I'm interested to know if anyone has favorites among the minor villains in the Buffyverse, some of which are really colorful and engaging. I'm thinking more of actual bad guys, not so much the comic relief villains like Harmony. Are there any of them that deserve more attention, that might be used in new stories, that might have the potential to be "big bads"?
BTW ... don't forget about EU characters, like Camazotz, who appears in "The Lost Slayer."

I really liked the Gorch brothers in Bad Eggs. "Alright, I'm gonna' beat you like a redheaded stepchild." We get to see Lyle Gorch again in Homecoming. Wish they would have brought him back again after that.

Wish they would have brought him back again after that. I too liked the Gorch brothers. At least they (and their family) got some attention in the Chaos Bleeds comic book prequel to the video game. So that was cool. And Vamp Tara! = WIN!

I also thought that Mr. Trick was pretty cool, I'd have liked to see him working on his own more.
I also liked Holden Webster, I thought he and Buffy had an interesting rhythm, there would have been no room to make him anything important, but I just thought he was awesome.

I really liked Holden too.
I also really liked the adorable little kids in Gingerbread. I think there could have been more episodes on the 'fairy-tales are real' thread.

Yes, Mr. Tick was great! I was sorry when he died. I almost hated Faith for doing that (don't tell her). Here's a thought. If Mr. Trick had survived ...
After the Mayor dies, what happens to the Sunnydale government? Who's the new mayor? Maybe Mr. Trick could be a transitional figure, connecting the old administration with the new?
Sweet? Is he a villain? If you don't summon him, he'll never bother you. Am I wrong? He was a great character, but I don't think of him as a villain.

what about veruca i would consider her a villian i didn't like her coming in and messing things up for Oz and it was kind of emplied that she did care what she did in her wolf form, she didn't like to be locked up.

That's true. Has anybody done any fanfic about Veruca's backstory? That'd be interesting.
The way she's written, it seems like Veruca was a ... is there a word? She's an adjunct to another character, not a full character on her own? She exists for the purpose of illustrating something about Oz. Therefore, while I don't find her character admirable, I don't think we can blame her for messing things up for Oz. She just brought out something that was latent in him.
I can't see her being a big bad, or being the lieutenant of a big bad. She likes to do her own thing. She might become a successful musician, though.

Oh I forgot about Sweet and Holden. I'd consider Sweet a villain. He was making people dance until they burst into flames. He could always change his mind on the whole summoning thing. Unless that's the only way he can actually come. I can't remember if they ever specified on that.
Olaf was pretty good too in Triangle.

I'm trying to think but all I can come up with is Ethan, Vamp-Willow, Andrew, Amy, Jonathon etc and they all did come back for more episodes...
And I know he's not really a villain but it would have been awesome to see the Cheese guy more. He could have been written to become a big bad who haunts the scoobies nightmares...? Maybe?

It's not something I want but I must point out that at the end of Teacher's Pet there was still an undiscovered unhatched egg. Why do we never discover what happened with that?

And oh, The Gentlemen! So scary! And weird/funny that they showed up in the Spangel/dream e-comic.
Love Der Kinderstod too. And the little fear demon from Fear, Itself.

I get this visceral negative reaction to her, much like the reaction I have to Parker. Ugh. What about Sunday and her gang? If Sunday wasn't so petulant, she might've been a pretty good big bad. Her vamp gang provided some great comic relief as well.

He kidnapped Dawn and wanted to force her to marry him. That's a villain-move to me. The way she's written, it seems like Veruca was a ... is there a word? She's an adjunct to another character, not a full character on her own? One/two dimensional?

Ethan definitely should have been brought back more. Anytime he showed up it was to cause trouble which I loved to watch.
I hate how they left us hanging with the Marcie thing in "Out of Mind,Out of Sight". I was thinking they were going to bring her back. She would have made a great Big Bad.
