They did have someone walk into the library....this is the scene from Passions:
Xander: (hops up from his chair) Hello!
They all look behind them and see Jonathon and a girl come into the library.
Xander: Excuse me, but have you ever heard of knocking?
Jonathon: (gestures to the library before him) We're supposed to get some books. On Stalin. (nods)
Xander: (points at Jonathon) Does this look like a Barnes & Noble?
Giles: This is a school library, Xander.
Xander: Since when?
Giles: (to Jonathon) Uh, y-yes, yes, uh, third row. (gestures to the stacks) Historical biographies.
Jonathon: Thanks.
He and the girl walk past them, up the stairs and into the stacks. The others watch them go until they disappear. Xander points out of the library. He and Cordelia pick up their things and start out. Giles looks at Buffy, confused, but follows.
Giles: What... (gets a look from Buffy) Oh!
Jonathon comes back out of the stacks.
Jonathon: Hey, did you say that was the... (sees they're gone) Hello?
Cut to the hall. Xander and Cordelia lead Giles and Buffy as they walk along.

Oh! And I would definitely clench my butt cheeks if I was jumping off a tower into a hell portal about to die!

Thanks for the scene script Bitca! So was this the ONLY moment when students actually walked in the library?

i think there were a couple, bt Cordy probably spread rumours that only losers hang out in the library, so people steered clear of there for fear of being dubbed a loser.

Heh, yeah Jonathan and the girl, and Owen. They were like, the only ones apart from the scoobies who ever entered the library for books.. How annoying.

it always bothered me that Willow was the one who was cyber-stalked... she seems like the least likely to fall for that. i always felt like she was too smart to fall for someone saying that they liked her... best quote (Terribly paraphrased): "Xander: I could say i'm an elderly dutch woman. Buffy: But you aren't. Xander: But who's to say i'm not if i'm in the elderly dutch chatroom? Buffy: I get your point. Oh my god, i get your point! This guy could be a circus freak. HE'S PROBABLY A CIRCUS FREAK!" it annoys me that Willow talks to the computer as she types, and that the computer talks back to her That episode also contains so many examples of the classic lazy television trick whereby you can shut-down a computer by turning the monitor off...

I have always wondered why Buffy and the Slayerettes didn't take more unique weapons into the final battle in "Chosen". Like the troll gods hammer. You can't tell me that wouldn't have worked on ubervamps. Faith could have carried it till Willows spelled clicked on and then handed it off to someone else. Or they could have repaired the electro-guns used during season 4.

Or they could have repaired the electro-guns used during season 4. Probably because the focus was on the Scythe. Thematically, it's the only weapon that mattered in that fight. Well, the amulet kinda helped too, but the whole "my power becomes our power" deal comes from the Scythe, and to have any other iconic weapon there runs the risk of overshadowing it. But why only use Olaf's hammer at the final battle? Buffy could very well have used it when she fought the ubervamp the first few times. Heck, even when she fought Caleb. Probably safe to assume that it was lost in "The Gift" at some point.

I just wanted Faith to be armed with her Jackal knife for the final battle. that would have been awesome.

About people walking into the library at bad times; That was already shown once and to have several scenes like that would be redundant and timeconsuming from a storytelling POV, since it's already been shown that it does happen. The writers probably saw it fit to show it once so we would get that it does happen off screen. After all, we only have a certain amount of time in each episode. i think there were a couple, bt Cordy probably spread rumours that only losers hang out in the library, so people steered clear of there for fear of being dubbed a loser. That's a good explanation too. And another thing, doesnt Buffy ever have class? She got great ACT scores, and passed some classes, but majority of the time she was in the library. Maybe not off screen. Cordelia isn't a reliable source. She didn't really notice anything until Marcie. Buffy and Marcie just made the problem obvious to her. I don't think the Mayor would have wanted any cops or other people he didn't have control over to get a hold of those taps, filled with demons that his voters shoul dbe kept unaware of, so he told Snyder not to put any up. Maybe Giles ahd the key? Or did you mean when Giles wasn't there? I have always wondered why Buffy and the Slayerettes didn't take more unique weapons into the final battle in "Chosen". Like the troll gods hammer. You can't tell me that wouldn't have worked on ubervamps. Faith could have carried it till Willows spelled clicked on and then handed it off to someone else. Or they could have repaired the electro-guns used during season 4. The troll hammer was clumsy, used for force, not precision, and the uber vamps where very quick. I doubt it would have worked on Glory is she had been at her full strength. Buffy wouldn't have been able to get a hit. Also, the electoguns might be lost by now. And electricity hadn't been used on uber vamps. For all they knew, it would only tickly them. In 'The Initiative' right at the beginning, Forest, Riley and Grant are talking about Buffy. Whilst they are discussing her, we are shown her being a clumsy Mook, now Buffy is meant to be all balanced and super-strong and with it. And generally not clumsy. The only time she's 'off' is when she's ill. There was nothing wrong with her at this point so I think they really used and abused SMG to prove back-up for Riley's lines.... She can't always be in slayermode. She's been clumsy before. For example; In the first episode, doesn't she walk into Xander?

I dont really think she was clumsy when she was standing in the line, didnt she break the ice cream machine? That would be because of her strength.
And the hammer probably is still in the wreck that is the tower, considering Buffy seemed to be the only one who could lift it, which would be inconisistat because a chain was holding it up.
And now that I think of it, there was a ton of students in the library getting their books in Anne.

Buffy's quite often endearingly clumsy. We know she's a terrible driver. I remember an episode where she burst a pen and then smeared it all over her notes. Plus the scene in "Selfless" where she's balancing the pencils on her head and falls over when the phone rings. There's probably more I'm forgetting...

Everyone can have a dodgy pen. And i think the phone rung when she was balancing a pen, so simple distraction. Another example; in "Flooded", she throws the gun away and accidentually fires it. Maybe I've exaggerated it in my head, but I've always thought of Buffy as a bit of a klutz. It always seemed like an in-joke.

Oh, there was also the premiere episode of season 3, "Anne" that showed several students in the library checking out books for school, presumably. And I suppose you could also count the season 2 ep "Go Fish" when several swim team members were locked in the book cage.

the thing that bothed me the most in the show was oz's werewolf apperence. when he first came out as the werewolf it was different from the way he looked in season 3 and 4. sorry that really did bother me. and also about buffy necklace in season 1 it was like the key thing and then we never saw it again in incoming seasons.....

She over-uses her strength getting the slide out of the machine in Tough Love - this and the above suggests there are several moments when she is not wholly coordinated.

The werewolf thing bugged me too. I don't think they needed to change the costum, it looked okay in season 2. The necklace was seen in Innocence, but you're right, it would have been nice to see again.
