints that this will happen next year. I'm so excited!

That's crazy. I thought Joss said there was no way there'd be a Dollhouse comic?
Also, I can't really imagine where it could go considering things seemed to end on such a note of closure. If they do it though and it is good, I'm excited because I absolutely adore the concept.

hmmmm.....interesting. I don't know how the heck Joss is going to be able to find time to do that as well with his busy schedule, but if it happens i'll be first in line to buy it! *excited* ;D

I don't know that I would really be all about a monthly but i would absolutely buy a trade size mini series/GN in a heart beat! If only to see what Joss' true vision was for the series...assuming that is the model they will follow with the comic. But why wouldn't it be...right?

A mini series would be cool but not an ongoing. Dollhouse had it's run imo. But an ongoing Firefly series? I'll dream. I agree, I love Dollhouse but it doesn't have enough storyline to it for an ongoing series imho.

Basically changing how soon things happened to flesh it out more. Unless they are just focusing on the people from the future like the one attached to the Season 2 DVD is supposed to be doing.

I'm totally on board for this but I'm not sure how it would work. Possibly going back to the end of 'The hollow men' and seeing what exactly happened in the ten years leading up to the Epitah episodes? I REALLY wanna find out what happened with Ivy.

I REALLY wanna find out what happened with Ivy. This so hard. Seriously. I loved Ivy and always wanted them to do more with her than they actually did. Not knowing whether she managed to live, if she died, if she was imprinted or what just drives me crazy.

About the DVD bonus comic ...
Ivy plays a part in it.

I think the series had ended right where i wanted it to be....however I would love the comics to pick up from "The Hollow Men" to fill in the gaps.

I would love to know what happened in those nine to ten years between "The Hollow Men" and "Epitaph One," but if picking up where it left off is meant as post-"Epitaph Two" I do feel there are still a great deal of stories to be told, or at least enough for a mini-series.
Alpha is still out there, and now possibly evil again, but regardless, there is a lot of story there. Echo has to leave the Dollhouse eventually, and I assume there would still be a lot of post-Rossum clean up waiting to happen. Adelle, Zone, and the post-Rossum generation: where civilization starts to rebuild itself and experience growing pains. Laurence Dominic. Enough said. Ivy. (This is considering I have yet to read the DVD comic)
The biggest challenge to a Dollhouse comic is how to depict different personas. Changing fonts would get old very soon. I believe this was Joss' train of thought back then. However, a comic focusing just on the post-apocalypse world of these characters would certainly be an awesome story to see unfold.

Check out Buffyfest's interview with Scott Allie at NYCC 2010 HERE. It includes some tidbits about the Dollhouse comics. Some more info can also be found HERE.

If they're picking it up where it left off, I wonder if they'll be exploring the new, saved future, or the story of how Rossum still took over the planet?

I feel like both stories could be really intriguing to read and I'd love to read them both honestly. But they probably won't do both.

I'm more interested in the Post-Hollow Men story. I think the future was handled well, and I can live with Echo going to sleep as the last shot we get chronologically.

There was such tension between them. I'd honestly be surprised if Claire was seen again. I think we're more likely to just get them wiping Whiskey down from another imprint that is set to attack them Unless there was something shown in the flashbacks of Epitaph One that I'm forgetting which is likely and if so then just kidding.

Dr Saunders is still about while the world falls apart. She treats Caroline after she returns from safe-haven, and is treating Topher after his breakdown.

Since we're on the topic of amazing Claire, I'd love to see a one-shot focusing on her. She has a handful of potential stories, IMO. - One focusing on her, alone in the Dollhouse. - One about her 'self seeking' time, which is kinda still up in the air.
I'd be a happy camper if something like that happened. ;D
