7, 4, 5, 3, 2, 1, 6. I hated the 4th movie, but I loved the book. I always thought the 6th book was the most boring.

I don't think I could rank them, but I'd say 3 is my favorite. 5 was the best movie IMO.

6th was the best, though if the forest scenes in the 7th had been cut down, the 7th would take that title.

OoTP! It may be the longest book, but it's definitely my favorite.

I can't really remember the books exactly. My fave prolly isn't 6. It's probably 4 or 5. And I, too, HATED the 4th movie. The 5th had way too many things cut out as well. The first three movies were great. I expect the 7th to be the best since they are doing Part One and Part Two.

My favorite is 3. My favorites are in this order: 3, 6, 4, 7, 2, 5, 1
I really love them all. I really need to read books 5 & 6 again. I've read book 5 twice, and book 6 once. I'm in the process of rereading book 7, and then I'm going to reread 5 & 6. I practically have books 1-4 memorized. lol.

And to mention the movies, they're definitely not as good as the books, and movies 4 & 5 were disappointing.
My favorite movie so far has been 2. That movie was so well done, it actually did the book justice. I also enjoyed 3, although some minor things annoyed me. 4 was a disappointment because it cut out a lot of the stuff I wanted to see (the Quidditch cup game & the House elves). And 5 was annoying because it was so choppy. And no Quidditch!!!! That's what annoyed me the most. I also am not a fan of how the last talk between Harry & Dumbledore was shortened down. That was one of the most important speeches that Dumbledore gave Harry, and they chopped it down. Luna was the only saving grace of this movie, along with Ginny becoming a powerful witch.
I hope movie 6 is much better than the last two.

7, 3, 5, 4, 6, 2, 1
Hated the first two movies (besides of the gigantic continuity error: if Harry sees Quirrell dying he should see the Thestrals by CoS), loved the third one, the fouth sucked hard and the fifth is my favourite.

For me the 7th and 5th books are my absolute favorites. After those two it goes 3, 6, 4, 2 & 1.
I actually voted for Order of Phoenix. Since Deathly Hallows wasn't an option I went with my second top pick. I still believe outside Voldemort that Umbridge was the most wicked baddie to grace the pages of Harry Potter.

Mmm... It would be... the 7, 5, 3, 4, 1 &2, 6 there's no big difference between them... I love Harry and Hermione... and they're really good in the saga...
Oh... the 7 WITHOUT the epilogue... that's just bad fan fiction (in my personal opinion)
It's funny how the 6th is my leas favorite, but i think the movie is going to rock! Well, it's dark... if it wasn't gor Hogwarts 90210... c'mon... the whole romance in one book!!!
Well, the movies are a complete different story... if you just follow the movies, they have sense, but no Marauders!!!
Tonks rules by the way!!! yay!!

BOOKS:
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is the best, in my opinion. Just a fantastic work.
If I had to ATTEMPT to rank, it might go...
6 > 5 > 7 > 4 > 2 =1 > 3
...though they're all so close that I'm not sure that's an accurate rank. Six is the best written of the series in my opinion, but all of them are so great that it's terribly hard to try to figure out which is second, third, fourth, etc. All of them have nagging little flaws that bother me, like the draggy woods section in Book 7 and the boring World Cup chapters of Book 4... but still, they're just so good.
Why did you ask this? Now I'm going to go on a re-read! :-P
As far as the movies, the fifth is by far the best. For me, it works the best as a film. It condenses the story best, is the most visually dynamic, and is just by far one of the best book to film adaptations I've seen. Ranking the movies is a lot easier
MOVIES: 5 > 4 > 2 > 1 > 3

The Goblet of Fire. I couldn't put this book down.
Too bad the movie sucked. So many things were cut out. It drove me insane. For some reason, I felted insulted when I watched the movie in theaters.
