Actually, it was this guy. Your humor has killed me. I hope you're satisfied.

Still not proof. You jest! You guys wanted Joss quotage, and now you've got it. Plus, he's standing next to that awesome guy. I mean, I love the dude standing next to him. I kind of want his autograph.

I want to know what it would be like to be that dude, and just come here to talk about the new Angel issue and then see THAT.

Well obviously it would be AWESOME.
Also, I think we may have gotten ever so slightly offtrack. That being said: Aftermath? I like it so far. Yup. I sure do.

Sometimes, off track is the best track.
But I agree, let's make with the track-setting-rightage.
Best line of dialogue, I think, actually popped up in the scene that worked least for me. Kate's scowl line.

Actually, forget that track stuff, I have a question. Were you the person who was reading Angel #17 with me and some other person by the table after the IDW panel? There were three of us.

I'm very worried about this series now. To be honest, if it's dropped in quality from After the Fall I'm extremely worried. I had serious problems with After the Fall, but I still recognized that it had some great story in there. Oh jeez. If the people who were singing AtF's praises (Pat, Wyn) are saying they liked it versus the loving that got sent towards AtF, then I can only begin to imagine my reaction to this piece. Barryshaft, the fact that you equated this to badly written fanfiction is making me want to smack my head against a brickwall. I'm going to read the comic when I get it tomorrow before fully opening the door to this again, but I don't think we can necessarily take it for granted that Aftermath is canon. This sums up my feelings pretty much exactly. I've been wary of Aftermath since it was announced and these first impressions aren't doing anything to change my mind. I'm picking up the issue after work today, so I'll be able to give it a proper review then.

I will be both off and then on topic again. Behold my mighty braininess.
Michelle, Tee, and I got our own copy of ATF #17 so, no, I wasn't at said table with ye. Instead, i read the issue on my lonesome and didn't meet Brian until we interviewed him the next day. Total aside, I kind of love that man. We shared an embrace, he and I but, alas, that dude is married. In the words of Tina Fey: Blergh.
Meanwhile, my favorite line was the give and take between Angel and Kate.
Angel: Screening process? Kate: Working on it.
It's been a while since we've seen that simple but effective humor and I'm so glad it's back.

I will be both off and then on topic again. Behold my mighty braininess. Beholding. Brian is awesome, by far the nicest guy I met at ComicCon. Andy Owens was actually really nice too, wish I had the $30 and space in my bag to purchase one of his original inks. But yeah, Brian was so funny that my friend Antwon, who doesn't even read the books, was laughing during the whole IDW panel. Really cool guys, really enjoyable time. Yeah, that bit was nice. Went on a bit long, but still nice.

I got a laugh out of all the chicks chasing Angel down the street. I had to write a play this past weekend for a Monday deadline. It was rough, and when it came down to naming the character, your name kind of jumped out. So I used it. The play is called "Soft Serve." I'll send it to you one day.

What was this deadline for? Class? Competition? Some third thing?

Third thing. A published playwright, Aurin Squire, came to a staged reading of two of my plays at a school sanctioned event, and then shot me an e-mail about an upcoming festival of staged readings up in NYC. So I wrote the play for that, submitted, and got accepted. So yay, that!
Ethan, your namesake is definitely a douche in it, and he does die via an exploding phallus, but he also gets some great lines. You'd be proud. And offended. But mostly proud.

Wow, an exploding phallus? I imagine that'll be quite a spectacle to behold on stage. You'll have to let me know when it is so I can marvel at your, from the sounds of it, slightly disturbing genius.
