I actually expected last night's episode to be the least-watched one so far, since it was airing at the same time at the BSG finale. So color me semi-impressed.

Is anything stupid-enough-to-be-popular-and-eat-up-Dollhouse's-views on next Friday?!

The positive buzz from this week's episode probably helped it against the drain from those that wanted to watch the BSG finale instead. Not a huge dip by any means, so certainly not a big disappointment this week. Hopefully with all the buzz this episode got, new word of mouth, etc., we might see the numbers increase throughout the rest of the season.

Spring Break partying? I know some schools will have theirs next week... so... I don't think enough schools go on Spring Break enough for that to happen. My school had their Spring Break last week, as did many others. A lot of colleges have theirs all throughout March now it seems, so I doubt any one group on Spring Break would be able to bring the numbers down any.

True... mine was technically this week, but I've been at work every day of the week, except yesterday (took a personal day off). The slavedrive (i.e. professor/mentor) is back Stateside from a week away in Paris, so the ordeal will resume soon enough.

Last night's episode is getting a lot of positive on the internet. It still has great DVR numbers too, maybe some of them will start watching it live after seeing the greatness.

I was under the impression that unless you live in a Nielson home, it may be more beneficial to watch it online or DVR it since those numbers will be documented. I've been catching it live, but I signed up on Hulu today to just rate the episodes highly.Do I have to watch the whole eps online for it to count?

Yeah, but hopefully there are a few Nielson homes in the mass of DVR viewers. Not sure if you have to watch the whole episode. I usually just let it run when I leave the house just in a case you do.

Yeah unless you are a Nielsen home, the best way to help Dollhouse is to DVR it, watch it on Hulu or even buy it somewhere like iTunes or Amazon.
Even just playing it on Hulu when you go out helps the bottom line.

This is actually a far better result than I was expecting, considering the competition from BSG.
That fact probably means it will have higher-than-normal DVR and download numbers (from people who watched BSG but recorded this or watched online), and it may actually be the most-watched episode yet.

When, around, will FOX announce what shows are being canceled and which shows are being renewed?

When, around, will FOX announce what shows are being canceled and which shows are being renewed? May, most likely. Although, DVD announcements sometimes provide clues to whether or not a show is getting picked up for a new season. If the Dollhouse DVD is announced as "The Complete First Season" then that will be a very good sign (as opposed to being announced as "The Complete Series"). No idea when the DVD will be announced though.

That's what I'm hoping for. When do we find out the DVR/Hulu ratings? They keep count of DVR viewings for 7 days after the broadcast date, and then it takes a while longer before they get released. The download numbers can be checked after the episode has been up for a day or so just by looking at the "most watched episodes" chart on Hulu or iTunes. I'm not sure if there's a way we can figure out how many people watch it at Fox.com, but obviously Fox knows. I expect the ratings to go up next week, because a) it won't be up against the BSG series finale, b) some BSG fans might be looking for something else to watch on Friday nights now, and c) this episode has been getting such good reviews.

Ok, well I've been DVRing while watching, so hopefully that helps out. I'm making everyone else watch it as well(or at least trying to...). I hope May isn't a sad month for us. Dollhouse needs to stay on, even though the ratings went down a little bit. Hopefully everyone will watch it, even if they're on Spring Break. Mine was 2 weeks ago! Yuck. I feel behind on the Spring Breakness.
