Not to be nitpicky then, Em... but Mike would be the catalyst, not quite the control. A control is a subject not exposed to the treatment. But I get your point, and I agree that it makes sense. Thanks much.

I'm head over heels with Dollhouse, and this episode only strengthened my sentiments. Did anyone else think "Jimmy" looked an awful lot like a certain actor-whose-name-I-shall-not-say-because-he-is-playing-Alpha? Also, I'm out of words for how awesome the Victor/Sierra ship is. Possibly up there in the top five Whedonverse couples.

Huh, looks quite similar to me, except after putting on a couple of pounds.

Are you thinking that was Alfa? or just commenting that they look similar?

Just commenting on the similarity. I was eating dinner during episode, and the second I looked up I thought it was him, then realized that it was just the surprising similarity.

FYI the name of the song played at the end is "Lonely Ghosts" by O+S.
Lyrics the devil that you know is better than the one you don't
like lonely ghosts at a roadside cross we stay because we don't know where else to go
the places our old haunts will miss us when we're gone we can't ever move on
so like lonely ghosts at a roadside cross we stay...
the devil that you know is better than the one you don't
like lonely ghosts at a roadside cross we stay because we don't know where else to go
we stay because we don't know where else to go

Well, this ep was GREAT. Finally. It was solid, it had great writing, and the story kept me guessing, then kept me on the edge of my seat because I was dying to know what was going to happen next. This is what the show should have been from the gitgo - this is what the show will be now, though, although I fear that with the declining ratings in the Nielsens, Fox will probably pull the plug.
Shame, too. I mean, a big shame. With this episode, I honestly, for the first time, was able to look forward and see a second season. I just hope Fox knows what a turnaround there's been in quality, and looks at that while weighing the ratings. I think they'll make the decision sometime in May whether or not to renew it.

I literally feel like an idiot. I didnt understand this episode AT ALL!
All I got is that the Actives who were exposed to the drug from the previous episode, are all glitching because of it. So therefore, they set up a situation in which the Actives are able to confront whatever it is that they are glitching about in order to cure it?! WHAT!?

Was a good episode. I wasn't convinced at first, having another "Spin the Bottle" episode right after the last one, but there were some great moments.
I especially liked watching Topher being scared shitless by Caroline and the chair. I bet a lot of people were waiting for a moment like that when the smug guy finally came face to face with the evil of his doing. I was pretty shocked by the reveal that Saunders was behind this exercise. She's not looking so nice now. And that client of Sierra's... what a gobshite. I really hope there's some satisfying payback for him (and I expect there will be down the line, the doll's minds can't really be reset back to episode 1 can they?)
Who didn't see that token 5th doll's early demise coming? lol

So therefore, they set up a situation in which the Actives are able to confront whatever it is that they are glitching about in order to cure it?! WHAT!? After the glitches in the last (and the ones before that) episode, they began to fear what is messing with the imprints. So, Dr. Saunders (big b*tch, I liked her ><) realized that the problem is that some of them needed to have some closure on something in their real lives. Something that their subconscious couldn't rest about. It's not specifically related to the previous glitches, just somethings that, if not accomplished, may keep bringing up the Doll's real personalities. Echo needed to be a hero of freedom (as she couldn't be with the lab monkeys). November needed to grieve for her daughter. Sierra needed to kick the ass of the man that put her there. And Victor needed to get close with Sierra (which he can't do as a Doll). Once all those great needs found closure, the actives went to sleep again (that being the plan), and were imprinted with Doll personality. All clear now?

V+S?
Marcos, what makes you think Dr. Saunders is a bitch? I think she had the Active's best interest at heart, trying to give them what they need, but still maintaining her role in the Dollhouse. Arguably, the Actives glitching only put them in danger of A) the Attic and B) becoming psychopathic.

I agree, Claire's only goal was to protect the Active's and keep them safe, by fixing their glitches and other various problems. What about Victierra? Their names are hard to mash together lol. Sierrtor? Sictor? Vierra?
