I don't really understand if this episode is supposed to be funny or serious. Actually, I don't really get if the SHOW is supposed to be more goofy or more serious...

The promo for this episode was great. Eliza as a background singer is going to be amazing. That dance trainer yelling because someone was eating a mint was priceless.

When I first read the summary, I didn't think I was gonna like the engagement in this episode much. The promo turned my mind in the opposite direction. It looks interesting and funny. Also, more action! The promo said it was Dollhouse's most dangerous episode yet!

I don't really understand if this episode is supposed to be funny or serious. Actually, I don't really get if the SHOW is supposed to be more goofy or more serious... Like all of Joss's shows, it's going to be a mix of both. In his TV Guide interview recently, he said he "can't breathe" if he can't inject some comedy into what he does.

That dance trainer yelling because someone was eating a mint was priceless. I couldn't stop laughing after that part. I thought this episode sounded pretty lame and not that exciting, but the promo really was great.

That quote sounds like he's talking about funny lines or scenes. I mean the entire show...I'm sort of having trouble taking it seriously. The promo announcer comes off a little...over dramatic? I mean, with shows on like LOST now, doesn't this seem a little...messy (script, writing, premise-wise)?

This episode looks exciting, with taking a big turn from last week's.
I'm interested in the whole Lubov situation. It looks as thought Ballard pissed off somebody that Lubov was involved with back home(Russian mob anyone?) and receiving the repercussions of that random harassment of Lubov. I want to know how Ballard knows Lubov is connected, and how Lubov is actually connected.

The whole Lubov plot seems like a strange addition to the plot imo. I hope that arc is wrapped up quickly or its relevance is explained asap.
I like that the show is silly. It is a nice alternative all the heavy that is on every network. I also like that it sin't like lost or heroes where yo are 100% lost if you miss an episode. Its a nice change in my oppinion.

Okay it is official. Today is the day I fell in love with Dollhouse. I need this show now. Joss has succeded again. Buffy, Angel, Firefly and now Dollhouse. I honestly can't wait for next weeks episode, it looks fantastic and after the set up from episode 1 and the amazing flashback and fight scenes from episode 2 this show has got me hooked. Eliza Dushku is doing a brilliant job, the writers are creating a fascinating world and I just hope they all get the chance to keep telling the stories that are contained within Dollhouse. More viewers needed to get the show shifted out of the Friday slot and into a more viewable day like Monday's or Thursday's. If it gets moved more people will watch it, we just need to keep supporting the show until then. SOMEONE IS EATING A MINT!

Very excited for this! Tie, regarding it being "messy" I think that's the birthing pains caused by Fox making Joss re-do the damn thing. I just read the original pilot script for "Echo" and that was full of amazing. It was simply awesome. Probably one of the best pilots Joss has ever done, period. It potentially could have been better than Firefly's pilot. I honestly don't understand what Fox was thinking. Again, around episode 6 is when it sounds like Joss gets his groove back and considering how entertaining these episodes are when Joss' groove is out of alignment, whoa daddy how awesome is the last half of the season going to be.

I didn't know Maurissa and Jed were writing for Dollhouse! This episode looks like it's gonna be great!
Wow, seeing the writers and directors for the episodes gives me such Buffy and Angel nostalgia.

Yes. I try to keep telling myself that the reason I feel the "messiness" is because of FOX's meddling. I haven't had time to sit down and read the pilot episode, but I quickly scanned the opening scene and it was loads better than the one originally aired.

Wait til you get to the third and fourth acts. It's really awesome and there's plenty of action to be had.

These two worlds are not similar. I freaking hate the business end of Hollywood. I have to deal with it occasionally when something crops up with my dad's estate. It's like... the business comes first and foremost, and then the art can happen... within the parameters of the business model.
