Peoples views on angel ?

K im coming to the end of Buffy im like 2 episodes from the end, then ill read the comics up till the last one i got !
But i was thinking of watching Angel, and im not sure if its any good ? Does it have the same depth and metaphors that Buffy had ? Peoples views on it ?

I didn't really like the character of Angel when he was on Buffy.If it wasn't for Cordelia,I probably wouldn't have checked Angel the Series.I ended up not only really liking the show,but Angel the character as well.
I would recommend watching Angel.

My favorite show ever. I really like the way Angel's character grew on the show, he really came into his own. Plus an awesome supporting cast.

There are people who like "Buffy" who don't like "Angel". And there are people who like "Angel" who don't like "Buffy". But it's pretty safe to assume that if you like one, you'll probably like the other. I love 'em both, but if you put a gun to my head and absolutely forced me to choose one or the other, I'd have to say I very slightly prefer "Angel"--and that's coming from someone who thought he was a pretty dull, one-note character on "Buffy". But he's much more interesting on his own show, and the cast around him is fantastic, too.

Yeah, in a way I'd say I prefer the cast dynamic on Angel over the one on Buffy at times. Fred, Wes, Cordy, Gunn, and Lorne are all awesome together. Plus, Lilah

i think angel had alot more depth than buffy ever did and i love the show every episode drags you in and its worth watching i did the same thing as you i had all the buffys and watched them and LOVED them but when i was done i thought about watching angel i really didnt think i would like it and i was right.............. i loved it lol
oh and also angel/david hot!

I think Angel is a fantastic show! If you like Buffy, definitely 100% give Angel a go. The character really comes out of his shell so to speak in his own show. I am doing the same as you. Watching all of Buffy, then reading season 8, then I'll move onto Angel. Last episode I watched was 'Lessons'.

I loved Angel personally. Definitely worth watching. You learn a lot more about many characters, plus you meet some AWESOME ones. So yeah, worth the watch, 110%.

What's great about Angel is that every episode is consistent in terms of quality. In my opinion, Angel had better special effects and better fight scenes.

Watch it the whole way through. Then, alternate with Buffy, so you get the full awesomeness of the crossovers.

It's worth watching Angel as it's very likely you'll like at least some of it, and as you can see... you may also end up prefering it to Buffy. I certainly do.

I think I fall into the group that likes Angel but not so much Buffy. I've seen and own all the season's of Angel but have only seen the seventh season of Buffy. But I am reading Season 8 and enjoying it.

Anyway, to me Angel was one hell of a compelling character.

Watch it! It will actually make more things make since. Angel is better IMO. But I love both shows!!
