Yeah they suit the portrait's colours great! Then again they do have some proffesionals working on the front cover's design dont they ?

Tomorrow! Woo hoo! I won't be able to get it until Thursday but still lol. The borders look so cool and colourful! Love the greeny colour on the Foster cover! And I've avoided the preview as always.

I really like Foster's #12 cover, but I'm with you on the rest of 'em. That, plus that I'm really beginning to like Jeanty's art, has me buying all the variants for this arc, along with the regular Foster covers. But since I'm obsessive enough that I have to have a matched set, I'm also going back now and buying all the variants I missed (5 still left to get)...

I'll keep this as non-spoilerish as I can for now...
Just read the issue really quickly... and it's definitely picked up some from the last issue. As for why the vampires want the Scythe... let's just say that some of you were right on... so kudos on the guesses. It has somewhat renewed my faith in Drew Goddard.

Since the issue is on sale today, you can be free to discuss everything in detail. This is the topic for it after all ;D Anyway as far as I'm concerned...it's still a couple hours to early to go to the comic book shop (9:30am Pacific Time). I'm waiting with baited breath! I want to read it right away lol!! PS - I -knew- that's what the vamps wanted!!

As soon as I get a credit card I'm going to buy the TPBs on the internet.

Wow it was tough watching a slayer go down like that. I need May here now. I'd say that I suspected that's what they wanted the Scythe for, but I'm not 100% convinced that a complete reversal of the spell is the major blow promised in #15. I agree that it was a surprising moment, but I've to say that it was timed perfectly, given her almost prophetic (and some may say, arrogant) remark just before it happened. But it's good to know that the slack's been picked up, and that the writing's tighter in this issue. I especially liked the exchange between Willow and Satsu. After #12, it was kinda iffy how Willow would react to Satsu, but I thought it was really cool that they had the talk. Another thing I noticed in my first run through the issue: Lotsa "taboo" words were used; i.e. moor, orientals, [word which also means "dam" that is being censored], yellow to denote skin color... etc. It was actually refreshing... being gay and Asian and all. These are real issues, and I think exploration of limits through dialogue (even if it's in speech bubbles) is better than never having any at all.

I loved Andrew this issue. It's really awesome when they use him in a "THE MORE YOU KNOW" situation. He pops in explains something and then pops out. Also KUDOS for making a reference to "Love at first bite". I used to watch that movie all the time.

I cannot wait for this issue to come to my door! So Satsu bit it, huh? Where'd you get that from? I don't remember seeing that anywhere in the most recent posts. A slayer bites it, yes, (wow, pun in reverse?) and she's Asian, but the most eventful thing that happens to Satsu is the lack of post-coital glowiness. That and she and Willow probably chat about how the Buff is in bed (at Willow's behest). Oh Willow... I love you so... even in your ridiculous S8 outfits. I've been trying to make "shoe sale noises" for a while now... it's not sounding quite right... and that just looked weird when I typed it, given you have context for it. Oh well...

Also KUDOS for making a reference to "Love at first bite". I used to watch that movie all the time. It was great seeing him back in his storytelling element. Now, I wished there was a way to revisit the Vulcan/volcanologist joke without it seeming old. *sigh* It was a great moment while it lasted. He would wear something that erm... homage-ish though.
