One more question: which (if any?) of the characters know Gunn is a vamp? I don't think it has been outright confirmed any know about Gunn, but I have a feeling Angel knows, and probably Wesley. Spike also knows. I remember him saying something in issue 2 like, "Can't believe Gunn had to go get vamped..."

I think that Tara should come back, but not because she is my favorite character. I think that ger death was very cheap. I also think it was handled poorly. i dont know i think her death was inevitable, and Joss toyed around with the idea of Buffy bringing her back with a wish, but on a different note- do you think Buffy wouldve brought her back from the dead after she was brought back and had been through being ripped out of heaven herself?

Yeah I think that is what he said. *looks it up* "Still can't believe Wesley had to go and die, Gunn had to be a four-course buffet without asking boss-man to sign off on-"-Spike. Yeah I have a feeling that Wes might know due to the "Big Guys in a White Room".

Got mine today, expected more because i didn't know we would pick up again at #9. I always expected fred to come because of Cyirus Vale orlaphian window box that hid memories and in a way a part of her, like illyria says there's a hole. Fred is clawing her way back and taking back her body hence illyrias even wierd behaviour. I still say Harmony sires Gunn and tracks her down and kills her, ohh and poor eves dead, shame.

ohh and poor eves dead, shame. I was expecting Eve to return in ATF, so it's a bit surprising. But I'm glad I know for sure now what happened to her. Doesn't mean she and Lindsey won't come back eventually, since just about everybody who dies in the Buffyverse somehow comes back lol.

Hey. New here (been lurking for a few months) just made an account. I just wana briefly say, originally BuffyS8 was my fave, but after issue 5 of AngelS6, the writing and story is picking up and is near enough blowing Buffy out of the water. Ive read the (ish) explanation of how Fred could still be alive, but right now it feels like a Warren mistake. And anyway, question. I didnt quite understand what happened during the fight, a big bright blue energy, Angel "What is - Oh, this is big." Then the next image of Angel has no explanation of what the blue thing was?

Fred's return seems just a tiny, tiny bit cheap to me, but I can easily overlook it because I have no doubt that, given an actual sixth season to work with, it would've taken a lot longer. Alos, we haven't seen what's going to happen next yet, so there's a good chance that she will just die again or something.

I think Gunn's story is the most interesting out of everyone's so far. He is the character that I wonder about the most, and I can't wait to see what happens. He is conflicted for sure, and I think there is more to Gunn then they are letting on right now. Hopefully First Night will give us a little more insight.

Awesome comic! I'm loving the writing and the artwork! Brian's got the tempo, banter, and motivations of each character to a T; moreover, Urru's artwork is so emotional and moving it almost has an electric charge to it (no pun intended)- and I've found myself going back after the umpteenth reading and admiring the art all by itself. Couldn't be happier. I saw a few people mention this already, but I'm going to bring it up again: When Angel rescued the man on his dragon, I totally could hear the theme music in my head. I could also hear the roar of the crowd, and the demons for that matter, as the fight commenced. Everything is being orchestrated so well. IDW and all the PTBs: There is going to be a season 7, right? RIGHT!!! I've posted a few predictions before, but I can honestly say I don't know where anything is headed anymore- which is a rarity for me. That's not to say something won't come to me in the middle of the night and I'll have to share it with everyone; but, as for right now, I'm anxiously awaiting 'First Night'.

This issue was great. I have to say that I also was confused by Fred's return as I thought like others that her soul was absolutely gone. I just figured it was another one of Joss' 'Warren' mistakes. It was never questioned on the show whether it was true or not. I agree that the sources were certainly questionable but if Fred really is back I would have preferred if someone on the show had actually questioned whether Knox and the Doctor could have been lying. I just figured they weren't since no one brought it up.
I have no problem with Fred being back. I love her to death. Plus everyone is saying she needs to be rescued but I kinda remember her being a heck of a fighter on her own.
Can't wait to see how it turns out.
Oh and I also figured that the Angel vampire thing was up his bum as well. You pervy people aren't alone!

Just got this issue and A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I have to say that After The Fall is upstaging season 8 a lot as the issues pour out one by one. With season 8, I worry a tiny bit when each issue is released because I feel like it may ruin the show. Sounds weird but true. Whereas with Angel, I have no worries AT ALL as it is completely in tone with the show and Brian I think that you are doing a more-than fantastic job with writing the comics. A very well done. Onto the issue itself, SO GOOD! The scenes with Wesley in the White Room were great as was the scene with Lorne getting all drunk and depressed a little. Angel shaving was great to see. I just have come to the conclusion that vampire's grow hair a lot slower than humans do and the reason he's gotten good at it is because he's had to do it more often than he would have to usually. Also it's cool how he still cares about his appearance. The fact that the girls/demons in bikinis are "more appropriately attired" made me laugh. Does anyone know who came into the room during Spike and Illyria's conversation and also during Gwen, Connor's and Nina's conversation? Can't figure out who that was. The epic feeling of the issue was really good! Also seeing the gang fighting side by side made me all nostalgic and was great to see. And Gunn looking on was creepy and it was good to see him there. Now...FRED! Great to see her back. The thing is, everyone seems to think that it is indeed Fred that we're seeing, and it may be. Although, see "The Girl In Question" where Illyria appears as Fred. Couldn't it just be that the affect Hell-A is having on Illyria could cause her to become more like Fred, sort of like a split personality thing. If she indeed does have Fred's memories etc that channeled into her function system then Fred's soul still may be gone, but Fred's personality is starting to kick in again in Illyria. It's just a theory. And Spike seemed to predict that it'd happen, like he had a suspicion that seeing Wes would be the trigger. Can't wait to see what happens next but it'll kill me waiting until Issue #9! But First Night should be great! And March 2008 part 1 is released according to the back of the comic? I'm sure this is wrong lol. CANNOT WAIT for First Night part 1!

Hey, great theory! ;D I'll buy that for a buck. That was Lorne, showing up to rally the troops to Angel's defense.

Angel shaving was great to see. I just have come to the conclusion that vampire's grow hair a lot slower than humans do and the reason he's gotten good at it is because he's had to do it more often than he would have to usually. Here's a morbid explanation for why a vampire's hair would still grow tho I also think its at a slower rate than a human's - Hair growing after death is "in a way it is true up to certain limit where the growth post mortum stop. The only part of hair that's still alive is the follicle, which has its own blood supply. Once that supply is gone, there can be no growth. Fingernails are the same way." (http://en.allexperts.com/q/Pathology-1640/hair-nail-growth-death.htm) So theoretically even tho a vampire is dead, as long as blood is going to the hair follicles, voila hair growing. Blood is life, yadda yadda yadda. So drink up vampys if you want to be strong and healthy with the prettiest hair on the block.
