I thought that was the final one, as well.

That's a brand new cover and is not from an old issue. Therefore I'm positive it will be the final cover

Are all Buffy coimcs part of the Omnibus: Volumes? like the first Buffy comic? Yep! It has every comic, 1-50 something. and then the extras like the Jonathan, Giles, Willow and Tara, and the other odd-ones-out like Chaos Bleeds and ones that were in Previews Monthly magazines. There are a two or three that aren't collected i think though. And they go in order by when they appear in season. Like, the last 8 issues (50 something-58, maybe) were set pre-season 1, so they were printed in the first one.

do you know wich one were not reprinted in the omnibus? is " broken bottel of the djin " featured in one of them? Broken Bottle of Djinn wasn't collected ... considered more "Tales of the Slayers" than "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", which I can understand. Also absent: - Rogues Gallery - b&w story published over 12 issues of Previews magazine back in '99 & early '00. - I've been meaning to ask if the short prologue to Haunted, originally published in Dark Horse Extra promo flyers, will be in Volume 7. It was included in the trade paperback of Haunted, but not in Omnibus 5. It's actually set well after Haunted, so I can see the problems in trying to fit it into an chronological format of the omnibus. I guess it could fit in early in Vol 7, but it doesn't really stand alone. In any case, luckily it's still available online here: www.darkhorse.com/Features/Animations/264/Buffy-The-Vampire-Slayer-Haunted

Yes, this is the final one to complete the collection of the original Buffy issues. It will include the one-shot "Reunion" and the three-issue "The Death of Buffy" stories, which take place between the 5th & 6th seasons. There could very well be omnibus collections in the future for Season 8, but nothing has been talked about and I bet they would be a long time coming ... certainly not while the current trade paperbacks are selling well.

Death of Buffy is also made into a TPB, which I bought and liked a lot. It has some extra artwork in it too, so good on that. There's unfortunately only 7 Omnibuses, but there are some more Angel ones to come out, I believe. If you're really into the comics, there's a larger book called "BtVS: Panel to Panel" that has a lot of insight from the writers and illustration/drawing teams. It shows a lot of behind the scenes stuff, like how the panels were worked together and how everything was worked into the storylines of the actual series. It's much cheaper if you buy it online, I've attached a link to Amazon as well: www.amazon.com/Buffy-Vampire-Slayer-Panel-Horse/dp/1593078366/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1237728968&sr=8-1

The "Look Inside!" feature for this omnibus is now up at Amazon: www.amazon.com/Buffy-Vampire-Slayer-Omnibus/dp/159582331X/The table of contents confirms the the following stories, in this apparent chronological order: Buffy #39 : Night of a Thousand Vampires Buffy #40-42 : Ugly Little Monsters Chaos Bleeds Lost & Found Spike in Rock n Roll All Night (And Sleep Every Day) (from Dark Horse Extra #49-50) Willow and Tara : Wilderness Buffy #43-45 : The Death of Buffy Reunion Buffy #46 : Withdrawal Buffy #47-50 : Note from the Underground Some interesting things to note, a couple of which will require some tweaks to my timeline: - the Haunted "prologue" from Dark Horse Extra #39-41 isn't included, which I thought it might be. It takes place a while after the main Haunted story (Omnibus 5), since Angel is visiting Faith in prison.
- Rock n Roll All Night is placed between Seasons 5 & 6, which makes me look at Spike's visit to the Summers household in a new light. I previously assumed it was during Season 6 and he was there for a Buffy booty call. But now it could very well be that he's just checking up on Dawn, which is kinda sweet.
- this also places Wilderness between Seasons 5 & 6, even though the inside cover of these issues clearly say "during" the 6th season. I wonder if it's just a mistake, or a retcon.

Holy new cover! I searched all the other places--is the broken picture frame just on Amazon or is some sort of typo-ish thing?
Interesting.

I think that's just the original cover they were provided with back when the book was solicited. The final version should be the one with the gang posed, weapons in hand ... that's what's shown with the Look Inside! scans, too. Amazon probably just needs to update the thumbnail they are using.

Gotcha Gotcha. I am not sure which one I prefer, I wish there were variants, like with the single editions. Oh well, can't wait!

Some questions for Scott. Hope he knows.
