Well it really could be anyone in the grave, except for Spike, Connor, and Fred. Just because Angel isn't shown doesn't mean it is necessarily him. Could be Wesley, Gunn, Gwen, Nina, Lorne, Groo, etc. I'm sure it probably is Angel, we just can't be completely sure yet.

Gotta say, I'm loving Alex Garner's covers! Wish he'd been doing them all along--it's almost like having Jo Chen working on both "Buffy" and "Angel".

I'm just p****d that I had to order the Brian Miller cover for #10, 'cause the place I get 'em from didn't have the regular (non-virgin) Garner one.

(I got the Miller one just so I'd be able to read the issue right away, and I'll go back and get the Garner one later on...)

I think that it might be Angel in the grave, but he will be back. I would say if he comes back we will get to have some Angelus action before he gets his soul back, if he gets his soul back.

Or maybe Wesley get to rest in peace at last. It really could be anyone at this point. So I am not calling it until I read the issue.

Another possibility is that Angel isn't actually human after all -- Wolfram & Hart could have cast some mojo on him to give him human frailties and restrict his vampire powers. In which case he could have one of those "OMG, I'm dead!....wait. Wait. No I'm not. STOP BURYING ME!" moments.

I could easily see W&H doing something that twisted. "We just made you THINK you were human so we could make you suffer. After all, you wanted it so BADLY...we just did you a favor! Did you enjoy feeling all helpless and vulnerable?"

I thought of this after reading #10 and seeing what appears to be actually going on with Hell-A and Angel's normal world. (I almost said "the real world" but that's not right either, heh.)

I don't think that Angelus is going to pop up unless someone is waiting there for him as soon as he comes out of the grave to ensoul him again. That cover is for number 12, so after that there's only 4 issues, and I'm not sure there is enough time to cram Angelus into this already full story. Of course, given the incrediable packed-in story that was in 9 and 10, it might be possible.

Local store should have them. There are two comic stores in my local area; one of them didn't carry it because all they had were Marvel and DC, and not too many of those, but the other store, which was a serious collector's store, had all the back issues I needed at the time (#1-7).

So find a store that stocks independent press comics and you should be set. Or wait for the TPBs and order them from Amazon, if you can stand the wait.

I am sorry, I lost track of the comics for quite a time and just wanted to ask: Is this really the ending of the series? Is issue 12 really the final chapter?

I wonder how this ends becasue orignially After The Fall was only going to be 12 issues. So this would have been the finale so I wonder what they edited or kept out for later issues. What is the release date for this issue? The last I checked TFAW had it at August, but that doesn't seem right.
