My two favorite characters. Anya and Illyria are right after them. xD I think Tara and Fred had kind of the same personality, and I loved them both so much. If I put in the poll, ' Can't choose.' It would be full of cant choose answers. xD Im going with Fred...

Tara. Joss seems fascinated with this "genius"/"off with the faeries" dichotomy, best represented by Fred and Firefly's River, but I can't sympathize with those kind of characters at all.

I really couldn't pick. I love them both.
Enisy, you don't like Fred? Really? Fred and Tara are alike in a lot of ways.

I don't dislike her, but I just can't connect with her the way I can with other characters. Tara may have Fred's kindness and reliability and hidden backbone, but she's only extraordinary in the way that, for example, Xander and Dawn are in Potential. Not in the "I can kill you with my brain" way that Joss seems so enamoured with.

My favorite character is Tara, but I choose Fred, since she is the better character in the way that we saw more of her. We didn't get to know Tara as well as we got to know Fred, so in that way fred is better.
But I like Tara more.

Fred. I like Tara and I think she is an excellent character, but I've always been a huge Fred fan ever since I first watched the end of Season 2.

Although I really enjoy Tara, I had to choose Fred. Tara really didn't become her own character until Season 6. Fred was really well developed throughout her entire time on the show.

Oooh this is tough. I relate to them both hugely, and they're tied on my favorite characters list. (Only second to Anya, of course ) But in this case I think I'm gonna have to go with Tara. <3

Fred. I disliked Tara until her last season. But that last season is when she really made the cut for me. Amber really shined.

Fred alll the way. When Tara died I was a little upset, but more in shock. Fred hadn't even died yet in Hole in the World, but when she says her speech in the lab about how she's too good to die from some monster flu it breaks my heart every single time.
I like Tara, but I found she is often just there as a supporting figure to Willow, even in season 6 when she gets a bit more personality, she's still mainly there to fill out Willow's personality.

I chose Tara because of her role in S6 of Buffy when she is practically the only character standing on her own two feet. Her relationship with Buffy in this season endears her to me big-time. She proved once and for all that she was the mommy of the group and I love her for that.

I love them both, but had to go with Fred, because she truly became an integral part of the team, whereas Tara was mostly there for moral support. Love them both though, two neat ladies, both with some awesome nerdy lines!

Fred, definitely. Tara wasn't three-dimensional till Season 6.
