Absolutely brilliant movie. So many scenes just floored me, namely the ones with Christoph Waltz. He had better get an Oscar nom or I will be pissed. That first scene alone was the best thing I have seen this year. Man, Tarantino rocks.

Ponyo was another Miyazaki masterpiece.
District 9 took me by suprise, thought it was brilliant.
Star Trek was cool, and I have never said that before, ever. about anything "Trek"
Just took my kid to Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. Very funny, good time.
500 Days of Summer was the best date movie I have seen in years.
GI Joe was garbage.
Transformers was forgettable and insulting.

Friday the 13th - 7/10 (like Sam Winchester vs Jason Voorhees)
Obsessed - 7/10 (Beyonce has some moves! Watch out Buffy)
17 Again - 7.5/10 (Unexpectly funny and quite good)

Saw New Moon at midnight and didn't like it. I've never read the books, so I bet fans will love it. I thought the first was mediocre, equal parts good and bad, but New Moon was just overlong and didn't interest me much. The visuals in the first movie were a big redeeming factor, but there was barely any of that here. And Bella might be one of the worst characters of all time. I knew nothing going in and never expected her to act anything like that. Holy crap. She took teenage angst to a new level.

I was actually too scared to see The Unborn. Ever since The Ring, shit with dead kids freaks me out. That movie was laaaaaaame. Not scary at all, well the old guy was kinda freaky but yeahh lame. |
