I can see the covers over at whedon.info. Here is the link to the Cordy cover.[/url] Gotta say, I'm not loving the Runge covers.  They arn't bad, I just don't like the style. I'm also hoping Cordelia doesn't make an appearence, there is no point and I don't see how it could be as important as You're Welcome or After the Fall. But it seems like she will, why else would she be on a cover? Has that happened before? A character appearing on a cover but not the issue? Maybe they are just surrounding Angel with his potential love interests that never happened. Kate/Angel flirting during the first half of Season 1, Angel/Gwen get intimate in Ground State, and of course, Angel/Cordy. Hopefully it's just symbolism instead of her appearing in the comic. |

No comment on Cordy until I read the issue.
Finally saw the covers over on whedoninfo something or other.
Yeah, that's definitely Kate. Love the "Angel" symbol behind Angel in #18.
Is it just me, or did Nick Runge's cover style really, really, really change since "After the Fall"? It honestly could be the coloring, but if you compare his cover to Angel #12, #13, #14 to these, it looks so stylistically different.
The vampire hugging on Angel sort of looks like Tank.

CORDY!  I am not going to get my hopes up to much, but Like I said before: As we all know, life continues after death in Buffyverse and Cordelia is one of, if not the only character that seem to still be ‘active’ after her death/ascension as a higher being. (Wesley who now seem to gone, and not like others who just seem to be ghost/sprits eg: Darla, Joyce) Who knows what her responsibility as a higher being involve. I for one am over the moon that she might be back! My great grandmother die today (she was very old, ok ) and seeing Cordy might be seen again is a real pick me up |

CORDY! Cordy made a great exit in "You're Welcome". She only came back in ATF because there was a reason for her to come back. Cordy should only come back for Aftermath if she has a big reason too. |

Oh Yes, thats very right... I don't want her to come back and just say 'Hi, how's it going' I am sure the Kelley Armstrong knows that and what she is doing, if she comes back there is a point to it.... and I really hope she does, there is still so much they could do with her and I have faith in Kelley Armstrong like so many others do. |

I'm actually getting sick of Cordy appearing now and then. :/ In AtF, it was Okay... But now in Aftermath.... Idk. I just think they should have her in a flashback, or something. Though I'm sure they have their reasons for making her appear again, Im just not that sure how Okay I am with that yet.

Yeah, but they're saying that if she keeps appearing again and again, it softens the impact of all her appearances. Same with Wes. If he appeared again just after he died, it would soften the impact.
Again, though, all hypothetical. We have no idea if Cordy will be in it or not. IDW knows what they're doing, so I'm ready for whatever they throw our way. This is the company that brought us "After the Fall," guys. They'll do us right.

in the cover with connor and Gwen, gwen looks like Riley's Wife, Sam ...and if anyone watches House... season 4, the woman who kept giving House clues as to who she was... and Charmed, the season 6 premiere, she was one of the valkyries.

I really hope Connor and Gwen don't get together again, I hate the two together, I would love to see a 2 page full-out fight between Connor and Gwen, I hope Gwen goes back to her old ways...

I re-uploaded Runge's cover as people have been having trouble seeing it:  ETA: The Runge covers were using the wrong colour space. I've fixed and they should be fine for everyone now. |

Runge's covers for Aftermath are nothing like his for ATF. Quite a dramatic shift. These ones are far more atmospheric, but I prefer the other style.

Ah, I've found that the problem lies with the images themselves. I'm going to try editing and re-saving them and see if that helps, then I'll re-upload them again and see if things work. ETA: The Runge covers were using the wrong colour space. I've fixed and they should be fine for everyone now. |
