I love the first two (Time Burton directed) Batman films, but the one's that followed were horrendous. I do love Batman Begins though. That was just a great movie all around. I am pretty confidant that Dark Knight will be equally as good, or possibly even better (with the inclusion of Heath Ledger as the Joker and Maggie Gyllenhaal to replace the horrible Katie Holmes).

And Indy....i'm forgetting all the classics. Lol. I'm looking forward to the new one of that too! Will do haha. I must admit I liked the trailer for Indy 4. The original Star Wars trilogy is easily the best trilogy ever, imo. Lord of the Rings is a close second. Nahhhh.... One word.... "Ewoks" haha I love all the Star Wars movies. and yes die hard was great as well. again i guess its not a trilogy anymore but the fourth one still rocked! The only thing it lacked was the brutalness of the first 3. All the swearing and blood and violence. Yeh it had violence but it all seemed more toned down than it was in the first 3. Still a bloody awesome film. Plus it had kevin smith in.lol. That, my friend, is why the DVD release is far superior *nods* The 2 disc version has a "harder" cut, which replaces all of the lovely swears that were removed from the cinema version. It's kinda lame to think the swearing makes the film better.... but fook it really does. I highly reccomend watching the harder cut. I've seen the first 2 Die Hards, still need to see the last 2, but the first 2 were really good. I like what Terminator did with its trilogy. Setting each one so far from the first. T2 is just as good, if not better, than Terminator and I know a lot of people weren't fond of T3, but I really enjoyed it. I would have liked to have seen the original John Connor actor, however, play the role even though I adored the actor they got. But I was biased with him 'cause I loved him in Carnivale. You should definately watch the second two Die Hard films. They're great. As I said above, if you can watch the harder cut of Die Hard 4, it's just a lil better with the more traditional language hehe. I agree about T3. It wasn't up to the standards of the first two by a long way, but it was a good film in its own right. The only thing that bugs me about it is the massive series continuity problem it causes in the opening dialogue. John says T2 took place when he was 13 which is wrong and fucks up the timeline. Urgh. I love the Terminator series. First one was great, the second was brilliant and surpassed the first in every way, and the third was just an enjoyable popcorn flick. Looking forward to part 4 with Christian Bale as John Connor. I'm not a fan of recasting Connor again, no matter how much I like Bale. He will be the forth actor to play him haha. It's all irrelevent however, as it's directed by the guy who directed Charlie's Angels, and will therefore suck massive testicles. Lord of the Rings is by far the best trilogy ever. I absolutely adore it. I think the only reasons why it worked so well is because they were all made at the same time, and that it was made by a person who truly loved and cared about the books. Peter Jackson, you rock my socks lol And Spiderman 3 was cringe-worthy. Especially Tobey dancing around, wtf was that all about? Ick, and his hair was greasy and bad too. They should have really tried to make something better than that. I really like the first 2, but blech to 3. +1 Those horrible Emo Peter scenes were my favourite cinema moments of 2007. I loved the sleaziness of it ahaha I love the first two (Time Burton directed) Batman films, but the one's that followed were horrendous. I do love Batman Begins though. That was just a great movie all around. I am pretty confidant that Dark Knight will be equally as good, or possibly even better (with the inclusion of Heath Ledger as the Joker and Maggie Gyllenhaal to replace the horrible Katie Holmes). +1 MASSIVE post

Trilogys are good if they have a purpose and not just so that the companies can make more money.
Good Trilogies:
Die Hard Terminator Jurassic Park Bourne Star Wars American Pie
Bad Trilogies:
Matrix Matrix Matrix Matrix Matrix
Oh and Shrek. The first two were good but the third one was terrible

What about Blade? True, none of the movies are AMAZING, but I find them entertaining enough to watch and own them. I think the three movies were pretty consistent.

I thought Blade 1 was bloody immense! blade 2 despite being directed by guillermo del toro whos a mastermind, really lacked something I thought...and blade 3 was hilariously bad I though. Dracula was just beyond lame...and I thought buffy vs dracula was bad...lol. So in general I only thought blade 1 was good, I did like the effects on the mouth stretching vamps in blade 2 though.

As a potential film student i second that stakey Now I personally didnt like the LOTR films, mainly because i am purist and some of the changes that the screen writing trio made were out of the blue but i must admit that i wasnt satisfied by the third Star Wars film i always felt that it lacked in comparison to both the Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope ,could be Gary Kurtz's departure from the production helm? I honestly cannot tell

The first two were good but the third one was terrible Ironically, Star Wars and Bourne asside; I think the Matrix trilogy has by far a more worthwhile overall story than the good trilogies you picked. Terminator, American Pie and Jurassic Park all have substantially weaker 3s (JP 2 wasn't all that either lol) And Die Hard has 4 instalments

I do enjoy the Austin Powers films as well. Again though, I think 3 is the weakest of the three. I like the Naked Gun trilogy too lolol

The Man with No Name Trilogy is also fantastic. Clint Eastwood's best films.

lol no way. scream 3 was rubbish. I did like the woman who tailed courtney cox around though, she made me laugh. I definately wouldn't compare Scream to something like lotrs though.

I love the Scream movies. I am a huge fan or horror movies and the original Scream turned into just this brilliant little gem of a movie. Wes Craven originally intended for it to just be a spoof of horror movies, but it ended up being really darn scary. The opening scene is still my favorite horror movie scenes. I really enjoyed Scream 2 as well, and Scream 3 was fun to watch, but only because it was more funny than scary.
But the original Scream is my third favorite horror film, after Halloween and A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Scream 3 WAS pretty bad, but the ending made up for it. That ending was utter perfection. The Scream Trilogy has lots of rewatchability. Can't really say that for the LOTR movies, they're too [censored!]ing long lol. I guess long movies aren't for everyone. Personally I love that they're so long. I wish that they were longer than what they are (even longer than the extended versions which I only watch). lol, but that's just me
