Looking over these polls, I see I voted but cannot remember who! Lol.
I think I did vote for Tara, but I am going to have to change my mind and say Joyce now. While both deaths were pretty sudden and unexpected, Joyce's has seemed to have a longer lasting impact on me. Loving this show and becoming attached to the characters, a parental character like Joyce really hit me.
Spike. I had a massive Spike fangirl phase when I saw Chosen for the first time. I was EXTREMELY pissed that Buffy and Spike didn't get together properly and I actually came to the conclusion that season 7 was the worst season. I bawled when Spike died.
Good thing I matured.

Tara hands down with Fred a close second. Tara's was so sudden and didn't really even give you a chance to feel for her...well untill the episode was over...Then it hits you. And they bring it up so much. Showing Tara's Grave. The first talking about her to Willow. I think Alyson did such a good job acting so hurt of losing her that it just got me.

I voted Buffy cause her leap in "The Gift" really got to me. The death that really affected me the most was Fred. When "A Hole in the World" first premiered I wasn't reading any spoilers and even though the previews to the episode was dramatic I thought no way. Fred isn't going to die. The ending really did shock. I just kept waiting in "Shells" for the guys to get her back somehow. Then I finally accepted. It was really sad I felt sorry for poor Wesley finally getting his girl only for her to leave.
