On his myspace, Brian said that the mystery character from Franco's #5 cover is revealled in Issue 4. It has to be Groo.

Long but great ending, I wanted more illyria, does this mean she's behind the door fighting an internal struggl with Fred trying to take control of the shell?
what was Gunn looking for? I think he's looking for Cordy, the fish has told him shes back.
why did angel teleport and who did it???
At least we know who turn Gunn, my first thoughts were the senetors vamps in NFA, then I thought maybe angel did but only half way like the man on the sub but we know angel saw someone drag him off. I am 100% sure Spike would never, kill him and put him out of his misery yes, but not turn him.
So Gunns sire has to be.............................. HARMONY she was pulled and turned from a big battle, pt 2 graduation day and I always got the sense she liked him after the gang found out he played a big part in Freds death, Connor and Lorne didn't have time to escape so she didn't have time either. Being turned by someone like Harmony would pee off anyone plus I read she was comming back, but I think in the Gunn flash back in First Night he will track her down and dust her for what she has done.

I did some back reading on the last 4 issues. In issue #2 when Angel meets Connor, Connor asks why Angel wasn't around. Then Angel responded by saying that he couldn't move. In the beginning of this issue Angel was transported out of the fight from the alley onto a rooftop. He then sees a zombie trying to kill a couple then without thinking he jumps off the roof and realizes his heart was beating. He didn't realize he was human when he jumped off and he broke his back and his legs when he fell and hit a car. I think that's why he said what he said to Connor in issue #2. Angel missed a lot of time during his state of incapacity.

Just finished reading this issue (the add near the end was how I found this place ) and while Wes disappears because he is connected to the W & H building, which Gunn blew up, does this mean he's gone, as in forever?

I'm sure he's not gone forever. That's one sh*tty way to end a character if he is. And Joss writes way better than that.

Better not be gone forever. Wes is my favourite Angel character. I really loved this issue.. seemed to last me longer with all the talking. Really interested to see more of First Night.. and what's up with the time slips ..very odd.

IIRC the time slips are Illrya's power.

I finally got this in the mail yesterday (I had started to go a little crazy...). I absolutely loved it. The snippet of the final fight was just really a nice treat (Angel jumping off of the roof and realizing he had a beating heart was just....wow). I also loved the few moments where we saw how much Angel really cared for Gunn and Wesley (wondering where Gunn was during the fight, and then trying to shove Wesley out of the way when Lorne's girls showed up, even though he is a ghost).
I also really enjoyed the reappearance of Lorne and Groo. They were written so well, it was just like they had been taken straight from the show. Interesting ending as well (Wesley had better come back soon!).
I can't wait to see how this fight with the Lord's turn out.

I don't think he's gone. I think it's kind of like the white room: one minute they're in the elevator, the next they're in front of the big black cat. I think the situation was the W&H higher up's basically saying, "Hey Wes, stuff's going down, the building just blew up, we need to talk to you."

You know, I think you're probably right. Either that, or maybe they have some sort of mystical leash on him and he can't go too far from the W&H building.

Wes is so coming back. He's as important to AtS as Angel is at this point, IMO. Season Five was pretty much ABOUT Wesley in many ways, especially the last arc, and I know Brian wouldn't introduce him to be ghosty for a few issues and then shoo him off.
And, oh yeah, he's on the COVER to #5 (lol)

IDW said there was going to be a huge suprise ending....where was it all that happened was Wes disspaeared and we all know he will come back I'm guessing he will be corporeal. Sort of like how Owen is in Torchwood series 2 ***SPOILER*** dead but in the world.

I FINALLY got this issue today. Love it! It's so good. The alley scene parts were cool with Angel jumping and hurting himself. Spike and Spider's conversation among themselves and the Loan Shark was nice to see. The Shark was a hologram lol. Wonder if he has a cool power to do that? The time slips with Spike and Spider were also cool. LORNE! Silver Lake! Yay! Groo! Cool. Gunn blowing up W&H. OMG! Did NOT see that coming. Big shock. And Wesley disappearing at the end was a shock too. And Lornes "I'm gonna be blamed for this, I know it." line was classic Lorne. Fantastic issue! Bring on Issue #5!

IDW didn't say there'd be a huge surprise. They said it'd be an explosive end. Get it? Explosive?

First time posting on this site- I, like many others, discovered it through the ad in #4. It's great that a site like this exists because I've wanted to post on Whedonesque so many times now it's crazy. Anyways, I would just like to point out that Gunn did wait for Angel to leave before he blew up Wofram & Hart; so, even though he's all vamped out, he still has 'the mission.' Gunn, now more than ever, is not afraid of Angel. He wasn't afraid of Angel when their roles were reversed, and he's sure not afraid of him now- even if he doesn't know Angel's human.
I'm also thinking that the Hagun Shaft given to Spike to give to Illyria will be used as a means to get Fred back. Illyria will try to kill herself, but it a) either wont work and just bring Fred closer to the surface, or b) will work and we'll only be left with Fred. What does everyone else think?
Also: Who thinks that Groo will fight in Angel's place? Maybe that's him in #5 with his hair cut short to pass as Angel. Just a thought...

Especially the Groo passing as Angel one. I could totally see it happening next issue. It also makes sense because of the whole Couplet episode in Season 3. I'm also really excited for the ending of issue 5! According to IDW, the ending will be bigger then all the other four combined!

I have no one else in my mind but him with short hair.
