I've always thought that line was so Cordy. Specially since Buffy dared speak to her when she hadn't been spoken to. Oh, I agree, it's definitely Cordy, but also really snarky. I do admit that everytime Cordelia was a bitca in season 3, I was surprised, since we've seen her grow so much. I guess she feel of the wagon sometimes, or whatever they call it. Her reaction to vamp Willow was horrible. "So Willow's dead. Huh." I guess it was suppose to be funny, and Cordelia did have reason to dislike Willow, but it just seemed off, her not caring at all. Kinda like Xander causing all those people do die in Once More With Feeling, and the whole thing being played off as a joke. Horrible decision by the writer(s).

I just watched "Seeing Red" and had two "cringe in anticipation" moments, both sparked by a visual cue because I didn't remember the exact order of everything that happened:
-- When the camera cut to a wide aerial shot of Buffy's bathroom, because it meant the attempted rape scene was about to happen.
-- When I saw that Willow was wearing the white blouse. The whole reintroduction of Tara was great to watch, especially at the beginning of "Seeing Red," because her conversation with Willow about Buffy and Spike really played up everything that was great about her character -- her insightfulness, her calm, her intuitive wisdom. Then as soon as Willow showed up in the white blouse, it was "oh, no, Tara's about to die any second now."

Completely agree with everything you said. Although other than that willow scene, I think Cordy's bitca moments in season 3 were pretty justified after what Xander did to her. The one, i repeat one and only, Buffy moment that makes me cringe is that gnarl tearing off Willow's skin and eating it in Same Time, Sam Place. It's so terrible I can't watch! Also not a fan of that bug demon in Shadow. Nasty.
