Yeah, Wyn, there is. Borders sometimes has it, B&N usually doesn't. Comic shops don't unless you order it. I got mine from good ol' Amazon.

I usually see the Vol. 2 HC at my comic shop or at Books A Million, but never have any luck with the first. It is never in stock at TFAW either. I'll probably grab it from Amazon one day.

I wish BKV was still writing it. Loved Joss's arc, but Terry Moore's style doesn't really fit with the comic.

i haven't really had any problems with vol. 3 as of yet the writing isn't what it was, but it's okay, i had a harder time adjusting to the art
i mean, really, did Victor always look like that?

Humerto Ramos takes some getting used to. I like his art, but its kind of jarring at first. There are times when I'm like "who is that"?

so, uh, this zombie thing is a little weird for Runaways i'm not really enjoying Runaways like i used to
it used to be more about the journey, now it just seems bleh i hope Terry Moore can fix it

I wish someone else was writing it. I wish someone else was illustrating it. Vaughan's Runaways was a groundbreaking, great comic. Joss's Runaways was a great comic. Moore's is just unreadable.

I lost interest in this series when Vaughn left and then dropped it completely after Joss' run. I'd like to get back into it oneday... would it be worth my while? I heard that it's devolved into a generic superhero book and the characters are like parodies of themselves.

I'll put it this way. Runaways was my favorite comic that wasn't Buffy or Angel. I followed it religiously. I loved it as hard as a fan could. And then I dropped it after Moore's first issue. Really, really that bad.

Really, really that bad. Yeah, it was one of my favourite comics as well. I still think the first volume is one of the greatest comic stories of all time.

You should come back and tell us what you think about it. I've read Joss' issues and I have to say that I'd love to get my hands on the other stories. Actually I've seen the volume one hard cover at my local comic book store but I sadly can't afford to spend that kind of money right now. I did however put it on my birthday list, so maybe I'll get lucky.

Well I finished the first two HC's this week at the beach (Vol. 1 #1-18 and Vol. 2 #1-12). I immediately went to Amazon and ordered the 3rd HC (Vol. 2 #13-24), Joss's run (Vol. 2 #25-30) and then the next HC that follows his (I think Vol. 3 #1-6). Absolutely loved what I have read so far. Love the plot, the characters, the way BKV handled each characters powers or lack of power (in Chase and Gert's cases). The twist at the end of the first Vol. was completely unexpected (I thought Nico was the mole). My favorite character so far is Chase. I love how he is completely powerless (especially after issue #18) and has probably saved the others the most. Might also be because he is the only guy on the team, before Vic. I love all of the characters though. It's also great to see the Runaways interact with other Marvel heroes like Captain America, Wolverine, Iron Man and BKV's take on Spider-Man was hysterical. Molly's interaction with the other heroes is especially great, and her scenes are consistently funny. Nico stepping into the leadership role at the end of the first volume was another highlight, as was Gert and Chase growing closer. I'm dying for my order to come in, as I really want to read the rest. It sounds like Vol. 3/Moore's run isn't that great, but I am still going to give it a shot. BKV is officially my favorite comic book writer, along with Brian Lynch. Y: The Last Man is my favorite series after After the Fall, No Future For You is my favorite Season 8 arc, and now Runaways is right up there as well. BKV is just awesome. Has there been any news about when his run is ending, who is taking the reins next, or if BKV is going to come back?

In my opinion, Joss' run isn't that great either. Love BKV's Runaways though.

I haven't read the original volumes yet but I have read Joss' issues and I thought they were fabulous. Obviously I don't have anything to compare it to, so for all I know his work is let down from what BKV did, but I don't think you'll be disappointed Wyndam. The story was solid, the dialogue was clever, and Joss' run was good enough to get me interested in reading more.

Did anyone else notice a thing in Joss' issues? A lot of characters died. I'm just sayin'.

Those two, and the guy who never misses. I guess people usualy say "a few" when it's not more than three.
6 issues, 3 dead (and probably a few in the big fight) is a lot for me tough.
Although, if you divide them it's only half a dead per issue, which sounds better.

In my opinion, Joss' run isn't that great either. Love BKV's Runaways though. i don't remember much of Joss' arc, but i remember enjoying it the only problem for me was the huge delays that like to follow Joss around Anyone read the latest issue yet? (spoiler free don't worry) I LOVED it. It's got back its mojo (thank the heavens). It's two different stories. I especially love the second one. It's 2 different writers. I'm hoping they continue with the run. Although when did Karolina and Nico kiss? I thought there was an almost kiss and that was it. Was there a story that I missed somewhere? i haven't read the latest issue yet, saw the preview and could tell it was better than the previous issues of volume 3 i just looked back at that issue and it is just an almost kiss silly writers
